I have a service dog which is in the picture. She is for psychiatric and medical alert and response. She has been doing amazing. I love how he explains that if you see them in public and especially if their working service you need to leave them alone. It’s extremely important. He is correct with the fact that they don’t need any identification not even a vest. You should never approach and attempt to pet them. Even if “they don’t look like their working. They’re just laying there” they are waiting for a moment of needing to aid their handlers. Some pet owners illegally pass their pets off as service dogs. They aren’t fashion trends or a joke. They are medical equipment. So you don’t know if the Fido next to you is a legitimate service dog or an aggressive pet who is waiting to snap. Service dog can’t be aggressive in any way.

Individual people do NOT use therapy dogs. Therapy animals only work in hospitals, schools and nursing homes with my people. Therapy animals have NO housing rights at all.

Think about people who are allergic to dogs and live closely to another person when you live in a building.

Take a group to the park with the dog, not a restaurant

Legally, service dogs are the only working dog out of the three that can go into public. Therapy and emotional support animals are companion animals. Therapy dogs have a facility companionship.

If you need emotional support from a dog, you are a total failure. Beyond help.
