One of the greatest songwriters of my generation. I was fortunate to see him concert twice. A true professional in every sense of the word.
Lucky to have seen this troubadour at the Centre of the Arts in Regina. RIP dear Gordon.
He has such an enormous catalogue of songs. Sundown reached #1 on the Billboard charts knocking Paul McCarthy out of first place. I could list so many. I’m hooked on She’s Not The Same, love the beat, melody and of course his voice is wonderful. Another story song is Ode to Big Blue about a whale and whaling.
I've got songs I call my DNA songs because they are so deep in me. This is one of those. Thanks for the reaction.
I go the chance to visit backstage with Gordon back in 82. He was very down to earth. Just the way you hoped he would be.
A timeless classic...another of his best is: "The Last Time I Saw Her Face", an extremely brilliant, emotional and poignant song. I think it's one of his best of all time.
