    A lot of people don’t dare analyze this because it rubbishes their narratives that Nintendo needs a more powerful console ASAP. If they do announce a new system, it willl be on their own terms and no one else’s.

      It doesn't help that there's a lack of transparency from data compilers on game sales and hardware sales. Here's a clue: When Nintendo themselves are more transparent than independent data when it comes to data, there's something very wrong.

    Thats crazy, but yes, i`m living proof. I`ve got a ps5, ps4 and numerous other consoles. I picked up a switch about 6 months ago and havent gone back to any other console since. I`m also over 50 games deep physically for it already. I just love collecting for it for some reason, there is something different and better about collecting for switch then ps, xbox etc and can`t put my finger on it. I think a big part for me and maybe many others is every game can be played portably. Switch is my favorite system since dreamcast and its reinvigorated gaming for me, I was kind of falling out of it tbh till I got a switch

      I couldn't agree more. I am a day one owner of the Switch, and at the time I bought it, I was starting to get out of the gaming hobby.. the Switch drew me right back in, and I think the portability feature is what did it for me (not to mention the games..).

      @@michaelcurran4824ughh the games are fantastic, especially all the indie and oddball exclusives the switch gets. And yeh, the portability feature is a big deal for me as well. It just gives every game more playability. I`ve rebought so many games I already own on ps4 for switch just to have them portable. And also from a collectors perspective and a bit odd lol, but with the game cases,, I like how every spine is red and the same white lettering is used for the game titles, aside from the big box collector editions of course. But it all looks really nice up on my shelf, aesthetically pleasing I guess lol. The switch also seems to really cater to the oldschool gaming heads which I love. So many remasters of so many classics.

    This is the real reason why the switch 2 is delayed to early next year or later next year Player. The current switch consoles already on the market are still selling really well. Nintendo needs to take their time ⏲ on the switch 2 console. Nintendo can bring something incredible by taking their time ⏲ and not rushing.

    Paper Mario a must buy plus YS X and Trails through Daybreak

    • @Xoulrath_
      @Xoulrath_ Před 21 dnem

      Paper Mario will probably be great, as most first-party titles are. Ys X is going to run like trash, however. The Switch could barely run IX. Unless Falcom did some serious optimization just for the Switch; I expect that to be a very bad experience. Not MK1 bad, but probably close. 😂

    • @raikenninja4843
      @raikenninja4843 Před 21 dnem +1

      @@Xoulrath_ I played the Japanese daybreak demo and it ran surprisingly well, sometimes dip here and there but pretty consistent 30 fps. I expect YS X to run similarly tbh as Falcom own port is better than NISA imo.

    • @Xoulrath_
      @Xoulrath_ Před 21 dnem

      @@raikenninja4843 Daybreak is a pretty standard JRPG though, right? I know that it's a Falcom game, and that's it 3D. But it's also turn-based, and that type of combat is considerably different than a constantly moving action adventure game like Ys. 30 fps probably doesn't really matter for it, other than it not looking as smooth as it could at 60. Frame drops won't actually affect gameplay either.
      Now, as for Ys X, if it does get 30 fps, and you can play it comfortably like that, then great! I'm one of those players who very much notices the difference between 30 and 60, and much prefers the 60 for any type of action-oriented fare. I wasn't even all that happy with IX until the patch that increased the framerate hit. It made a massive difference in playability, especially since I default to Nightmare.
      But anyway, here's hoping that the game runs well for those of you who wish to get it for the Switch. I'll stick to my Switch being for Nintendo first-party stuff and exclusives to the console, and my PS5 and laptop for everything else.

    • @raikenninja4843
      @raikenninja4843 Před 21 dnem +1

      @@Xoulrath_ Daybreak has action rpg mode where you kill trash monster although it's fairly basic compared to what YS X is. Kinda similar to combat shown by Metaphor which also has dual mode rpg.
      Granted I never really care for 60fps on handheld but on gaming PC it's another story but honestly I'll pick YS on Switch just cause it's easier for me to finish Jrpg on a handheld.

    Octopath was a publisher changeover. I noticed a few days ago it was back up on the eshop, but unavailable to purchase, but now had Square as the publisher as opposed to Nintendo. I wonder if they'll do this with their other games that Nintendo handled like a lot of the Dragon Quest games and Triangle Strategy. Would be nice if you want to download them on sale.

    Truthfully, I still want a beefier Switch to run my games because it can open a lot of doors for other developers to port their games to Switch but on the flip side of things, I am happy for Nintendo that despite adversities, it is still a top selling console with top selling games. It just goes to show that hardware is not everything and should not be a primary factor for you to enjoy the games that you want to play (but of course, limited to the Switch selection 😅). In my humble opinion, as long as the games and console itself has no signs of decreasing sales, then Nintendo will just push this until its 10th year of life 😂

      I suppose the Switch 2 will be at least as powerful as a PS4 Pro, but I wonder what third-party developers are going to with it. There's plenty of talk that third-parties, Japanese ones especially, will give the Switch 2 better support, but I can only imagine it having some late ports from the previous generations and when it comes to big tenpole titles it's going to get ignored, only to have some late ports of those one or two years later.

    Nice to see that One Piece Odyssey is coming to the Switch a year and a half after the other versions.
    I'd say that Bandai Namco will probably release the last SAO game that released last October, SAO: Last Recollection during this Summer or next year, but the Switch is already getting SAO: Fractured Daydream & that one looks much more fun than LR.

    • @pablocasas5906
      @pablocasas5906 Před 21 dnem

      Don't know why Bandai-Namco didn't try to release the Switch version of One Piece Odyssey for the Switch not so long after the other versions, kind of what WB. Games did with Hogwart's Legacy, I know that downporting a game to the Switch is difficul, but this late ports are getting kind of frustrating at this point. I mean, if Bandai Namco are still porting games to the Switch is because they think that there's still a big userbase, but late ports usually tend to sell lower, I mean, do they really believe that the Nintendo audience is happy with waiting more than a year for a Deluxe Edition. The only late port that actually did some good numbers in Japan was Demon Slayer - The Hinokami Chronicles, which was a CyberConnect 2 / SEGA release.
      I suppose that Bandai Namco will continue with this practice once the Switch 2 arrives, I don't think Tekken 8 will arrive on the Switch 2's first year, or if it releases on the system at all

    • @Samsapopin
      @Samsapopin Před 21 dnem +1

      @@pablocasas5906 Well, the PS4/Xbone versions of HL also released a few months after the current gen version & judging by how big & nice OPO is, they probably needed to downgrade the Switch version.
      As for late Switch ports, pretty much! Unless you're not into PC gaming or you don't have a PS4/5 or Xbox, you probably already played some of those original ports.
      And I really don't believe Switch owners even care if SAOLR even comes to the Switch because FD just looks better than the last 2 SAO games or what I said above if you've already played it. I also heard a lot of SAO fans say that they didn't like the game before LR; which is probably another reason why LR sold terribly.

      I've seen some funny comments in some forums, some are saying the Switch is selling more because of tourists in Japan, that weaker Yen is the main reason, among some others. Then there's people saying Sony is not sending as many PS5s to Japan, despite the fact that there aren't any supply constraints, it's just that the Japanese market isn't interested in the PlayStation brand. There's also people wondering why FFVII Rebirth fell off the Top 10 so quickly and now they believe that Monster Hunter Wilds is the only game that could help the PS5 to sell more units in Japan, despite many of them claiming FFVII Rebirth would be the PS5 savior in Japan.
