- Join us for a stroll around the port city of Aberdeen!
Aberdeen is the 3rd largest city in Scotland and often flies under the radar for tourists. It is located on the North East coast where the rivers Dee and Don meet. The surrounding area, Aberdeenshire, is filled with numerous castles, rolling hills, coastlines and distilleries.
Many of the city's buildings were built from locally quarried grey granite during the 18th and 20th centuries, giving the city a distinctive colour palette. The Neo-Gothic design of the Marischal College is a striking and beautiful piece of architecture that's not to be missed!
Since the discovery of North Sea Oil in 1969, Aberdeen became the oil capital of Europe which gave the city a huge economic boom. Today, the city boasts many restaurants, cafes, shops and historical places of interest such as the harbour, The Gordon Highlander's Museum, Aberdeen Town House, Aberdeen Art Gallery, Aberdeen Maritime Museum, The Tolbooth and Provost Skene's House, dating from 1545 and the oldest townhouse in the city!

Haha yes, I lived there for a few years also before moving to Edinburgh and the seaside is lovely!😃
Except when the seagulls attack 😂
The most beautiful thing about Aberdeen is people are so friendly up there
They are very friendly!
@@walkingthroughscotland when I lived in England many used to say Scottish are racist but I personally don’t take people’s opinion seriously when I went there lived for 15 years I had more friends then I had in England .
They are clean people and very polite.
I totally understand they don’t like the riffraff people that doesn’t make them racist to be honest I personally don’t like riff raffs doesn’t matter what colour or culture.

Next time Aberdeen and the North Sea coastline to Inverness. It looks totally gray in colour, but with people going about their business.

How the job opportunities in Aberdeen City?????? Can i get easily jobs in Aberdeen City??
It is a small city and can be limited depending on the field
Didn't see men in skirts blowing wind pipes music instruments 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
Haha not this time sadly 😞
This is so depressing. It's mid-morning on what, by Aberdeen standards, is quite a nice day, and the place is dead. Very few people in union Street, and far too many empty shops.
It was a Sunday morning and did start to pick up a bit once we finished filming. But yes, it's a shame to see so many empty shops on Union Street!😞
@@walkingthroughscotlandIt’s wonderful to see my Auld Hame again. Thank you!🙋♀️🏴🇨🇦🤑
That last emoji, was an accident, sorry.👍🏻
