It's a good thing you're not endorsed by The Catholic Church. Because of you trully new ANYTHING about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints, you would know that truth is that we know and practice The Bible, and we abuse by its teachings so long as it is translated correctly. And THAT IS THE TRUTH. We know as well as any other Christian Faith. Lastly the TRUTH IS we are NOT MORMONS. We are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Short for calling us Latter-Day Saints, and THAT IS TRUTH. We are not Mormons any more than Catholics are Lutherans or Baptists are Methodist. The Ancient Prophet Mormon abridged and compiled the other books in The Book of Mormon. God does not call His Church - The Church of Jesus Christ of Mormons. That dear folks IS TRUTH.

First off, I’m not Catholic. As someone who was born and raised in the Mormon world for 56 years, I’ve never heard it all stated more perfectly and more hysterically! All true! I left the church after a lifetime in it for a lot of other reasons 14 years ago. As this young man is stating, he could go on and on, and he indeed could. And it’s not to be mean. The Mormon people are basically fabulous people but that’s the problem. Their deeds and their kindnesses, and with some, their wealth is all quite impressive but that’s the problem! All the far out things you must do, unfortunately, are not going to save them, but it “feels” like it especially if you’re living all those rules. You develop a sense of entitlement and feel special because you do all those right things. Understanding the word of God, venerating him and giving him your heart, and simply loving others as he would is Christian and way too “simple” but is what it takes, yet it’s very difficult for them to see since they are so busy “working.” A confusing, exhausting, religion that will take everything you have from you, along with our Savior, Christ himself, which is the saddest thing of all.

I became a believer in Jesus at age 22, after years of Catholic indoctrination. Over 15 yrs. of Cath. education, and never once was the substiutionary atonement of Christ mentioned. Instead, they taught that because you are a sinner you made Jesus suffer and die because of your sins...therefore you need to do tons of things to attain salvation.....sacraments, confession, make someone else a Cath. who isn't one, go to Mass, etc. So I was overjoyed to discover i didn't have to worry about those things anymore....Christ took the penalty for sin upon himself. I liken Catholicism to what's spoken in Romans 7......all the terms of the law cannot justify you before God. And that's what Catholicism taught all of us......blind obedience to terms of the law. There are some Catholic believers, like me now, but possibly stumbled onto the gospel by accident, like I did.

How did the Savior pray to the Father so many times in the New Testament. Jesus was also resurrected after His Cruxifixction and has a body of flesh and bones like our Father in Heaven. I'm on a personal journey to learn more about Jesus. I'm talking to Mormons weekly now. They are super kind and very caring about me and my family. Atleast appear to be. They want me to attend their church and be baptized. I'm not sure about it, as I attend a Baptist church already & was baptized there. I have no intention on converting or anything like that. I just enjoy talking to them about God and they make me feel better about myself. I've been in recovery for about 7 years now and trying to strengthen my relationship with God and teach my kids about Him also. But anyways, yes, i find them a little strange but I feel as I'm helping them feel like their mission isn't for nothing. I'm sure they get turned away and shunned on a regular. So I talk to them and allow them to visit and pray with me and for me. I text them throughout the week and let them know someone cares about them. I have seen videos on how they are treated and sometimes looked down upon if they aren't doing enough of this or that. I feel extremely sad that this happens to such good young people. I figure they don't realize what's going on in their church at such a young age (as they are about 19 or so).. but anyways, I'd consider them a friend. As they grow, they'll become more aware and probably leave anyways..as many already have. They aren't pushy about anything in my experience with them.. they just seem genuinely good-hearted & loving. I wish the best for them and hope they have a good future. I pray for all that are lost. Much love - from a stranger in WV. 🙏✝️❤

I’ve been an active member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints since 2013. I even served a mission for 2 years for the church in my mid 20’s. I’m extremely familiar the doctrine the church teaches. Everything that was said in this video has been falsely said about the church and it’s belief for years, this guy just read a bunch of Anti Mormon books and is regurgitating them. He has not actually studied what members of the church believe.
As an actual member who knows what’s taught and believed in the church, almost everything that was said is either completely misrepresented or is false.
As a member of the church I have a very personal relationship with my savior Jesus Christ, I am often influenced by the Holy Ghost which influences me to want to do good and serve others like Christ served. I believe it is only through faith in Jesus Christ that I am saved. I have felt the guilt and shame of sin washed from me because of my faith in the Lord which faith has lead me to repentance. All the blessings I enjoy in this life have come from my Heavenly Father and my Faith in my Savior has come to me because of the doctrine that’s taught in the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Everything said in this video is false? You are either ignorant of teachings or you are lying. You don't teach a baptism for the Dead? Your own website says you do. I'm not alone you can't say that everything was wrong. In fact, many Mormons and former Mormons have all said the things in his video were true. We're mostly true but with a few understanding. That's more accurate than your extreme position with shows you probably didn't even watch the video. Another thing, the Mormon website says that the father, Son, and Holy Spirit are three separate beings and three separate Gods. We stated that in the video. So again, everything in the video was wrong. They were correct, with the exception of maybe the caffeine one because you like everything else the Mormons have changed at this also subsequently.

@@CatholicTruthOfficial Your exact words: "They actually baptize people who are already dead." Really? We baptize dead people? No, in the temples, baptisms FOR the dead are performed by proxy. There are millions and millions of people who lived on the earth and never had the opportunity to hear the gospel, and many didn't even know of Jesus Christ, the Savior. Our Father in heaven is a loving, just God, and He wants everyone who ever lived to have the opportunity to hear the gospel and have the chance to accept or reject it, so if they didn't have the opportunity to hear it in this mortal life, they will be given the chance to hear it in the Spirit world after they die. And in reference to your comment about an atheist; just because someone does the proxy temple work for someone else who has died does not guarantee that he will be saved in the Celestial Kingdom. Only God knows our hearts, and if we have the chance to accept the gospel in this life and fail to do so, well good luck with that! But God is our final judge. It's not for me or you to judge who goes to the Celestial Kingdom (heaven, if you like that word better) or not. But, again, everyone who didn't have the chance here to accept the gospel in this world will have the chance in the spirit world.
The Bible makes reference to "work for the dead", in other words, proxy baptism. 1 Corinthians 15:29 in the New Testament says, " Else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead?

As a son of a mormon mother. I need to correct you in a small detail.
Coffee and tea are not allowed. Yet drinks with caffeine in them are allowed.
The church never "upgraded" the "laws" to include cafinated drinks.
Joseph Smith claimed that God told him that coffee, tea, and tobacco were bad.
Yet it took a couple of generations to eliminate them.
Historical records show that Joseph Smith, among many others, still ordered coffee for their trip out of N.Y.
The younger generation, however, was not allowed to partake.
As for these days. The Mormon church claims that it has nothing to do with caffeine.
It is all about doing what God tells us to do.
Therefore, coffee is not allowed because God fobid it.
However, God does not forbid redbull, or many types of chocolate that are high in caffeine.

"Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God." but later he has Thomas feel his wounds which presumably were maintained for this purpose. @@rosejladybugvideos I’m a devoted member too. None of these false accusations are true. I have a list of things Catholics don’t tell ppl or rather they deny it. Latter-day Saints never deny mistakes etc.
Some things Catholics don’t tell you:
Praying to Virgin Mary is not right
Intercession of saints seem more important than Jesus
They think Jesus is God and that he is some interchangeable being. Paganism corrupted the Catholic Church a long time ago and isn’t the original church Christ put on this earth. The Catholics have been known for burning many innocent ppl for standing against the oppression and even the corruption of pedophilia towards children and even homosexuality. Being homosexual or anything along that is a serious sin. Thou shalt not commit adultery! His Commandments still ring true to this day.
The trinity is the center of their beliefs even tho it’s not three in one.
Lastly, the pope declared sexual sin isn’t serious. Well let me tell you this, I will never leave the true church restored upon this earth. Joseph Smith was a true prophet. The Book of Mormon is true. Just as the bible is. Catholics seem to deny verses in the bible and cherry pick parts to bible bash Latter-day Saints. The trinity is false man made doctrine because Constantine and the Nicene councils made it up. Peter never went to Rome when he was alive but his corpse was moved to Rome and he was turned into some saint. Jesus is the Son of God and isn’t a baby. Mary is the mother of Christ not the mother of God. I have spoken the truth of Christ. Matthew 7:13-14 speaks of how few find and enter the narrow gate that has truth and life within it. Many walk through the wider gate that unfortunately leads towards lies, deception, destruction etc.
Most denominations will accuse Latter-day Saints of not being Christian. Yet did Jesus teach you to falsely accuse a fellow believer? No. So I will say, we Latter-day Saints are the few who choose the narrow path towards life and truth. We solely believe in the original teachings of Jesus Christ. I have spoken absolute objective truth. Opposition’s opinions are subjective and will be debunked without hesitation.
The Catholics have admitted somehow they’re Baal worshipers aka sun worshipers aka Nimrod and his mother being the center of attention. Jesus isn’t the Sun deity and Nimrod’s wife apparently became the “mother of god” to turn nimrod into her son. It’s twisted but true. For Jesus foretold that there would be false Christs who twist and pervert the gospel. I testify it has come true.
Nimrod is not Jesus but many don’t realize they’re worshiping the sun god “sola invictus” aka nimrod in the Roman dialect.

I grew up Mormon. I went to church every week growing up, as well as seminary class in my teens, and some institute classes during college.
Mormons call the Trinity the Godhead to emphasize that it's made up of three separate beings. I don't think that's strange at all. Actually, I think it's really weird that some religions think they're the same person. They're only one in PURPOSE. How could Christ pray to God when he was on earth if they were the same person? "Father, remove this bitter cup from me..."
I never heard of millions of Gods currently existing, only that we can become gods ourselves, which is a potential for millions or more gods in the future, which is part of God's plan. I see nothing strange about this.
I was only told that God became perfect and that's why he understands my trials, nothing about him worshipping other Gods. Actually, I always thought that I as a god, might inhabit my own universe, not just a planet. I don't think that's weird either since I'm a son of God and am born to have his potential.
I was never told anything about dark skin and blacks. Never heard it.
I've never been taught that I'll be REQUIRED to have multiple wives.
If he wants to highlight schisms as an example to doubt a church's validity, he should use Catholicism and Protestantism as an example instead of Mormonism and breakaway cults.
Celestial, Terrestrial and Telestial are different kingdoms in heaven, not separate heavens themselves. Those rewards are assigned according to our works in this life. This is not strange.
Strong drink is forbidden in the LDS church as the result of a revelation to the prophet. I have no problem with a prophet receiving revelation as in days of old, because.... they're prophets.
Mormons perform baptisms for the dead to give them the opportunity to accept or reject it on the either side. It's not a done deal, just an opportunity for them.
I've never heard anything about about John walking the earth.
By the way, I think it's really weird and blasphemous that Catholics pray to Mary as well as create idols of her.

Why don't you call out the government for the statues of national heroes? The images of a person in your coins and bills? Why don't you call out artists for making portraits of people? Why don't you burn or hide the pictures in your wall?
Idols. You mean like those countless gods of Hindus? Worshipping the statues of gods of many titles. Offering them their clothes, foods, possessions?

Davey Jones It’s not what you read that matters but how you read it. My best friend was a lifelong atheist who gained a testimony of the Book of Mormon and the church before he even touched it. He completely changed his life, abandoned his whole lifestyle and was rejected by his partner and family as a result yet continues to press forward. The doctrine of the church is true because it works. It produces a people with the highest sense of well being and happiness which is the principle purpose of life and the promise you are given if you live the principles. This is scientifically proven as well in massive studies that have taken place at UPenn and elsewhere that I read and converted me and other atheists to that way of life. Any denial of that truth is petty cognitive dissonance for the fruit is good and the rest is clearly rotted.

“I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you cannot have eternal life within you."
"Anyone who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise that person at the last day."
"For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink."
"Anyone who eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him."
"I am the true bread that came down from heaven."
"Anyone who eats this bread will not die as your ancestors did but will live forever.”
      (John 6 : 53-58 NLT)
Notice that Jesus repeats this over and over, and also in other places in the Gospel, but non-Catholics deny it is necessary for eternal life. I don't know how much clearer it could be. Jesus lost thousands of followers when he originally said this, but he never retracted it and said it was just symbolic in order to bring people back to his ministry.

And something I will be doing a video on shortly. In fact, the Mormons have a book called, "The Great Apostasy" which I have read and which actually proves the Catholic point to view and history. It actually disproves the Mormon apostasy theory. Ironically. There is a reason that most people in Christianity don't accept Mormons as Christians, because they believe that there are millions of gods out there even though the Bible only says there is one God. They believe that God was once a man like us which is blasphemy since God is the eternal and uncreated being who created all the universes and everything in existence. We believe in our Heavenly Father, and Jesus and the Holy Ghost just work together to serve the same purpose: to help guide us in the plan of salvation. We dont know how god was related, so i dont know where he is getting that god was created by another one. Ive always wondered that. Satan did not rebel, but he wanted to force everyone to choose the right, but we are giving free agency, the ability to choose. We DO NOT believe that Cain participated in the rebellion, because there is no way he old have gained a body. It is not black skin he was cursed with. He had a black mark on his forehead and he was the only one that was cursed. I’m frickin brown, so, guess im a devil spawn. We do not believe in POLYGAMY AND WE DID NOT HAVE TO PRATICE THAT. 10 things a Mormons will tell you (From an actual member)
Note* My aim isn't to debate but to clarify what we believe in. I have organized this into sections and have given my options and church doctrine from things I have studied over the last 24 years. Ultimately regardless of what you read or hear, we extend the invitation to come and see what we're all about and then ask God if what we are teaching is true. He doesn't lie
1# There are Millions of Gods.
Trinity: Yes we believe God and Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost are 3 separate beings.
Ex: Jesus Christ when he was baptized, God the Father said he was pleased with HIS SON and the Holy Ghost descended in a form of a dove (3 different beings at the same place)
John 3:16 the Father send HIS Son to Earth, not himself
Throughout the bible, Jesus says He and the Father are one. The number one is Hebrew for unity.
The bible doesn't condemn multiple God. "know ye not that ye are gods" was the reference Jesus replied to the Jews in John 10:34 he quoted scripture in Psalms 82:6. The reason why the Jews killed Jesus was that He called himself a God. It was blasphemy to think such a thing.
We are also the offsprings of God (Act 17:29) meaning He is the father of our Spirits. We are also joint-heirs in Christ (Romans 8:17) and If we suffer with him, we will also be glorified meaning everything that the Father has will be owers. Thus receiving the title of God. I don't think it's that ridiculous if you have an open mind about it.
    2, 3 God becoming a man
I admit this notion is a bit far fetched but if you can just have an open mind about it. It might not be as ridiculous as you think. I see are the ultimate evolution of man (This is not church doctrine this is just my opinion of how I understand this topic). Is gives members of the church a sense of purpose to be good law binding citizens. If that's what they believe than good for them. It makes logical sense if you believe all the variables. I think reincarnation is a far fetched notion yet we don't bash on Budisim.
God is not Spirit following the Savior’s Resurrection, He appeared to His disciples and said, “Handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have” (Luke 24:39). Some have suggested this was a temporary physical manifestation and that when He ascended to heaven He shed His body and returned to His spirit form. But the scriptures tell us this was not possible. Paul taught, “Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him” (Romans 6:9). In other words, once Christ was resurrected, His body could never again be separated from His spirit; otherwise He would suffer death, the very consequence Paul said was no longer possible after His Resurrection.
Spirit Wife....wtf? Umm if you saw the inside the vail viral video on youtube you could hear the role of woman in the church. They are to be priestesses and goddesses to their husbands. Spirit wife is fake teachings unless you can provide evidence that can change my mind.
Y'all should believe in the 3 levels of heaven also. In 2 Corinthians 12:2, Paul sees a vision of a man being caught up into the 3rd heaven. Deuteronomy 10:14 also says the God belongs in the highest heavens (meaning there is more than one)
#4-6 Spirit Realm, Blacks and Polygamy
It called the Pre-Mortal Life, we were there in the war in heaven as recorded in the book of Revelation. We are not the only church that believes this. The bible teaches us 'Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee' Jeremiah 1:5. Meaning we lived with God before we can to Earth. Think of it like Superman being sent to earth. We all like Superman....right?
Satan and Jesus are brothers.....we are all brothers and sisters spiritually. It makes sense.
For more information about the whole plan of life here is a link to the manuals ever LDS missionary uses to teach you www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/manual/preach-my-gospel-a-guide-to-missionary-service/lesson-2-the-plan-of-salvation?lang=eng
2 Nephi 5:17-21 does say a change in skin color but you wrong when it comes to if you convert you'll be blond and blue eyes.
The prophets have taught us that the skin is a curse of wickedness as found in the book of Mormon but it was also a literal change of pigmentation, thus the generation of all Hispanic, and Polynesians, Native Americans and all other color races whom origin being in the Americas. Now converting into white skin and blond hair blue eyes is false doctrine unless you can change my mind.
Polygamy/Black in the Priesthood: Old news why are we still covering this? The Catholics and other churches make changes all the time. LDS members now have a 2-hour church instead of 3 hours does it make it a false church....no it just means we believe in continual revelation. God still speaks to man today, the heavens are not closed. You need but ask three questions First, does God love us as much today as He loved the people to whom He spoke in New Testament times? Second, does God have the same power today as He did then? And third, do we need Him as much today as they needed Him anciently? If the answers to those questions are yes and if God is the same yesterday, today, and forever, as the scriptures so declare then there is little doubt: God does speak to man today.
Church leaders never said anything about Christ being married, or that he was a polygamist. We don't fully understand why polygamy was a thing (my opinion is they just moved to Utah in the middle of nowhere at the time so how else are you going to pass on the generation, just makes sense to me, but again not church doctrine) Same with Backs in the Priesthood don't know why we just do what God says even if it means killing Isaac your son (Lesson we learn from the Abraham and Isaac story, Don't question God just do it).
Yes, there are branches off the Church of Jesus Christ but they are fallen much like the Jew in the bible became fallen. If we really want to talk about the branches of other religion we can talk about the branches that stemmed from the Catholic church.
    #7, 8: 3 Different Heavens & No Caffeine
3 Degree of Heaven: Already explained it but I'll just copy and paste what I said "Y'all should believe in the 3 levels of heaven also. In 2 Corinthians 12:2, Paul sees a vision of a man being caught up into the 3rd heaven. Deuteronomy 10:14 also says the God belongs in the highest heavens (meaning there is more than one).
Coffee/Coke: Many people choose how they want to apply God's laws in their own life. Some choose not to drink soda....poor Some others like me live coke and don't see anything wrong if you drink responsibly (Sugar becomes more dangerous than actual alcohol). Coffee is against the Word of Wisdom but although science can confirm there is the harmful effect of drinking too much coffee a Mayo Clinic research found out that " two or more cups of coffee a day can increase the risk of heart disease." (www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-lifestyle/nutrition-and-healthy-eating/expert-answers/coffee-and-health/faq-20058339) here are also a lot of health benefits but again only in moderation but that doesn't fall in line with our teachings better to be safe than sorry.
    9# Baptism for the Dead
Baptism for the dead was practiced during the New Testament times. Krister Stendahl, the former Luthern bishop of Stockholm and professor at Harvard Divinity School wrote:
In his first epistle to the Corinthians Paul wrote: “Otherwise, what shall they do who are being baptized for the dead? If the dead are not raised at all, why are they being baptized for them” (Conzelmann, 1 Corinthians 15:29)
It is a fundamental doctrine that if you are not baptism you cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That's what Jesus said to Nicodemus. Members of the Church use their temples to accomplish this biblical practice. Without baptism for the dead, Christian theology faces several difficult questions: what is to become of the vast majority of humanity who never had the chance to hear the gospel or accept Christ? Will God damn all those who have not had this chance? How can God be just in requiring baptism but making it available to so few?
    10# John the Apostle
John the Apostle: He and other examples are a product of translated beings. Enoch, Moses, and John the Apostle were all translated beings meaning they never knew death. The Prophet Joseph Smith said they are as ministering angles so where are here or in heaven or both means up to them and their busy schedule.

Thank you for your well thought out comments. If you don't mind, just a few observations. You said that the Trinity is three separate beings. But you failed to mention that the Mormon church teaches that they are three separate gods. Second, the Bible absolutely condemns multiple gods. Anytime multiple gods are used, it's in a way where these gods are condemned. With the exception of sometimes the Jewish leaders were known as gods because of their position above the people, but if you read the Bible, they were not real gods. They certainly weren't gods and other planets as Mormons teach.
You said that God is not spirit. But the Bible specifically states in several places that "God is spirit." (Jn. 4:24) Paul never said that there were only three levels of heaven. He only said that a man was caught up to the third heaven. There could be four, five, or even seven. It never says the third is the highest. Just FYI.
Christians don't believe in a pre-mortal life. Only Mormons do. Christians also do not believe that Satan and Jesus are brothers. That is just another Joseph Smith and Mormon belief. The Catholic Church has never changed any doctrine in 2000 years. So you can't say the Catholic Church take changes her beliefs, because it's not true. Which is why the Catholic Church is the true church that was started by Jesus 2000 years ago and not one of the thousands of man-made religions that came about in the 1700s and 1800s.
You said _Church leaders never said anything about Christ being married, or that he was a polygamist._ -- Well, here are just one:
“How was it with Mary and Martha, and other women that followed him [Jesus]? In old times, and it is common in this day, the women, even as Sarah, called their husbands Lord; the word Lord is tantamount to husband in some languages, master, lord, husband, are about synonymous… When Mary of old came to the sepulchre on the first day of the week, instead of finding Jesus she saw two angels in white, ‘And they say unto her, Woman, why weepest thou?’ She said unto them,’ Because they have taken away my Lord,’ or husband, ‘and I know not where they have laid him.’ And when she had thus said, she turned herself back, and saw Jesus standing, and knew not that it was Jesus. Jesus saith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou? She, supposing him to be the gardener, saith unto him, Sir, if thou have borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away. Jesus saith unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and saith unto him, Rabboni; which is to say, Master.’ Is there not here manifested the affections of a wife. These words speak the kindred ties and sympathies that are common to that relation of husband and wife.” … “I discover that some of the Eastern papers represent me as a great blasphemer, because I said, in my lecture on Marriage, at our last Conference, that Jesus Christ was married at Cana of Galilee, that Mary, Martha, and others were his wives, and that he begat children.” … “Now there was actually a marriage; and if Jesus was not the bridegroom on that occasion, please tell who was. If any man can show this, and prove that it was not the Savior of the world, then I will acknowledge I am in error. We say it was Jesus Christ who was married, to be brought into the relation whereby he could see his seed, before he was crucified” (Journal of Discourses 2, Pages, 210, 281, 282).
_Baptism for the Dead_ Mormons point to one obscure and ambiguous passage in the book of Corinthians on baptism for the dead. Then they construct an entire doctrine around no information given. Scholars and historians tell us that pagans practiced a baptism for the dead, but there is no evidence anywhere in Christianity or in any Christian writings, or anywhere at all, that it was a Christian practice. Mormons claim this without evidence. In contrast, scholars say that near Corinth where Paul was preaching this, pagans practiced a sort of baptism for the dead. So, Paul was making the point that if even pagans believe in the resurrection of the dead, so should we all the more because of Jesus. Thus, Mormons seem to be using a pagan practice. It's definitely not a Christian one.

I appreciate you taking the time to write this. I struggled to watch this video because of how much was wrong but being spoken like it was fact.
I couldn't believe the title said "things they won't tell you" when in fact, we tell ALL these things all the time! In fact, the missionary lessons teach about the Godhead, and also how they are separate beings, and how both Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ have bodies of flesh and bone. It is literally a missionary lesson taught to investigators.
The pre-existence and the plan of salvation are also missionary lessons. So is the word of wisdom!
If you just ask, LDS members are certainly willing to talk about these things, and if they don't have an answer, they usually suggest asking a missionary, visiting comeuntochrist.org, or admitting they don't know but would be willing to study the question out and get back to you on it.

      @Isabel-yg5qz Před 2 lety

I'd like to provide some verses to refute the claim that we are all children of God, no matter what.
God created time. He never needs to spend time with us to know who we are. He is all-knowing, which means he has always known everything and always will. There is no reason he had to spend time with us before we were created, to know exactly who we are. He knew who you were before he created you. He had you in mind, and knows you better than you ever will know yourself.
This is all within the context of time and how we understand time, just because we cannot comprehend it the way that God can. He is outside of time. That is one of my favorite traits of his to ponder.
These verses are about the way that Gentiles are adopted by God:
God sent his son so that we might receive adoption as sons. So you are no longer a slave, but a son. Galatians 4:4-7
Gentiles are grafted in by God, because of his grace, through their faith. Romans 11:11-24
"he predestined us for adoption to himself . . ." (ESV) Ephesians 1:5
"For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, 'Abba! Father!' " (ESV) Romans 8:15
There is plenty of valuable context for these verses, which I encourage anybody to read. The important point is that there was a before and after. Before, you were a slave (to sin), after, you are adopted.
The Bible talks about a "spirit of adoption", which would not be needed if we were indeed already God's children.
This somehow involves what the Bible refers to as predestined, which I don't fully understand, but it is clear that we are not all children of God. He created us, but it is our choice if we will accept God's gift of salvation through Jesus Christ.

I've been a Mormon in Ireland for 40years, served a mission and open minded. I've looked into the arguments and always look for rebuttal to every accusation.
    This seems sensible to me.
Videos by professor Dan Peterson,Fair Mormon or Jeff Lindsay are good starting points.
The Church of Jesus Christ.org is another excellent resource.
(Our dear missionaries are not that informed I assure you.)
The person making this video has decided on Catholicism and that's great.
But he ain't the source of Mormon doctrine ( Why would he be?)
    As a side note.
You won't find an anti Catholic video from Mormonism.
This just decides Christianity and in a world where we are increasingly losing influence we actually need each other.
There are far more non Christian people on earth than Christian.
The message of Christ does not come across in this video.
I kinda wonder what this guy would find in looking at Catholic History.

There is no anti-mormon sources. The church makes you think there are anti-morment site like people that want to burn down the churches and stuff like that and that's absolutely not true. All these people are doing are reporting on what your church has taught in its history and the history of how your church became an existence. But the men in Utah don't want you to know the truth in the dirty little secrets. You say you've been in the church for 40 years haven't you seen the changes that have happened in your church. Hasn't that ever made you wonder. Even the temple ordinances have changed which are supposed to be eternal.

The Bible is the book that says "You [God] fixed the earth on its foundations, for ever and ever it shall not be shaken;
you covered it with the deep like a garment, the waters overtopping the mountains." So God failed Geology and Astronomy 101.

And you proved it to me. That you don't know anything about the Bible. That's too bad. And I agree with you that just because a book says something doesn't mean it's true. But exorcism can be proved outside of the Bible and has for a very long time. If you don't believe people are possess, then perhaps you need a psychiatrist. Even the movie the exorcist was based on a true story of someone who is possessed. I know several People in the psychological field who had to study the difference between possession and psychologically insane. And even psychiatrists and people in that field refer people to priests when they know that it's more than just a psychiatric condition.
I suppose I should just be an atheist. And believe that everything came about by nothing, from nothing, because of nothing, and for no reason whatsoever. It just happened and everything is an accident. Even though nothing existed, nothing made itself and became something, and that dead thing even though it couldn't move somehow moved and created everything else. Yes, that makes a lot of sense.

And if the answer is "You are the Christ, the Son of God", and you believe that Jesus was raised by the Father, then you have salvation. God is not the author of confusion, and that's what His Word promises us. Any message contrary to this is not of God, and He gave us His Word so that we could judge all things, including the church to ensure that the church stays in compliance with God's Word, not "we" in compliance to their man-made traditions, and repetitious prayers to the saints, ...Jesus told us how to pray, saying, "Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed by THY Name..." etc...

One tyranny falls, another rises in it's place, the same old lies, just different faces, ...only Jesus Christ can bring about World Peace, all other attempts lead to World Order and mass genocide. It's not that God is bad because He allows bad things to happen, it's that there is the general consensus that we are all basically good, despite the "bad" we do. Pennyfarman - Mormons and 99% of ex-Mormons on this comments section have said that the things I mentioned this video are correct, or mostly correct but with a few misconceptions. I'm very surprised that you don't know that Mormons believe there are many gods out there, or as they say a plurality of gods. Here is just a couple quotes, one from Joseph Smith himself...
PLUARLITY OF GODS --- “Now, you know that of late some malicious and corrupt men have sprung up and apostatized from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and they declare that the Prophet believes in a plurality of Gods, and, lo and
behold! we have discovered a very great secret, they cry-"The Prophet says there are many Gods, and this proves that he has fallen. … “I have always declared God to be a distinct personage, Jesus Christ a separate and distinct personage from God the Father, and that the Holy Ghost was a distinct personage and a Spirit: and these three constitute three distinct personages and three Gods. If this is in accordance with the New Testament, lo and behold! we have three Gods anyhow, and they are plural: and who can contradict it! … I wish to declare I have always and in all congregations when I have preached on the subject of the Deity, it has been the plurality of Gods.” (Joseph Smith's Sermon on Plurality of Gods).
THERE ARE MANY GODS --- “How can we believe this, when we believe in the revelation given through Joseph Smith, which says there are many Gods, and that Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob are Gods, and that all good men in this Church shall become Gods?” … This explains the mystery. If we should take a million of worlds like his and number their particles, we should find that there are more Gods than there are particles of matter in those worlds. But the attributes of Deity are one; and they constitute the one God that the Prophets speak of, and that the children of men in all worlds worship. One world has a personal God or Father, and the inhabitants thereof worship the attributes of that God, another world has another, and they worship His attributes, and besides Him there is no other; and when they worship Him they are at the same time worshipping the same attributes that dwell in all the personal Gods who fill immensity.” (Orson Pratt, Journal of Discourses, v. 2, p. 345, February 18, 1845-46).
The LDS website mentions a plurality of gods too.

Catholic Bryan We have a different concept of God. The trinity view of incarnation and a three faced Tribune God is purely Hindu from mythrandism. We are told to not worship other Gods, how could we worship that which does not exist? Obviously there’s many spirits in the world. The confusion is we have a different definition of God. Our whole concept completely differs.
“The Saints worship one God. There are no competing divinities in whom they put their trust. LDS scripture contains such language (1 Nephi 13:41, 2 Nephi 31:21, Mosiah 15:1-5, Alma 11:26-37, Mormon 7:7, DC 20:28, Moses 1:20), but it is qualified in somewhat the same way that Creedal Christians have found a way of saying "three"-as in Trinity-and yet also one.”
Catholics come far closer to worshiping many Gods with their pantheon of saints who can somehow hear their prayers and answer them with churches built and dedicated to them not to Christ. Only we pray only to Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ as Christ himself instructed us to. Lastly deification is clearly Christian as it was taught openly by men whom you call saints. Saint Boethius literally wrote the most famous work of the dark ages promoting that topic. The Consolation Of Philosophy. The first book I read that Got me religious and I felt the Holy Spirit Of truth while reading it because he argued it in such a way that it was indisputable and absurd to claim that’s not why we are here. Then I find all but one Christian sect has rejected that idea and given into what was once considered the most outrageous heresy by denying the meaning of life itself.

      Regarding "Drinking Blood:"
First Leviticus 17 says "eating blood" not "drinking" blood. And we ate blood all the time in animals and food. We are not bound to that Mosaic law anymore. After all, the purpose of that commandment was because God kept the blood for himself as the sacrifice needed for sins. The Leviticus says this: "I have given it [the blood] for you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement, by reason of the life."
This indicates the purpose for which the children of Israel are permitted to use blood: It is to be offered to God in sacrifice.
This offering of blood to God is similar to the way that fat was also reserved to God: Leviticus 3 :16-17 says, "And the priest shall burn them on the altar as food offered by fire for a pleasing odor. All fat is the Lord’s. It shall be a perpetual statute throughout your generations, in all your dwelling places, that you eat neither fat nor blood. Both fat and blood were thus seen as reserved to God in sacrifice.
However, since Jesus is our ultimate sacrifice now, saving the fat and blood for God and for our own sacrifices is no longer required or a commandment, like many things in Leviticus. Do you not wear cotton either? That is also a commandment in Leviticus. Jehovah's Witnesses take this to the extreme and even refuse blood transfusions based on these passages. And we see the prohibitions lifted against eating certain meats and strangled animals in the New Testament. Thus, your argument does not hold up. You cannot just pluck one verse out of context, you have to take it in the whole context of Scripture and even the Mosaic law.

That would be polygamy. And yes Mormons do believe that you get to have your own planet and you get to be a God over that planet because I was taught that all through my upbringing and I was in mainstream Mormonism. And that was taught throughout the church 50 years after Brigham Young died so if the men of the church were receiving Revelation from God why would God let that slip for 50 years. And in your book of Mormon it talks about the light skin in the dark skin and how God cursed dark-skinned people in the book of Mormon and he lifted the curse later on and they became "White and delightful". So for you to say that the church isn't racist is a flat-out lie yourself personally may not be racist but the church is sitting on top of racist doctrine and has never taken accountability for it. And in fact because of the racism in the church and there was a priest hold band on black men up until 1978 and they only changed that and they claimed it was a revelation but they only changed it after they were getting pushed back from the outside world because of the civil Rights movement.

Really? Then why have other Mormons known about these things? Many Mormons and X Mormons have said that the things in this video or true. And I even quoted many of these things from the Mormon website itself. So how could you not have heard of them? Perhaps you don't know your faith very well?

That is very true .The only reason that the Mormons changed the rules about the blacks holding the Presthood was because president Jimmy Carter said that he would make the Church pay taxes 🤔 funny all of a sudden God spoke to Spencer W Kimball and told him that the time has come to lift the curse from the blacks and now they have all the same rights as the whites. It was about money 💰 that Is all !!!

Not only did he never do that, he didn't even have the power or authority to do that. And it goes against the first amendment of the Constitution, for ANYONE to do that.
*_now they have all the same rights as the whites. It was about money 💰 that Is all !!!_*
You do know that there are more than just white people and black people.
And it has nothing to do with rights. There are lots of whites who have never been to the temple, who don't hold the priesthood, because they don't seem to want to fulfill the obligations needed.
The people who were the most upset aboaut the priesthood ban were those who were NOT members of our church and didn't WANT the priesthood, or believe in it.
