- The upcoming update is set to bring a lot of balance changes to the game. Most of the top tiers have been nerfed whilst some of the lowtiers have been buffed. One if those being Leroy Smith who is set to receive a tin of changes that will definitely make the character stronger!

Yes, as Leroy player I waited for the buffs, but buffs so huge, I even don't know what to say, ss1+2, b3(now may be is one of the strongest homing in the game) and thinks that he is cheap.damage specialist are makes me very happy. My only fear that a lot of people after patch will go play with Leroy and I'll got some feelings that I am tier *hore

Honestly it wasnt what i wanted. But i feel they want a more chain punch heavy direction which i do find commendable. Df1 is still shit because it does not jail. But i feel like they just dont want him to have a poke game

@drew_hyuga1987 I'm not good. i haven't played tekken since T3. And the only reason I'm made it to higher ranks is because people are just not used to fighting Leroy. And people hate it
I picked up Leroy as my secondary cuz I wanted to make him look like Morpheus from the Matrix and I love the Ip Man movies….still getting the feel for him but glad he’s getting these buffs after hearing about how bad he is

In my opinion he didn't really get buffed but his stance got corrected so its finally usable but it shouldve been like that from the start.
his only real buff is his UB+2 range, but do we even need that?
Honestly it's a start but it's not enough! This patch is just a fix for our boy Steve and not a buff.
Range on uf2 is decent but it won't change much.
But I think they are trying to play it safe because Steve have been performing well competitively and his usage rate is really high.
So let's just wait and see.
But Lionheart being usable now is huge

@@tristanherb49 use as an orbital, crushes lows very well, so you use it on a read or an enemy string that ends low.
I feel like once the patch drops. B3+4 ender wont be as great anymore. We probably go for B3 hermit 23 instead because of B3 damage buffs

UF4 > QCF2 > 22 > F3 1+2 4 > Dash B3 Hermit 23 does 79 Damage now. before the B3 Buffs it deals like 75-76 damage Im not sure. correct me if Im wrong
Still too early to tell but I feel like using heat at the beginning of the match just to use rapid punch to chip the sht out of the opponent is gonna be the meta LOL 😂 can’t wait to test it out if the chip damage is similar to Raven. I don’t see this as a problem because they can just duck it to dodge the rapid punch spam.

Ehh if the recent tournament is any indication the crowd the chat were bored watching the winner loser and grand finals. These buffs for low tiers are quality of life but they don't make Steve a Ch paragon. He's still losing that game to Bryan Feng and King

Pretty sure you got his frame changes wrong.
I think if they say recovery without saying on hit or block it refers to beeing harder to whiff punish. And all the chain punsh strings that increase the recovery on block for the opponent, they all have something in common, they have a last hit that can be delayed and the increased recovery means, you have more time to delay the last hit, before the opponent can punish you. So its riskier for them to take there turn, if you dont finish your string.
I did say take it with a grain of salt because they aren't specific on all the changes.
Some say on block, other's don't so & usually when it comes to whiffing the say "whiff recovery" like back when Akuma's d12 on whiff was nerfed in Tekken 7.
But like I said we'd have to test if that's what it means when the patch is out.

yeah leroy looks strong with the rapid strikes being better across the board. it might make him too brain dead and with a lot of top tiers getting nerfed people will try him out so enjoy the buffs while you can

So basically they're taking Leroy back to the nightmare character who broke Tekken 😁😁😁😁😁
All of these buffs still doesn't change the weakness of this characters.
1- Throws still beats parryes
2- weak df1
3- no good mids
4- bad power crush (this game is all about stealing turns)
5- character requires taking huge risk
1. This is universal so it is kinda okay(make us not throwing parry without thinking)
2. His df1,1+2 is better in this patch since it is not - 6 but - 2. Even tho it will be nice if the first hit is - 3 on block but we take it
3. Now he has f3, 1+2 as a mid ch, kinda like other df2, even tho it is a not a launch, the dmg is pretty good and it is non recoverable
4. Leroy's power crush is not that good but that is why we have to use parry.
5. Now you are not limited to heavy minus frame into parry setup. You are not force to play the parry mind game, you can step and use other option.

Honestly i like that Leroy is not that good, hopefully the buffs make him better but not OP, i like playing a character that is more difficult to use/ is not that OP, it is more rewarding when you win and I wouldn’t like to see Leroy’s every 2 matches
He should of been buffed since game dropped I wanted to main him so bad now maybe these buffs will bring me back

I still don't see Steve Zafina and Leroy competing with the old top tiers like dragunov feng or new top tier that went under the radar like law and Lilli. They buffed the LH stance but it was already a nerf because you get locked in and can't get out now.
