    Mike Patton is a phenomenal singer, and the band, amazing. The samples are from an 80s pinball machine, Cyclone.

    Let me tell you something... I listen to Mr. Bungle for 20 years and more... And noone, I said NOONE...was able to capture the meaning of their music, their lyrics all in all and the whole point of their work in such a simple thought and line as you did ! 😃
    And it makes me so thrilled and satisfied to finally hear it from someone! 🤩🥰 Yes, exactly : " Don`t loose yourself in clown world!" Man, such a simple thought completely summarize every musical effort they achieved ! I have to congratulate you for sharing it, thank you so much. It`s wonderfully said...😇 And the main thing is: they amuze you so much musically during the elaboration if this simple thought by handling a bunch of various topics on modern life and the crazy, mind blowing spectrum of different musical genres that it makes you speechless, but strangely - satisfied!🙂 So, when you listen to some other song, with some different genres they use, you can clearly see how this genius idea of carnivalism is being spread all over on the different phenomena of this world and carefully, but widely concluded in some point in each song. These guys are clowns, scientist and artist - all in one! 😀😄 And we love them for that, their spirit is totally and absolutely unique, you won`t find this anywhere, I`m telling ya...🙃🙂Speaking of which, did you recognize the singer? 😃😎Let me give you a clue in this verse: " You waaant it aaall, but you caaan`t haaave it...."🥴😜Yeah, man !😀The song is "Epic", and the band is: the one and only - Faith No More !😇🥰 😃Indeed man: it`s Mike Patton from FNM, "the man with the thousand voices".😎 Mr. Bungle is his other band, or to be precise - his first, highschool band that continued to work even when Mike joined FNM and was able to produce three completely wacky, but genius albums that`s been published by no other that the great Worner Brothers!😀This song is from their debut, self titled album from 1991. You can call it` their anthem`, or their `manifesto`...😎If you really liked it, I truly encourage you to take a dive of this Patton`s rabbit hole... I`m talking about Mr. Bungle for now, because Mike Patton`s personal rabbit hole is even wider and deeper, since there are so such bands where he`s involved other than (alt-metal) Faith No More and (clowny) Mr. Bungle, for example: (avantgarde metal) Fantomas, (hard rock) Tomahawk, (hip hop & trip hop) Peeping Tom...and Lovage there also!😜(evergreen, old pop, orchestral) Modno Cane... I mean, this guy is so talented and prodigal.😇But, to stay on Mr. Bungle path, I`ll throw ya a few suggestions for the new reactions, ok ?🙂😉How about...."Squeeze me, Macaroni"?🙂 A complete funk-rap-soul-metal madhouse!😀...from the same album as Carousel.🙃😉Or..."Desert Search for Techno Allah" from their next, second album?...where they mix techno-rave of the middle 90`s with the oriental music...😎Or so beautiful and mellow, but also eerie ..."The Air Conditioned Nightmare" from their last W.Brothers album in 1999, where they play with the sounds of lovely old music, surf-rock and The Beach Boys...? Or even the great finale of that album, the song called "Goodbye Sober Day" where you get such a great dizziness from all the genres involved in only 3 and the half minute that it makes you wonder is there any other impossible band on Earth similar to them... (it turns out: no...🥸😎😆) Did you know they started as a classic death-metal band in 1985 (type of Slayer) when they were kids...but evolved into something so wild and great that its hard to believe and imagine!😀You can also look on them as the first thrash metal band who throw the brass section, saxophones and trombone and flutes and so, as well as a bunch of keyboards and semplers in their sound and on the scene that it makes them so amazingly unique too.😉😊😎
    So, after all, thank you so much for reacting to them and, please, keep doing so!... Bye Bye.🙂🥳🤡😊

      I'll explain this band for you even more simply and succinct.
      Bungle is a band of Machine Elves.
      Think about it. Look at Trey, Trevor and Mike. Look at their faces. Now picture them with christmas elf hats on. Don't they look like keebler elves now? All of their lyrics are based in Gnosticism in some form. They make music the same way that the elves will show you how to transform sound into matter, and they'll juggle sound around like a ball, and then transform it into a shoe. They are that magical. They're like little Jesters, almost. That's who Bungle are, at their core. Smurfs. Little Blue Men. The Spirit of the Machine Elves and their playful nature manifest into Sound.

    One of this band's influences was English cult band Cardiacs. You think Mr Bungle is off the wall? Cardiacs songs contains elements of progressive rock, punk, psychedelia, skaa, chamber and choral music... usually at least three of these in the same track! Their track R.E.S. will give you an idea of what I mean.

    • @boyhrn
      @boyhrn Před 4 měsíci

      That's true... Cardiacs are briliant. Still, Mr. Bungle has a wider span of genres incorporated in their music and often push the limits of standard music experience. Yet, one can say Cardiacs influenced Mr. Bungle in some sort of way and some degree. 😊

      Sure.🙂 Sure it does. It's not a secret that the British ska bands influenced Mr.B's own 'madness', as well as a few American (Fishbone, for example)... But, Mr. Bungle won their own 'wacky' territory, exspecially knowing that they started from a pure thrash metal. What a radical genre twist, don't you think?... 🥴😄😎
