Interesting to look back at this, as part of the works to accommodate the S Stock, the old southbound platform seen here was taken out of use and the middle bay platform was converted into a through platform. I don't know if it's true, I've heard that due to the length of S Stock trains, the bag Platform (which was only sufficient for C Stock trains) wasn't long enough for the new trains, and there was already a turn back facility at Parsons Green for trains that required turning round short of Wimbledon, so the bay platform here was surplus to requirements
I think C stock and D stock trains were the best on the underground network. Does anyone miss the old track layout at Putney bridge. I do. It made it more interesting don't you think.
Yeah I miss all the old stock especially A Stock 😢, that was the same shit I said to refurbish them and make them a little modern, but tfl don't fucking listen they don't know what they have until it's gone pricks
The C and D Stock trains looked and sounded better before they were refurbished. I absolutely HATE the red white and blue corporate livery, if Underground trains had to be painted then they should only have been painted in the L.T Bus Red livery with white roundels and car numbers, with black roofs. Lastly they used the wrong shade of red for the modern livery, it’s too light, L.T Bus Red is the PERFECT shade of red.
I dont think ive been to putney when that platform was in use, i came here once years ago probably 2013 looking for craven cottage but couldn’t find it lol missed the interview and went home.. Reminds me of east putney with its swr branch off track
