  • HOW TO DO SCREEN PRINTING FOR BEGINNERS WITH SISER ROMEO
    It has been a long time since I have done screen printing and I realized that I had not demonstrated how to do screen printing with my Siser Romeo. Since it's Romeo Wednesday, it's the perfect time for me to demonstrate this process.
    Here is the Cricut Tutorial for this exact same process:

    Great job, as always, Delonda!
    I am starting to fall in love with screen printing. It really is the OG for decorating t-shirts. It also usually winds up feeling better than vinyl after it is cured. The next screen printing project I am doing is decorating 2 toddler shirts. I have read that it is considered to be a safer option for little kids because the speedball ink is water based and it won't peel up like vinyl could potentially peel up.

      Oh wow! I didn't even think about how much safer it would be for kids! Thanks for sharing that.

    Hi, Ms. Delonda. I finally found your newest video LOl. I have bought DTF with a company that I got from Amazon but it's been tough on which temps to work with, it's crazy how it's not what the packages sometimes state. Anyhow, it also depends on our machines. I wanted to share this with everyone as well, I tried hacks too but what worked for me was to attatch 2 of the DTF sheets with 1 small clear piece of tape at bottom and it worked with some regular printing paper behind it. I am so Excited! because the hack I used was so different than other but it worked so if anyone needs info. do it this way maybe it will help you and less work. Thank God! 🙂
    So, Excited to see your new video.
    Sincerely Ms. Thompson

    I really enjoy screen printing. I make my auto body paint shop shirts using screen printing. One way to help with adhering the vinyl that I do is place a book or wood piece the same thickness of the frame so when I burnish it the screen cannot dip up and down from pressure. It helps me. I also use my swing away heat press to hover and dry the print. I also have made a few ‘permanent’ screens by using HTV and pressing it to the screen then I can reuse it several times and remove it from the frame to change out to another design. That is real cool too. Loved the video❤

    I usually lay the screen down on top of the vinyl once i have the transfer tape off. Take my hand, rub it really well. Also, turn the screen over and make sure that the vinyl is down really well. Then tape it down just like you did.

    How long does it take for the ink to dry before pressing?

    • @CraftingwithDelonda
      @CraftingwithDelonda  Před 19 dny

      I had each shirt under the heat press for approximately 10-15 minutes; but you could bypass that by using a heat gun.

  • @annperz4132
    @annperz4132 Před 20 dny

    I have been using it because it does seem to last longer than the vinyl. I was finding that i was wearing the vinyl shirts so much that the vinyl was comming off. And screen printing seems to last a lot longer.

    I am still having problems with silhouette Studios just closing out on me in the middle of a project has anyone had this problem it closes out and leaves a black rectangle on my screen and I have to close it out and restart my laptop

    • @CraftingwithDelonda
      @CraftingwithDelonda  Před 18 dny

      It might be taking up too much storage on your computer. Try closing everything else out while you are using it.

    • @CraftingwithDelonda

      Yes, but I would only do that if I knew I was going to be using it a lot. I would even suggest purchasing more screens.

  • @zeldabrown1632

    Baseball or softball
    I'd use it to make support t,s for the moms n dads of the team's
    I'd use it for graduation t,s....the list goes on...lol
    On graduation day I've seen so many tshirts....but they all seem like a copy n paste?situation....so?yeah I'd use screen printing
