Just not mapped to use 100% of the fuel, loosing un burnt fuel out the back. A proper fuelling system plus a decent map will sort it.
scotty87us actually from what I’ve read diesels produce the most power at what they call the ‘smoke limit’. So when they’re smoking like mad they’re at their most efficient in terms of power output. You’ve only to look at tractor pulling videos to see how much those things smoke yet produce insane power.

@@Audi8pOfSouthAfrica 2.0 tdi can easily pushed to 200hp with just a software remap, the 1.9tdi needs injector and turbo upgrade as well to do that, the 2.0 tdi thx to the common rail it is smoother running. THe pd 2.0 is not very reliable tough.

Actually very low. Carson emissions are directly related to miles per gallon, if this thing is getting 60mpg that means 3 x lower carbon emission then a s5 getting 20mpg

@Méliodas DK it's not at all about engine size though. It's all about how the car feels and engages you. Having a light, manual car with a non-linear power delivery and less grip FEELS fast and feels more fun. In my opinion of course.

@@Sebastian-gj9tc unmodified car yes. But petrol car isn't harmful either, catalytic converters and DPFs are so good at cleaning gasses that the difference between petrol and diesel is pretty much same.
But if I removed these converters from the car, no matter what it runs, it will be harmful, no matter what. Of course it will be harmful in a long run.

Well we still produce way more CO2 (and other greenhouse gasses) than the Earth can safely handle. That's why there is the highest CO2 concentration in the atmosphere since 800,000 years ago. This car though is not even a 0,00001% of the emissions.

Hello from Portugal!! In my country this projects are very common, lots of 1.9 tdi's doing more than 300 BHP. Normally they get a lot of hate because of smoke, but these engines are amazing in what comes to power and reliability. Very nice video btw!

I had a P.D 130 with a VNT 21 intercooler str8 thru and a map and that shifted like a smackhead with a giro so this beast must be another level

I have a gt tdi pd150 super chipped, trust me its a quick little car. The boost is crazy and it handles perfect. Still a project thats unfinished and seeing this vid has give me even more enthusiasm to do more to it.

The smoke is not as poluted as we think the only time when a diesel polute more is furing the regeneration of the fap but in this case he dont have a fap so its in par with gazoline but smoky

I got mine in the end, did a few adjustments and upgrades then took it to a race track. Great as a road car but the back end comes round ridiculously easy if you just go a fraction too fast into a corner. Got a few things to try to settle it down a bit but will probably be the reason I eventually move onto something else. I certainly won't be going for more power until I get it to handle how I want, 200bhp especially in the wet is plenty.

I'm just getting into my '06 TDI and I've barely gotten through suspension upgrades and I've already spent $1000 😅 I plan on going with Malone Tuning for a Stage 2 tune and remap just so I can stay road legal in my state as I know a guy who can make me pass state inspection as long as it's not rolling coal in the shop... not nearly this guys set up but still SO much fun. I beat a Civic Si of the same year bone stock vs bone stock and I can't wait to upgrade the motor and start really SMOKING people if you catch my drift lol.

Love it, my 2.0 tdi mk6 golf with 202 hp soon to be more can get 80+ mpg and I've had 146mph out of it. Best car I've owned!

@@SuperDaaaaaan My friend's Scirocco 2.0 TDI 140 is currently being worked on. It was running at around 200 PS just like yours with a remap, exhaust and a few other bits.
It is estimated it will be making around 280-300 PS after the upgrades, but it is definitely a lot of money. They're pretty nice though.

So much potential with the MK4 Golf. My brother in law has a MK4 GTI 1.8t, he's only done the exhaust and turned the boost up on the stock turbo and the thing absolutely rips on the motorway. Like my back was hurting after my last ride in it from the g forces
