    Do you think you might ever try some other types of fish 🐟? Maybe catfish or some other types of tasty 😋 fish 🐟? I love some tilapia but with out easy access to geothermal energy not going to happen where I live, they have cooking oil builtin, the best freshwater alternative for Cod when making fish & Chip's.

      I would need to grow something that can handle near-freezing temps during the winter. The Koi are easy to grow. When I set up the second tank, I might try catfish or trout.

      I think the flavour of the catfish are the most affected or adjustable by there environment compared to other fish.

    How do we need to decide how many nozzles we need for our tanks based on our desired gph/gpm of water flow?

      Excellent question! There's a chart in the kickstarter campaign that shows the flow for each nozzle. Roughly, if you pump 12.3 liters (3.2 gal) per minute through each nozzle. You'll need about 170mbar (2.5 psi) of pressure at the nozzle for that flow which is fairly easy with most pumps. This system is using a Jebao DCT-12000 to run my entire setup at half power so that's about 60 watts.

    I'm not clear on why these are better than other venturi's already on the market, it kinda seems like your reinventing the wheel.

      It's pretty plain and simple more efficient and smaller than other Venturis on the market. Rob designs cool stuff and gets mathematical to back it up!

      The internal area is set up differently than a standard venturi so it injects twice as much air. It's not reinventing the wheel....just making it spin faster. ;)

    Would there be any down side to running the manifold vertically in the fish tank?

      Probably not. Perhaps it would help to break up some up the bubbles as they start to come back up! Looks like it might make for a good experiment.

      My reason for inquiring is that for a bottom center fish drain it would be more efficient to shoot the water along the perimeter circumference to encourage the fish solids to migrate to the drain dot-dot-dot

      @@donfredricks8965 ah. I thought you meant pointing them down. I think you mean having a vertical manifold but the nozzles still coming out horizontally? I believe the issue with this is that the pressure increases the deeper in the water it is placed. The deeper you place the nozzle the less air it will produce. You potentially could have a nozzle working well near the surface and then the bottom nozzle(s) not producing any air. You probably would need to really crank up the water pressure for them to work!
