Rhaenys persuade Corlys to pledge himself to Rhaenyra. when she volunteer herself to her then smiles at her, I AM SO HAPPY!!! Rhaenys is truly the Queen who never was. she chose Rhaenyra because she saw Rhaenyra only want stability for the realm as much as she does. those 2 are my queens!
She gets killed by Aemond and Aegon but her grandaughter Baela becomes Lady of Driftmark
@@Treize132 yes but doesn’t baela seriously injured aegon though I could be wrong. Plus hardly a fair fight with both aegon and aemond against her if only she had another dragon rider with her she would’ve stood a chance.
She's going to be even more of a legend at the end of Season 2. Aemond and Aegon II vs Rhaenys for the Battle at Rook's Rest.

She never bends to anyone royal fierce and trustworthy 'The Queen Who never was' she's badass woman, one worth respecting.
eve best's background in theater really lends itself so well to this role. she has such a commanding presence.
I love this actor! Eve doesn’t have a lot of screentime but she commands a presence and says so much when she has no lines. Casting is chefs kiss. I love her loyalty to her husband. It’s nice to know and see they married for love and not politics.
They have equal respect to each other and their bond has strengthened both of them for decades, there may be a power struggle, but they managed to go through past that and secured their relationship/marriage.
@@MarchAngeloPAlino agree. The actors who play them understand there is a lot of respect and love. With it being based on medieval times, Rhaenys is devoted to her husband (telling Alicent that the words of their house is not fickle) and is not a weak character when she’s alone. She may be my favorite character now that I think about it more…

I love this video! I've watched at least 10 times already (and will likely watch or listen to it a dozen or two more times). Good job, @CaroFreeSpirit. The video and who it represents has so many underlying messages and as foreshadowing what is to come in the new season. I haven't gotten the opportunity to see the whole season, but Rhaenys seems like my favorite character (Hats off to Eve Best for her protrayal Rhaenys Targaryen-Velaryon). She is has such a powerful demeanor and has always been true to her values, especially when it comes to family.

I do have a suggestion if you make another or update. The scene between 2:20 and 2:40. It is when Rhaenyra gets crowned and Rhaenys is standing watching her, then the music plays with the lyrics, 'I'm still standing here'! That would have been a nice transition to see Rhaenys standing there. If that makes sense?

May i know, where is corlys velaryon?
Two episodes ago it was said that he got severely injured fighting in the stepstones over the 6 yrs time jump (he got injured at the end of the time jump, it wasn’t shown just said what happened in episode 8) and got blood fever and was on the bridge between surviving and dying & no one knew if he was going to survive or not. He is going to be in episode 10, the finale, also it will show Rhaenys and Corelys reuniting after the events of them losing both of their children in episode 7 and he going back to fighting to regain control of the stepstones from the triarchy.

That is also the reason why Vaemond was going in front of Otto and Alicent to contest who would inherit the Driftmark throne if he was to pass away. And that is why Rhaenyra and Daemon returned to Kings Landing for them to make sure that her son would still inherit Driftmark and she the Iron Throne. And this is when she finds out what has become of her father and pleads to her father, the king at the time, to remind everyone that Rhaenyra is the rightful heir to the throne and her sons legitimate.
