Nothing like waking up in the middle of the night with excruciating pain from roasted eyelids and retina burn.
IF you've ever done it.......you won t do it again!
@@longrifle. amen. Just being in the same room with reflecting walls.
Thought I was going to be permanently blind.
I decided that if I ever wanted to feel like that, I'd just have someone pour hot sand in my eyes.

Can't beat high quality produced I-beam !!!!

You guys are acting like this is their first I beam they ever made and they don't do it day in day out.
Oh forgot, I love the pocket square welding shield!
No ppe, no problem. One of the harshest lessons I learned was closing my eyes or looking away when I was helping someone weld. Couldn’t open my eyes for a week. Was Tig welding and it went right through my eye lids. Even though he’s tack welding that will add up over the years. Not to mention skin cancer. But it’s his life. No OSHA there.
Meh, they're both 21, have at least another 10 good years in them. But outside the western world, this is standard welding methods.
I was in 1992, had worked at the MULCINDO Steel Structure company as an operator making WIDE FLANGE and HBeam with a welding system. not long after that I worked as a Welder with Grade 6 SMAW Classification. and now I'm still working in the Steel Structure field for the construction of WORKSHOP buildings in various companies.
Love all the safety equipment
all ya !
😄
Quite frankly, to put "safety" into perspective in this case ...when there are other "people", "workers" around, yes, all the more important. But in this case, it appears there are two and only two people in this plant and they are working together, communicating together ....watching each other ...and appear to know each other and have a very knowledgeable working relationship. They know each other and what they're doing as a team.
The term "mom & pop shop" is not that uncommon in North America ....but it certainly does NOT mean/suggest or intend to be anything like this!!! Just imagine how much faster the bending could have been done with TWO tiger torches.
I wonder if the "beam" is ever "tested" or "certified" to anything? We didn't see any finish welding.
Considering what these two are doing, as "hokey" as it may appear, ...they are doing a very impressive job.
.
Dangerous amateurs, ah well it's their eyes~
Where can I purchase one of them invisible welding helmets?
He blocks the arc location from view just before striking it.
☝️From AliExpress 🤣😂🤣🤣😂

Husband and wife team....love her safety boots..
Each time I watch a Chinese manufacturing video, I am astounded with the lack of safety equipment and the clothing worn by the 'skilled and experienced' worker. Standing there looking at the arc is asking to go blind very quickly.
Using the squint your eyes filtering technology.
Pretty sure his not looking at the arc, his using his hand to cover the arc. I would like to see how that "no look" weld bead looks like though.
This is the type of work safety procedures that produce "cheap" steel dumped on us markets
Couldn't agree more, most of the steel that arrives at my job for fabrication comes from Asia
@@_high_plains_drifter_5079 btw, most Asia reject steel from china. Not even pass min req for pmi and dt

Love their welding hoods
...and their protective leather aprons and gauntlets.
Invisible ones..!
Advanced technology..!
No need for hoods to perform quick TACKS that will more than likely be removed before or during the welding.
Fun video, I'm left with more questions than answers though
I'm almost 100 percent sure that try square is no long square.
love it.
not everyone can weld by Braille
Incredible skill. No eyes needed.
I know you're trying to be funny, but actually, anyone can TACK by BRAILLE as is the case here. What you're seeing is the REAL WORLD. This practice is done all over the world ....exactly like this. It's a TACK. If the end result is wrong, it gets fixed/corrected before getting welded.
Don’t think I’d like a trailer made by this company

Nice work boots lady! LOL!
I was an industrial pipefitter. I dont think I'd get away with red workbooks let alone red slippers. Hahahahaha
Overall, this is a highly informative and enjoyable video for anyone interested in engineering. It showcases your talent and expertise while providing valuable insights and inspiration to fellow enthusiasts. Keep up the great work, and I look forward to watching more of your content in the future 👍👍👍
Don't look at the light, can't help it, it is so beautiful.

Good Work
Sweet safety slippers 🤪
Where to begin?... Holy! Anyone else smell cooking retinas? Zero fox for safety at all!
No safety shoes , helmets gloves , all a must for these jobs, now I know why structures collapse in China
It is all part of the plan to reduce overpopulation.

Very nice work
This stuff is junk let alone how unsafe the process is.

Ah, so thats how all the " Product Recall " trailers are manufactured.
Yeah! that's the go, have your workers in a steel fabrication shop where slippers. Unbelievable.
I looked and then again slippers 😬
Slave labor
The guy looks like he has done so many of this....he is skilled. He does not use a welding hood for tacking. He knows his stuff!
A M yea or the company could could less about there employees and let’s them have a free for all.
AGREED 100%. He knows what needs to be done ....and does it quickly and safely.
There are only two people in this shop and they are working as a team. They both know what each other is doing.
It would appear the majority of people looking at this video have no idea what they are looking at.

These people do great work! Is he Superman or just crazy welding and heating with no shield ? My eyes would be roasted....
He closes them and blocks the light with his hand, not good welding or safety.
Such a big factory for 3 workers
the rest of the workers are at the eye clinic getting their cataracts removed
Looks about 50-60'
It's amazing how the welding arc is so close to the real thing. I think it is sad that both workers don't have a welding hood.
Yes, very "HI TECH".............NOT! :((((((((((( Love the hi precision bending!
do you just love the foot wear ?
Safety slippers ?
incredible !
Top top top
The last 2 survive?
Wow!! Quality workmanship at its worst. Strike an arc wherever. No need to look at where the arc strikes. Throwing around the square and smack the flange with a hammer after a shitty tack weld. And that’s the main frame, only the most important part.
But hey it's cheap right? ,,,, and that's all that matters. I'm a DIY welder and I'm appalled at that level of shoddy workmanship.
I think they are husband and wife. True love!
prioritizing work safety
Maybe......but not HIGH priority...

Just like a rafter beam, it will get welded with a sub arc. No need to X ray the welds and stiffeners will be put in the web for added strength
Lets hope you're right on that, these tacks welded blind are not a reassuring sign.
@@phillhuddleston9445 ....a "reassuring sign" of what? You think you saw a "finished product? Calles has merely pointed out that welding will likely take place later. He doesn't know that it will be the SMARC process, nor does he know if "stiffeners" will be added ......he is merely pointing out there will very likely be additional steps taking place from what we saw in this video.
The fact that the beam is being tacked up as a whole unit suggest they will actually weld both sides using a dual mig gun set up on a track. If they were sub arc the beams they would only tack @ the neck
WOW
They take pride in safety. No glass or welding shield.
hay quá
Mom and Pop making trailers in their own mega factory- this is what is wrong with UK and US manufacturing: we cannot get loans to start businesses.
100 % Agree. Then you have all the regulation, yes we need safe work environment but the regulations here go way too far, insurance costs and the threat of law suits would keep most work environments safe on their own. Workers in the US and most of Europe would not tolerate the working conditions in China.
@@phillhuddleston9445 I wouldn't hire 50% of the men I worked among.

I like their steel toe slippers
Hey 👋, you leave Auntie Wong alone about her colour matched slippers, she doesn’t need any steel toe caps as her feet are artificial after an unfortunate accident she had a while back. One of the I beams slipped and took her tootsies off, no tootsies = no tootsie caps needed, simples
🤣😂😉

guys got freakin slippers on!!!!!
Very simple
have you seen those guys on youtube at pakistani truck? they both have the same health and safety manager
He sets everything square. Good. Wait till he starts to weld and watch it pull. Never did see the welding. SMAW, GMAW, SAW ?
Anyone trust that square that he is throwing around?
Maybe he sets it just over 90 degrees so when the weld freezes and pulls, it pulls it square. Maybe he is that good.... Maybe. I think the hammer is there to jazz it up a bit for the completely clueless people who like other people who hit things and get results. The only question left is whether or not someone is gonna call that number and get some cheeeep trailers from the Glorious Peoples Republic of Chinese Trailers: From each according to their ability, to each according to their need... to pay!
Her shoes are so fashioned, where did you buy those slippers with steel point?
Bad camera's they had back in 2019.
Bolski - Uitlaatstore that’s the local industry not so clean air Bill, hats off to the people that work in the industry area’s of China, I understand why so many wear masks even before the COVID-19 scare, how about some more videos Cindy? Please?
Health & Safety have left the building !!
... they already got their "Cut", an extra allotment of Noodles, and a Chicken 🤣 ..they only
Left the country along with quality workmanship. .
They must be some high quality welds.
How do you know? We didn't see any welding.
And this is why "structural steel beams" and columns from China are not allowed for structural use in the UK or the EU!
Don't be a DINGLEBAT. Chinese and Indian steel is allowed for structural use ALL OVER THE WORLD. There are TESTS done and certifications obtained from any country that can produce and meet engineered specifications.
It's called SUPPLY CHAIN ....and one reason why North American and European steel manufacturing is now a shadow of what it was, nothing more than a few decades ago. The Americans and Europeans can't compete with either China or India when it comes to structural steel and plate. Either country can put steel on American soil far cheaper than the the American's can make it, thanks to the high costs in the U.S. and Europe.
Your comment is so typical of the many posters who put very IGNORANT and UNQUALIFIED statements into this CZcams forum. And sadly, those who don't know any better, just like yourself ....will actually believe your CRAP.
The only area the U.S. and Europe can hand on to for steel is "specialty steels" ....but that is only a matter of time.
Educate yourself DINGLEBAT!!

You can tell this is in some Asian country with no safety regulations. Dude in the pink is wearing pink bedroom slippers. I don't think wolverine has come out with those in steel toe yet at least in America we haven't gotten them yet but when they do I am getting me a pair
Everyone's an expert on here, its just a trailer frame relax i like the mum and pop team and there are days where i wish i could wear sandles, also he is only tacking it, not welding it yet, and his hand is shielding the arc if you look closely
Meanwhile Ford Rolled out Thirteen Complete F-150 Supercrews, with time left. They make a Hydra Formed Frame in two minutes, almost totally done with robots.
