    You could have suggested the Aero Geo, so you could get the summon and the oil if you want later. But you could pick up the archer and the hydro healer in the first town so your advice was so since you could ignore some of that and suggest a better over all starting guide based on what you can get at level 2. And then add the fact that you could have other stuff to a degree. And then use arrows or other stuff to catch the oil and things on fire, or make pyro a secondary character's ability to have one fire spell to allow for oil ignite easier. But even for slowing effect oil is useful if you go that way for it, without catching it on fire.

    Perhaps a better mage start: go wizard for fire staff, pick spider, oil and Boulder bash, light it up with the staff, lone wolf and know-it-all, 10points in speed, on lvl 2 1extra point on spd rest In intellect etc.., and in town buy all Int gear and trye to get at least 8dex also from gear, for fast track, shadow, adrenaline, I just started playing this build and damn its so strong and fun cuz of all the action points

    funny that you recommend staff at the end of your video, but both your examples are using wands? that being said, thanks for putting these char. build recommendations together

    Hi there.
    After watching all your build videos, I'd like to ask your opinion on character selection for two people coop game.
    One will definitely be a Mage, probably Aero/Hydro. Now the question is, considering the 4 followers we can get later, what's a good companion for a mage? Control Fighter, Wand Witch, Ranger?
    Are shields completely useless? (was thinking of playing kind of Cleric/warrior type before watching your guides).

    • @Dogmatih
      @Dogmatih  Před 8 lety +1

      I would say Wand Witch. Shields are not useless, but not needed, so long as you have some kind of somewhat tanky melee person.

    Isn't it worth 1 point in dual weilding for the AP reduction bonus? Don't you get to cast more often if you have more AP?

      @notthatsmooth7264 Před 2 lety

      nah its just the reduction for the attackspell that comes with the two handed wand
      normaly u dont use the attackspell ^^ cause the other u get from ur Skills are mostly better

    super great guide, I'm playing the game for the first time, should I do this Build or maybe one with a Rogue(me first character to be Rogue)? I heard that Rogue with double dagger it's the best choice, because he's overpower

      If you are playing Enhanced Edition, I would recommend not doing a rogue if it's your first playthough. I would recommend a 2-hand fighter if you want that style. Rogues were crazy overpowered in the classic, but got hugely nerfed for Enhanced Edition.

    Just got the game and trying to decide what class to make. Since you can pretty extensivly customize, how would a 2h sword mage with thunderjump/touch spells fair? Kind of like battlemage but with less constitution/no shield and more speed.

      I don't think you'd last long in combat :D

    • @pheliont
      @pheliont Před 6 lety

      Actually it works well. Since you are putting points into STR for a 2h weapon, you should be using the heavier armor for armor rating, so damage taken isn't such an issue.Use thunder jump to close a gap rather than for damage. For instance, I use 2 mages, and teleport 2 enemies towards a 3rd enemy, use thunder jump as the 2h weapon, then battering ram to knock em down/deal damage. Next turn use whirlwind, etc.

    Hey
    What stats and abilities do you recommend I get/focus on with my geo/pyro mage?

    • @Dogmatih
      @Dogmatih  Před 7 lety +2

      Any kind of damage caster, your main focus should be on INT and Speed. Perception would be the third priority.

    this game really confuses me. the dev's want it to be a classless rpg but you have all these starting classes. why not just let us build a character instead of even showing these premade classes?

    • @zerob3615
      @zerob3615 Před 7 lety +2

      maziku Guidline for beginners so they dont have to watch hours of how to build your character

      Because they get different starting weapons, and because it 's more fun! (oh... and they look slightly different, too) ;)

    The version on steam as of 2020 doesn't allow you to setup attribute points or spells during a custom build.
