Aim VS Game Sense - What is Better To Have In R6? - Hry
I think that experienced players should naturally move to support as they gain experience and let their newer teammates play frag. Whenever I play, I always default to support/flex because the skill floor for those roles is so much higher than frag. It makes it so everyone can contribute to the round progression and players feel accomplished.
Typically I play Flex and support because either everyone wants to be the fragger, and if that happens you have help them plan and facilitate the winning of a round. You see thos less as you go up in rank and people understand the roles and how to play them as needed.
Yikes smells better than you
Experienced players can play all 3 roles. If your in a team the thing you should be learning is if your on one role like entry or roamer and it's not working for you then say to your teammates you want to switch role. If your teams experienced then it's easy. You go smoke and let someone else take jager for example.
It depends on the experience of the newer teammates and the type of support you need. For example if they don't play FPS games often it'll be hard for them to play the role of frag without getting demotivated by their constant deaths. As a hard breach support however you can always show them how impactful them opening the site wall was by swiftly taking it or how key a rotate they made on defense turned out to be. Overall I think you shouldn't necessarily naturally move to support but rather just try and get a grasp of the skill level of your teammates and adjust accordingly. It's a lot easier to instruct your teammate to stay alive by following behind you and then open up a wall pressing a button. That's admittedly hard to coordinate in solo queue, but what isn't? There you just have to try and mend the gaps of your teammates.
I agree. There is nothing stronger than a fragger who is actually smart and knows how to play more than just Ash.
After about 1-1.5 year hiatus, I have returned & I have decided on Sledge. As an experienced player, I have a reliable gun, can do vert stuff if I want & the flexibility to move about the map as I see fit all while learning the new map changes that have occurred since I've been gone.
Honestly when I came back after a year break I’d say that smoke is good to get back recoil control I was able to get for the most part control of every gun and doc for aiming bc of his mp5 simple kit and easy recoil making it a prime aiming weapon on attack I’ve been using ash for the r4c and it’s really solid and the other op I’ve been using is thermite for also sim control and getting used to being an important role making being safe more important and learning how valuable to the team you are
@@M1istaken Can't argue against Smoke. He's very rewarding when you execute but can punish you if your gun skill & positioning isn't right. I would say the 3 ops I tend to use on offense are Sledge, Hibana & Buck. I like Buck for his verticality & having hard breaches since sometimes my teammates are unreliable lol. But yea, I've been learning Smoke for rotations & getting used to that SMG11.
This, exactly this.
I did my time as Therm and Ace. I did my time as Finka. As Echo and Maestro.
Now I'm gonna chill and do my super fast "fuck you I win" rotates and verticals around Kafe and Outback.
Very good choice, been mailing sledge for about a year now, he is so versatile and can be played on every map. One of the best ops
Damn rip sledge acog
Thank you for these types of videos. I played siege for like 4 years straight and got off for a few years. I’m unaware to most of the new metas so your videos help a lot. Thank you
You can usually tell how well your team is going to do based on who they pick. If I see someone picking Montagne and nobody else selects a hard breacher, I know it's going to be a frustrating match up.
Yeeep
I mean using Monty as a entry is pretty hilarious I'm casual
Thank you so much; your videos are so helpful
Solo queue is annoying. I pick a hard breach then im forced to entry frag and get the ball rolling because my team does nothing other than wasting time holding angles that nobody is going to peak
Fax lol, try maverick sometimes bro and learn to mav trick, learn how to perfectly throw a nade to open your own wall because these mfs WONT help
@@billbakopoulos1641 you mean learn how to safely maverick trick.
Maverick tricking without a team mate to watch your holes often leads to crack heads peaking the line you cut
Same except for the fact i'm that teammate
Your Awesome Astralis I had a great time improving with your videos. Thank you sir!
Astralis is a comp team 🙌🏽
@@andreecelis2093 that’s good to know. Who is on the team?
@@smittysmit1656 j90, Dpfire, iconic, Shuttle & Forrest but they are not that good.
@@andreecelis2093
This aged like milk.
@@Lodestar12345 yes it did hahaha when the meta changed some teams went down and some others adapted better, Good for Astralis. (Not hate)
Defense i play always anchor no roam. Currently loving Azami as it gives me creative liberty and she is an anchor character
I like thunderbird because I can help my team anchor while also roaming with her ar
Stoped playing siege for almost 2 years, now I decided to come back. For attack i love to play support and open the walls. But for defense i don't have a nice pick yet , been playing some Kayd.
My go to on defense are lesion or thunderbird, doc is always a tank that’s good too lol with godly guns.
@@johnnynapalm2887 Kapkan outshines lesion as a trap defender and it can give u more knowledge too!
@@slickpretender4448 I mean possibly, but its pretty subjective. Depends on your setup and game sense/map knowledge too.
Im new to r6 and your videos helped me a lot
man you’re videos are great for helping people learn the game
Thanks for all the great content
I have my own theory about how to start Siege. I have some IRL friends that want to play with me but I already had years of experience and they never played any FPS, in theory I had to be the one Who uses thermite (but TBH I’m not a good a good support) so I let them play it because they have to know how attack works and while their aim and gamesense improves they move to different ops. Btw I don’t wanna tell this is the way to go, it’s just what We did and that was hard to learn but now we enjoy our time playing siege
Damn alarming good luck in the future, it was great watching your vids on Astralis, much love man
This is my favorite r6 yt channel
love how the thumbnail show finka as entry and even if you goes deep in kill 2 or maybe 3 players than die, the whole team complains that the first dead is finka
I’m a new player who’s only been playing every now and then for a couple weeks but so far I’ve felt safest using fuse as attacker and frost and defender, I mainly only use frost for her gun since I’m not the best at recoil control yet but I’ve actually been finding some success with her traps surprisingly enough. I tend to set them at the top of staircases or bottom of window frames to stop flanks and and it seems to work pretty good most the time but I am thinking of swapping to a more useful defender once I get better game sense since I would consider her a noob friendly operator just because of her simple yet effective kit that isn’t hard to learn. Thanks for the video anyway man because I’m definitely in need of advice when it comes to r6.
My number one tip would be to just have fun. If you take the game too seriously it can hinder your performance, also watch good youtubers to learn from them. My suggestions for youtubers are, varsitygaming, shaiko, and buelo (not sure if that's right). But if you want to watch funny youtubers go to bikinibodhi and meaty marley.
I usually hep my team breach in using sledge then I go up onto the roof flank the enemy and while they are in a fire fight with my teammates I rappel down smash the window out and fill them with lead
Thx for beening in this community
Im flexible it just depends on how I feel like playing
Yay new upload
I think i’m a support but idk, i play a variety of different ops so i’m really flexible and most of the time pick characters to help my team, my most played ops as of recently are like Fuze, Castle, Iana, Bandit, Sledge, Smoke, Thermite, Warden, Twitch, Lesion, and way more, i like playing many characters since my skill is weird since sometimes i play amazingly and top score easily and sometimes I don’t and only bring the utility for my team, i guess that makes me a flex, but generalizing to Support.
I personally play ace very aggresive on ranked and both cas. I usally push into site in a smart direction plant and usally get 3 to 4 kills per round.
I hate Ace mains, but I also don't like playing defender lol. I'm like "but I wanna be Sam!!!!"
defense i play support attack im support or flexible if im trying to win ill go rook, jager, mute ,mira , aruni, any other op we need nomad is my best op on attack , ace , thatcher ,florez, sofia im also not bad with iq or gridlock
WE LOVE U !!!!
I always love watching the videos he does but I forget his name. Where can I find his channel?
Im somewhat forced to play support on solo q people dont reinforce anything amd just run around the map and when in 5 stack with my gold> friends Id rather set up site alone but i like it. I like having control over site setup. On attack I play ace the most recently and def mute. Sometimes I play different stuff but Id say 70% of the time I play support
ace and maverick in the category of support? Monty is support or im confused??
I come from escape from tarkov. So tell me what should i be doing
I love your guys
Peace out. It’s been pleasure
hey astralis can you guys make a update of this video pls
9:26 legendary bp placement
Im still confused on what should i main since i suck on gun fights especially on attacking
In defending i mainly use Kapkan and frost because i love their trap so much since im so bad at shooting
Thorn is also a good trap op, her gadget is basically a prox alarm that kills if the attacker doesn’t leave, and her gun is extremely good
If you are have fast reaction time buy maestro and wallbang enemies with his evil eyes
Isn't Finka support? I'm just wondering since you didn't mention her
1:36
"...MaEstro..."
what charm is that
It feels like I am bad bc I play rook bc it’s a pathfinder but I play best with it.
I don't think useless is the right definition to a player throwing rounds. I'm thinking valuable, or value even if they're being useless.
Breach boys
a iana and mute main here
Depends of what Perfect is...
Damn nomo vids from you
So are you still going to upload on your own Channel and you’re just finished with Astralis or are you finished with CZcams altogether?
I'm finshed with Siege, I'll be making another channel and you can find more info on about that on my channel within the coming days
@@AlarmingPlayz what happened bro? Had too much?
Oh 😭
U were my favourite
You still going to post on your main ?
So does that mean that I’m playing my characters wrong? Because I tend to anchor with characters such as Mozzy, Valkyrie, Vigil, Castle, Jager and Bandit.
It means youre not using them to their full potential, their speed and utility are way better suited for roaming or shallow roaming
Anchor with castle
Roam with mozzie, valkyrie and bandit
Valkyrie is the best roamer in my opinion, because the anchors can use your cams and guide you to the early entries. I throw her cams near the sites and roam on a different floor 1st 2nd Basement, etc
Can you do a video on crosshairs please I'm having so much trouble actually choosing one my eyes keep focusing on everything but the crosshair.
take adderall
Umm my tip is using a crosshair with either green, or pink. It makes it easier to look at but isn’t gonna be too annoying to look at. I also recommend around a 60% for the opacity. Realistically, you don’t want to be looking at your reticle, you want to be looking past it. When you see someone enter your view, you should be looking at them and your muscle memory will pull your arm right to them (if you have a good sensitivity you’re comfortable with). If you were looking at your reticle, you would not notice half the stuff going on
I agree with you but im still bad
i really love playing Jeager cuz of his gun. but i'm more of a support player than a fragger. i played alot of FPS games but my skill is quite bad.
i think helping my teammates and defending the site is easier for me than roaming around the map killing everyone.
That voicecrack 🤣
i just play blitz or pluse with shotgun
New players should play support and anchors. They will learn the flow of a round better. Altho in solo que I have seen alot of walls open with ace then half the team stands outside for 2 and a half mins waiting for a kill. But good video it came up in my recommended and picking a role is a good start for new players.
When you main a flex and did not now
What would Valkyrie be
Can someone be 2 roles. Like I am a support on attack but more of a fragger on defence. Or should I focus on one?
We’ll do u have better aim or brain
@@blxsun-5408 probably brain. I'm the best in our stack when it comes to callouts and intel and stuff like that
@@benschmidt1038 yh I would say ur role is support
Yes, you're playing hard flex.
Want about rook he's a saport but once he places armor he doesn't really need to live for his ability to work
Comment for algorithm
Doc main all the way! ⚕
doc mains scare me when i have to go against them
@@gestalt.7135 Good.
Ummmm i main thermite and I am main frag getting map and most kills
What roles would Glaz and Kapkan fall under?
They're both flex operators
looking for players in eu servers i havent got a rank as i just got this game on my computer like 5 days ago and am only level 18 but i aint that bad i would say maybe silver rank
Amazing comunittttyyyyyyyyyyyyy ?????? (Soulja boy voice😂)
I'm a monty fragger
I know you have a very soft voice, but do you mind turning the mic up a little bit? Listening to this video on a bose sound system in my car but between your soft voice and your mic being turned down, it's hard as fuck to hear you. Got the radio cranked all the way up to hear you, and then when it switches to a commercial break I go deaf...
Oh nevermind. If this is your last video I guess we don't have to worry about you mumbling into the microphone anymore...
Completely ironic comment at 4:22
Bump
I'm the spectator
Nah bro merc on ash Beau on finka still entry frag
I clicked so quick
Ok
u could put all them together
@@ItsModxrn u mean the roles?
no i was talking bout the comments u posted
Beaulo is a flex player not a Fragger
I play hard breach because I suck
nah hard breach is quite important you don't suck if you use hard breach and you can be really good with it if played correctly
@@redtord7194 I think they’re just referring to aim/game sense
@@chvIry yea but he still doesn't have to give up even if he thinks he sucks he can always improve
I play frost because I suck
So I guess I’m a support player
People i play with don't believe in flanking
oh man i just know you now! sad that you quiting, can you at least tell us why you would do that.
Ubisoft take away microtransactions and go back to earned rewards.
U too leaving siege?
Tbh just play the game eventually you will find your perfect role
Nooooo he’s leaving
bro turn up ur fov
That’s cool…. *auto locks ash*
Lol
Breach/Support mains contact me
There should be a role where you could be a Arab and have a rocket launcher and a killer drone and ask-47 and a revolver
So… nomad with Flores’ gadget? Haha
so this channel will do dead?
This video was just... lacking...
HOW. do I find my perfect role?
You didn't go into each operator and place them into their roles.
You didn't even explain what the roles actually do beyond fraggers.
We've got Intel gatherers, area deniers, Off-site anchors, Site Retakers | Rushers, site takers/pushers, intel gatherers again, area deniers again, and gadget destroyers.
There's no discussion on playstyle itself. You alluded to one, by bringing up other games, but dropped the ball.
Are you slow? Are you more methodical? Can you think on a dime? Do you like to play erratically? Things of that nature.
Here's an example of what I mean: my three best operators are by far Valkyrie, Blitz, and Friggin' Recruit.
my two FAVORITE operators are Finka and Castle. And I suck as both!
An Intel gatherer on Defense, and a Rusher on Attack.
No matter how much I like those operators I need to face the facts.
which means I should play and get comfortable with other operators that are Intel gatherers and rushers.
THAT'S figuring out your playstyle. Playing to your strengths.
This video glossed over all of that, and I found it all, very verbose and useless.
i’m posting a video soon about this and addressing this as well, stay tuned i gotchu
People came from apex to r6? I thought r6 was older
It is but you know new people are buying the game and get into it it's not a closed community
I'm so sorry but you lost me after naming the 3 Roles which I've never heard being called in R6 Siege
Thats sad on your part
Yeah lol you should really know these roles
@@MoN-cg6dc I play the game but I thought the roles were breacher, carry, and tactical. I've never once seen a comp game, I played during beta but then stopped for years and only came back cuz a co worker convinced me. So I'm following this channel to try to get better, but I keep seeing a trend in R6 Siege CZcamsrs...nobody trains noobs...
@@visefis2622 read my response, I'm a vet who's new again
You must be older then.
The perfect role is to not play at all, this game has gone down the drain. It's just a waste of time to play anymore.
it’s not the same as old siege, I still find it fun and will still play casual or unranked (nothing too serious) just a shame that it’ll never be as good at it used to be
@@joshuwa6036 why does everyone keep saying this? What’s actually different..
@@mikebasketball11 you just had to be there, the slower movement, the none futuristic gadgets, buying attachments over weapon skins. The lighting was a lot darker and grittier. I think the old operator videos really capture old siege. It was a tactical shooter, recoil actually existed. Every operator felt unique and required. It was a proper team game: defenders had two reinforcements you had to use or you’d let the team down. Now it’s just not as tactical, it’s more like a call of duty, no unique operators E.g. You don’t even need thermite anymore cos recruit can hard breach. You want to experience old siege ? Play the situations, I don’t think ubi updated them
@@mikebasketball11 also the maps, the maps weren’t made for competitive, they weren’t balanced, but that’s what made them fun. Old Hereford and old house made so many memories for me
And regardless of what speed you were it felt like you had some weight to you, like you was carrying all that equipment and armour etc. now it feels like everyone is sonic
Nerd
goofy ahh controller player
why tf are we letting console players on here now. man astralis fell off
