I think the thing that wasn't played up enough is his charity giving. He donates a lot of money anonymously where no one knows it is from him. He goes so far with this that he has some other entity give the money to charity for him so they don't know it was from him. Only now after 10 years is it known who knows what he has given since them that no one knows about. That is like next level humility.

I bumped into him when I first moved to California. I was riding my motorcycle in the canyons near LA. I stopped at a small gas station to fill up and was admiring this bike occupying the pumps adjacent to me. I thought it looked familiar, it was chrome and sleek with no fairings or markings, and kind of a Bonneville meets Ducati Monster thing. As my back was turned and I was doing the insert credit card dance, the rider of said bike had come out and was preparing to leave. I turned and said, "Hey man that's a nice bike!" He turned and was wearing an open face helmet and had on Aviator sunglasses. He just said, " thanks" and took off. The way he said 'thanks' and that voice, the size of him and the way he walked, then it clicked that was an Archer motorcycle, then it dawned on me that it was Reaves himself! I tried to catch him, but he was gone.

I’m surprised that there wasn’t any mention of his philanthropy work with hospitals. He’s one of maybe a handful of Hollywood actors who is a genuine and humble person who gives back, versus those who just take, and try to stay in the spotlight, he chooses to keep it on the low down, a true “cool guy”.

I love the story about when he went to get tactical gun training for John Wick. The guy that does the training absolutely loved his energy. He didn't come in their arrogant just wanting to look cool for the movie. He came in there wanting to actually know how to do it regardless of the movie. He put the time in and listened to actually become proficient with the weapons. Which is why I think what he does in the movies look so right. He also doesn't think he's better than others. A problem many celebrities have.

Then his baby and girlfriend. Strong guy when you can keep yourself grounded through all these things and out of the grasp of Hollywood evils. He deserves all the happiness.
