That is kind of like how little kids actually do make friends sometimes, though. I remember way back when I was in first grade, I was talking to another girl in class, and somehow we found out that we both had the same birthday, and we became instant friends just because we both had the same birthday.
The plot twist at the end got me shook. xD.

Okay Super Long Rant Ahead But:
I feel Angel's father and Petunia's mother- despite doing a fantastic job spoiling their daughters- do a terrible job when it comes to actually taking their daughter's needs for consistency and stability into consideration. They just expect the girls to always be okay with their constantly changing relationships as well as expect their daughters to constantly view their new paramore as their new parent. (Angel's expected to view every new girlfriend of her father as her new "Mommy" and Petunia's expected to view every boyfriend of her Mother's as her new "Daddy"). Furthermore, the parents don't really get that their daughters are tired of the constant new relationships and I see the constant expectation their parents have that these *4-year-old girls* should keep smiling and faking their own happiness and never show dissatisfaction with their parent's lovers. (I definitely noticed the scolding of both Angel and Petunia and the threaten to not get either of them a pony when they both start to voice their concerns about their new "parent" "sister" and "family") It feels like the only ones are really on Angel and Petunia's side and truly have their best interest are their respective butlers and cats. (I adore the butler characters, they seem to be better parents than their biological ones) And just when Angel and Petunia feel they get along, and possibly the lot of them can be a family, their parents almost immediately after break up. It's fascinating but I also am frustrated especially since I feel there are parents like this in real life. I know such parents myself, though they are NOT wealthy and don't even grant their child such a lavish lifestyle. But I definitely know a woman who's got a terrible boyfriend, and expects her daughter and son to equate "My scummy boyfriend (who doesn't like either of you I might add)= Your Daddy" The ideology that whoever your dating instantly becomes the parent of your child when your a single parent, especially trying to force such a relationship when the lover does not like the child or the child doesn't like them, is definatley a phenomenon that exists and it's completely unfair to the child. It causes kids to act out and behave unpredictably.
If you are a single parent, it's crucial to find a partner that gets along well with your child before settling into a long term relationship or something more serious with said partner. It's understandable and normal for your child to be uncertain of your partner for a while, (especially if they have a strong relationship with their biological parent and are hoping for you to get back together with their other parent and/or feel that your "replacing" their other parent in the case of Widowhood) and that's sadly unavoidable sometimes. However, there are warning signs especially if you see your partner clearly does not like *your child* or is mean to them- it's unfair for you to expect your child to put your happiness above their own, at least when they're young and your relationship will drastically change their life as well as your own. They're helpless at this point in life and it's not fair for them to have to deal with a mean spirited new lover of their parent (or worst of all, be expected to immediately accept this new partner as their parent regardless of a negative personal relationship with them.) Clearly neither Petunia's Mother or Angel's Father seem to get this.
All in all, Hatsy this is by far my favorite series by you as you can see no life is perfect and everyone has their struggles. Petunia and Angel might have any toy they so desire and live in a giant house and get ponies and cats and a butler tending to their every whim- but they still aren't truly happy because their parents are so inattentive to actually caring for their more inconvenient needs- like a stable reliable female(Angel)/male(Petunia) role model in their life or their need for stability. They're stuck in palatial mansions with people coming in and out of their life all the time. And that's not pointing out the kind of partners their Mother/Father seem to gravitate to are crummy gold diggers who don't like children. I also doubt Petunia and Angel get the consistent discipline they need and it's probably going to lead to emotional/behavioral problems when their older.

What I find coolest of these stories is that Hasty picks up characters from other stories she has already done and puts them into other stories as if they all lived in the same world! Amazing!

Lol I don't even play the sims anymore.. Just don't ever seem to have the time, what with my job and Uni :/ But. I always come here for the stories.. There's something unmistakably charming about your stories, they just hook you, draw you in and for a moment, all your worries melt away as you become lost in this world that exists outside of the busy, stressful one you just need a little escape from. For a moment - - time doesn't seem to be your enemy lol.
