Probably the single most helpful dubbing technique that you taught Cheech is starting with dubbing a noodle on a strand of thread, then creating the dubbing loop and spinning the dubbing noodle into the loop binding the dubbing noodle into a strong narrow dubbing cord. I think this technique you also demonstrated with peacock hurl. It was a game changer for my small nymph tying. I call it “cording a dub noodle.”
Another trick that I just found out recently that Cheech used here, dub counter clockwise and your noodle actually tightens instead of loosening as you wrap.
How hard do you squeeze your fingers? I feel like I'm really cranking down on the thread! I wet my finger and thumb, then twist until I'm about to dub my skin onto the thread and it still doesn't look as good as what you did there...of course I have little girl hands compared to your massive bear paws so that might be the issue hah
Anything up to about a size 8 I make a dubbing noodle after that I put it in a dubbing’s loop . It’s great stuff :-)

I think the key with most dubbing is use very little. The more I adhere to that the better my noodles come out.
