I love the husqvarna filing system
If I’m in the woods, the guide really helps with consistency on my cutters when i just have the saw plopped on the ground. In my garage, i don’t need it once it’s in a vice.
As far as the raker guage, i like the idea the raker is a specific height in relation to it’s own cutter. I even out the rakers every time i file
Have never noticed anything weird out of the box but now I’ll look

Heck yeah brother!! And yes there are slight variations on new chain! I agree with the saw in a vice, I really like stihls stump vise. Pretty cheap and works really well in the woodsđŸ‘ŒđŸ»

I always wondered why Buckin would touch up a new chain. Now I know 😊

I use the husqvarna raker gauges too. I heat them up with a propane torch then dip them in bar oil to case harden them. They last forever then.

Have you ever used the 2 in 1 sharpener? I use the Stihl one

Never have, solid idea because it does raker while filing the tooth! Just like the regular file. I have heard they work very well from quite a few people though!
