The 2022-23 PGA TOUR season has reached the finale. East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, Georgia, will host the TOUR Championship with the best players from this season all competing for the PGA TOUR’s ultimate prize. This will be a no-cut event, with the top 30 players beginning on their FedExCup Starting Strokes based on where they are in the FedExCup standings. Scottie Scheffler leads the field at 10-under par this week. He’ll look for redemption after playing the last five holes in 1-over par last week, as Viktor Hovland captured the BMW Championship. Scheffler has been the most consistent player on TOUR this season with 15 top-10 finishes and knows how to deliver on the big stage. Rory McIlroy starts at 7-under this week and will be looking to become the first player to win four FedExCups and the first to defend a FedExCup title. He played well for a T-4 finish last week at the BMW Championship and has three top-10 finishes alongside his three titles at East Lake. Others to look out for are Jon Rahm (6-under), Patrick Cantlay (4-under) and Max Homa (4-under).

Hovland has been an absolute machine the last few weeks, well deserved and could not happen to a nicer guy, hoping he wins a major next year 😄
This is one of the most dominant performances we've seen for a while
He wasn't dominant. He just started the tournament with 5 shots less compared to Schauffele. They both had 261 strokes in the whole tournament. Hovland has been an absolute machine in the last few weeks though.
Did you watch Harman at the open?
True that. Tiger like kind of domination
I think there was a guy a few weeks ago who shot a 61 and then a 58 the next round on another tour 🤔
@@tastykeycoffeecupMickey Mouse tour
Look how happy his security detail were for him. That says all you need to know about this champion. Loved by all.
He is the nicest golfer on the tour. Legend in the making!
Complete distruction of the rest of the field insane level of consistency all week from Hovland really hope he wins a Major next he has all the talent and is very consistent WELL DONE VIKTOR!!!
HELT RÅTT! gratulerer Viktor
What an amazing performance this week and a heck of a way to finish off the round! Congrats Victor!
Viktory! And he had fun doing it. Xander pushed him and he responded. Amazing kid.
Xander shoots 7 under and can't shave a single stroke off the lead. At that point all you can do is tip your hat.
I was on the 14th green when he made that long putt to save par. Absolutely electric!
Same!
So calm at his age.. absolutely phenomenal
I’ve never seen anybody be so good at East lake like hi land great performance 👍🏼
Not bad for a Norwegian Oklahomian.
Ok but who do u think cares about what « you have never seen »?
Do u think « what u have ever seen » is sort of a yardstick for humanity?
@@mattlapKartinglighten up 🙄
@@mattlapKartingdon’t do drugs kids.
I am so impressed (and proud) of how calm he kept through the whole round, even though Schauffelle was playing really good and pushed Viktor to play just as good. Other players would have easily crumbled. Not Viktor 😊 -7 and -8 for these two guys the last round, best out of everyone, with so much on the line, is nothing but outstanding. I’m so happy for him, yeah 🇳🇴
@@jackiejay4556 Dude I'm American I'd I'll probably go for Victor in his matches lol
@@GooseDuck-ft4ko Ryder cup is the one time I prioritize country in who I root for. I have no problems rooting for Rory, Rahm, or Hovland any other time, but in the cup it's all about country! =) I might make an exception for the LIV golfers though if we take any =(
@@garyco766 Brooks is the only LIV guy I like cause all he cares about is money and winning majors lmao. When he won the PGA stupid Bryson was like "yeah it's a great look for the LIV" and Brooks was like "yeah, I won, 5 majors now". He never even wears his LIV logo either, dude could care less the LIV is just practice for the majors for him (and the money of course)
What a Great 2 Weeks
I met Viktor in his rookie year at the John Deere Classic, so it’s extremely exciting to watch get the very much deserved wins, congrats on two in a row Vik
Absurdly high level ball striking
Hovland is on fire 🔥
Great playing from hovland👍
I could hear the roar all the way from Norway to Denmark when he wan😊
What a great player 😮😊
Good lord we’ve been rooting for Hovland!!🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 well deserved
Jim Nantz “ he’s the season long Victor” will never get old!
When he arrived on tour with Wolff and Morikawa; Wolff won quick; Morikawa has been the most successful to date, but I feel like Hovland is the best bet to take a “long” position on.
Yup. I said that to myself when they both came out of Oklahoma State. All anyone could talk about was Wolff, when Viktor was just as good with better mechanics. Hope he just keeps getting better too. Great player and personality.
Morikawas game isn’t as bulletproof as hovlands. Wolff forgot what golf and titles were about.
I think he's got one of the highest ceiling's on tour, he reminds of peak Rory a lot at times.
He strikes the ball so well but his putting is just next level at the moment.
Remarkable. What an exhibition. Congratulations Viktor.
Viktor was in the Golfing Zone but never stopped being a Nice Guy. The embrace & handshake for his Police guards was a touch of class👍👍
Nice job viktor! Incredible stuff today
What an absolute clinic the whole tournament by Hovland - that was as impressive as it gets. But also massive props to Schauffele wow he tried to put some serious pressure on. That long-ish clutch putt by Viktor after he hit a poor chunked chip was just ice cold.
Eyes on the price! Viktor went all in and had better skills and the better focus. Very well played! A true champ indeed.
You could see this young man's potential when he was top Amateur 2 years in a row at the Masters. I remember when Tiger won it in 2019 and they were both in the cabin for the interview afterwards. He announced he was going pro the coming year. It has not been a surprise to see how he is doing with wins under his belt already. The surprise is how steady he has been in all 4 rounds making the least amount of mistakes compared to the rest of the field.
To think if Victor Hovland's father had not come to America to work we may never have witness such a great round of golf today. I loved the story told today how his father purchased a set of golf clubs for his 11 year old son. This was a great round today between Hovland & Schauffele. This is why I have loved & played golf for over 55 years. Great win. I would love to see video of the celebration in Norway~! Shalom
What a guy. Very well done Viktor, so very much deserved. When this guy gets hot he is roasting. Gets better and better every year. Look out for the majors next year. 👏👏👏
The head to head in the final round reminded me of watching Phil and Henrik going at it at the Open a few years back.
What i love about Hovland, he have rounds with people with big handicaps. He is just a normal guy when he visit Norway. He want to make golf bigger in winter country Norway. We need it, because many courses have being build and many have problems economics.
My wife and I are your number 1 fans Viktor. We fell in love with your smile and fantastic attitude.Congratulations young man YOU DID IT HOLY COW🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
Is that 2 wins in 2 weeks? What a machine! 🙌
It's a putting contest! Yes, after you strike it better, or as good as anyone else in the world it is. What a great round, and Schauffele put as much pressure as he could...a real treat.
You're so right, every week on Tour is basically a a short game and putting contest.
An absolute Beast 😮Congratulations 🎉🎉
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!
He deserves this victory he played well than anyone in the field. Best player in the world lookout for him at Ryder cup next month. He will win major in the future
I am so impresed and round how calm he kept through the whole round, even though Schaufflee was really good in terms of Viktor and the other players and the have easily climbing crumbled into the Viktor and 7 and minus eight under par.
Very classy victor, huge congratz to you sir. 👏👏.
63/62 from the last pairing of the day! I’m thinking it might have happened before but I don’t remember it.
VICTOR IS ONE OF MY FAVORITES
Some of the best form ever!
What a great young sportsman
I love seeing golfers smile. They all look like robots except for Hovland. Congrats on winning the FedEx Cup!
Glad hovland is getting the credit he deserves he is a player who plays for tittles and records not a paycheque
Cracking round of golf that.
Absolute clinic!.
Well done Viktor 👏👏👏
Been rooting against this guy for some reason but damn. He has changed me. Im now a fan. I will root for Viktor.
Well deserved
Jeg elsker denne gutten mer og mer!
Textbook defence of the lead under extreme pressure!
beautiful
That might be one of the best ryder cup teams europe ever had. Mcilroy, Rahm, Hovland
To the Viktor go the spoils 🏆
Wish he would actually celebrate his wins. The fans all want to see ot
He is a humble guy. His smile is his trademark. He celebrates of course and bursts with joy and happiness, but he isnt running around like a maniac screaming. He said he looked forward to clebrate with his buddies.
Can CBS do every tournament? This highlights reel was great!
Viktor made almost every putt that he looked at today. In my opinion, except for the 6 shot gap to begin with, I have not seen a final round of golf this good in a tournament that mattered; where so many clutch shots and putts were made, since Stenson vs. Mickelson at Royal Troon in '16.
And that was also a Scandinavian - US battle , just like today.
Congrats to Viktor after Thursday Collin looked hard to beat. Can we get Rory’s -5 round please PGA 🙏.
That's one happy caddie.
Dude was in the zone.
Congrats to Hovland and hats off to Xander for making him work for it. A 63 and a 62 in the final group was quite a sight. It was like match play. TBH I was rooting for Bradley but his driver let him down on Sat. Anyways, congrats to the champion!
Xander made him earn it and he did, both players should feel satisfied
Viktor just reminded the boys that he has the belt!!
Viktor Hovland, World's #1
Can’t believe how many clutch putts he made on this round.
The dude finished 20 shots ahead of Jon Rahm for crying out loud.
He also beat Scheffler wit 18 shots. Scheffler started with two shots ahead of him and finished 16 strokes behind. McIlroy was 14 shots behind him (and started one behind).
Victor...nice.
Sure someone already posted: Imagine shooting 62 in big tournament and losing.
Nice
9:03 "I love Norwegia! ".... "I love Norway*" LOL
Victor actually has a great advantage over the field, he has bigger arms and bigger palms, and he hit a lot more golf balls 😊
2 down, let’s get 5 more Viktor
One putt everything
i fking love golf
무명의 반란 . 너무 대단
No one can convince me that this guy isn't John Connor (Edward Furlong) from Terminator 2 all grown up. In other words, when they make another Terminator movie, they should show clips back and forth from T2 and cast Hovland as John Connor. You'll see what I mean
VIKTORY!
Amazing how far one can get with an over-the-top pull cut.
Get those drones out of there at the 18 green. Sheesh
Great guy. Hopefully he doesn’t leave the kids hanging though in his next win! A little high five goes a long way with a kid!
The man from nowhere or is it Norway? Brilliant.
Congrats to hovland…. Well deserved…. With that being said… there should be another tournament or two before the tour championship….should be the top 10 battling it out with the current format…
Two very rich players walking off 18. I’ve been watching professional golf for 25 years and always understood despite finish, there are no losers out there on tour. 😅
I BEEN SAYING HOVLAND THE BEST HES THE GOAT WAY TO CONSISTENT
hope he makes the eu ryder cup team, we need al the help we can get
He is allready in that team of course. An automatic qualifier because of his ranking.
@@In_my_own_mind Irony doesn't always work via written text 😅
Viktor's the man - hopefully he can keep the form up until late September.
@@sumsar0125 Irony or making «jokes» online, needs smileys. At least you need to use a wink smiley or something 😉
Thought it was clear'ish since Victor has been on a tear + top 5 in the world... but I learned my lesson and will do better next time 😉@@In_my_own_mind
So does the caddy still get 10%?
Oh, he'll be well compensated.
VH gives away 13,5% to his caddy. Why not, he is only a simple boy
The Hawaii fire is suspicious
Even with many of the big favorites like Rory, Justin, Jordan I love to see win if you are not rooting for this guy then...!?
imagine being there, in person, seeing these guys hit these amazing shots. and as they set up to go, you put your phone, between you and them, and watch it on a small screen, instead of drinking in the full experience in the flesh. and you will never watch it again, it will just sit there as dead data on your phone, when you can see it on youtube at anytime. i don't get it and never will.
Just like having a selfie with these guys who don’t even know you, can never understand that either
It doesn’t matter really but why did he dap up the Sherrif and police officer after the win? Are they with him a lot? 😂
Th ask for the dang spoiler PGA
Why do many shots when few shots do trick?
Who should be the PGA Tour Player of the Year - Jon Rahm or Viktor Hovland? Hovland's meteoric rise is impressive, but does he still have a lot to prove? Rahm has clinched a major and the FedExCup, but is that enough?
#birdiefansclub #meetjohndaly #meetgolfstars
Needs to learn some crowd appreciation on the walk to the scores shed. Sad to see no hand slaps to any youngsters walking through. Congratulations tough and I love his always happy smile. ✋🏻👊🏻
maybe a cultural thing?-----he does seem quite shy however
He is focused and in his zone as he should be playing the biggest round of his career. He shook and made high fives to people after he had finished the round. He is a humble guy. He doesnt want too much attention. Some audience show very little respect and they should understand some players maybe need to stay focused. Also, in the covid times to touch peole’s hands isnt something people should expect. What if he got covid before the Ryder cup. People still gets covid…
Always remember your fans !
@@joemartinez2660 Who says he doesnt remember his fans? Just because he didnt touch them on the way to the next tee? Fans can get too close for comfort. Fans will get the attention after they are finished playing. Do you see other athletes interact with fans during their game/performance or after? Right….
I'd like to hear Xander's opinion about "starting strokes". Too bad the rules of the so-called "season long" FedEx Cup series prevented us from watching an exciting playoff for the Tour Championship. I didn't hear a CBS commentator observe that Schauffle's amazing final round 62 to Hovland's 63 resulted in a tie for the Tour Championship. If I were on the PGA Tour's players committee, I'd vote down "starting strokes". I don't mind that the winner of the Tour Championship might be different than the winner of the FedEx Cup.
-27 if you have to beat that to win oh man
HOW can you not show his 338 yard tee shot on 18? As usual, a complete failure to provide good highlights.
Why is this impressive? i shoot this well everytime i play PGA2k23 😂
Can’t believe I’ve just watched someone shake his hand whilst holding a camera in his face 😂 can’t even comprehend how weird that is
Well done vik, absolute shagger
