after filming some videos with my micro-modular setup, i had the idea to make some similar videos with my tiny beat-building setup: the smol beats series were born!
i use for this:
the sc500 by portablismgear
the po-33 K.O! pocket operator by teenage engineering - its in a sweet case by beatmakersboutique
and a mini kaoss pad 2 by korg
i play the samples via youtube from a smartphone.
the samples go to the pocket operator, from there to the mini kaoss pad - and to my audio interface.
(i use a motu ultralite mk III)
in the first runs the scratches were sadly pretty loud, i found a workaround by sending the audio from the sc500 to another channel in my interface and not directly to the po-33 - so i can balance them separately.
its working good so far ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ

its the best Musical device in terms of price /value i ever bought. i just can recommend it. Check out the secret hacks /Tipps for it! there are good Videos explaining it on CZcams! its by far the most powerful pocket Operator, imho.

i wish you much fun with the device! you probably need some Powerbank, cuz mine makes awful noises if i simply connect it to the Computer USB for Power - i use one from harley benton, its usually for guitar people, because it has connections for guitar pedals too!

super cool setup! I love taking advantage of todays minimalistic studio equipment it’s so convenient and u can take it on the go as well I need to check that scratch instrument out asap this is what I was searching for
its made by portablismgear in Berlin. its iirc, at the Moment still in beta. there is the sc500, the device i am using, and one thats a bit bigger, the sc1000. not the cheapest Equipment, but MAD fun!! hahaha
@@derbymachtsachen danke für die info! was heist beta kann man es nicht normal kaufen? hab eins vorhin bei ebay kleinanzeigen emtdeckt . ich benutze ein ipad mit Akai impc app und mpc element drum controller , dazu noch focusrite itrack dock
@@vel2118 den transparenten...? ;) mit dem liebäugele ich auch schon ne weile als Ersatzgerät. beta bedeutet dass es noch nicht abgeschlossen ist und sie dir keine Garantie darauf geben - das muss einem klar sein. Mein Gerät funktioniert Bombe, kann nicht klagen!

Tiniest deck I've seen, but can't believe it's 240 euros. Ouch!
well, its a number, but its justified, imho. its still in beta and not in a big production like some behringer stuff, its build by a small Company and there is nothing alike out there, as far as i know. how much cost a nice turntable and a bunch of lps? this thing is really responsive, and if somebody knows what to do, not like me, they get serious scratches out of it! and you can easily put your favorit beats and Samples on it and have fun wherever you want - for me its a super valuable piece of Hardware, way more justifiable to myself then getting, for example, this fucked up New OP-1 field for 2000€
