I have cruised on the margaritaville Paradise. I'm so sick and tired of seeing every influencer label it the worst cruise ever and pretending as though they survived the Holocaust when they sailed with Margaritaville. Honestly I thought it was quite enjoyable for the price. If you go on Margaritaville and pay $80 and expect the same level of quality from celebrity, you're an idiot. But at the price, it was a nice little weekend getaway. I, also as a tampino, I'm looking forward to the new ship. Prices seem affordable. 5 days on a balcony room to Mexico for $800 all in sounds like a bargain. If I had any vacation time left for next year I would schedule it for sure.

Im excited for margaritaville at seas! Not everyone can afford the big name cruise lines. I think everyone should be able to enjoy a cruise once in their lifetime!
They're not exactly cheaper than everyone else. They still nickel and dime for eberything outside of the buffet and main dining
@@jcspotter7322yea honestly it’s nearly the same price. I opened up 3 tabs and their rates were only about $60 off from similar destinations on better ships
@jcspotter7322 but that's the same with major cruiselines too. Besides main and buffet you pay for other dining options and drinks, etc. This may be good for a budget traveler who doesn't mind sticking to basics.
There port right now is horrible
There is no value at the margaritaville at sea. Everything is an upcharge aside from the nasty buffet and lame dining room, there is no unlimited drink package, get ready to pay for drinks. The ship stinks. The price is not as low as people make it look like. There is nothing appealing to the look or design of the ship. The entertainment is lame. This is not a cruise line for people on a budget, this is simply a cruise ship that was purchased on a burget. You will waste your money. Go on NCL Sky if you wanna be on a budget.
Islander could be huge for them.
The reviews for Paradise basically say the food, service and entertainment are all good and the experience is really only let down by the antiquated hardware. If they can extend that suite of experiences to a fairly modern Spirit class ship this could be REALLY good.
I love how fair you are with your reviews- I like the comparison between budget airlines and budget cruises- people bag on it like they’re charging the same as Princess cruises lines- they’re not. Manage expectations

We live in Henderson, Nevada, which is near Las Vegas, and flying all the way to Florida to take advantage of budget weekend cruising really isn't cost effective. A 1 hour flight to SoCal might be doable. Sure, the ships are a little long in the tooth but from what I'm hearing, the rooms are clean, the food and the service are pretty good and, most importantly, the price can't be beat. Something to consider.
Carnival’s cheapest cruises tend to be the ones out of Long Beach.
@@Danrarbc We don’t sail Carnival as we’re RCI/Celebrity cruisers and they use Los Angeles as far as I know but Long Beach would do just as well if the itinerary was right.
@@gregmctevia5087 right it would be 100% more doable from Nevada, a nice quick weekend getaway and it won't cost almost 2k for it every time
Many bad reviews for the Paradise but since it was put in drydock for a major overhaul its a different situation. We sailed in August and had the best time.! No funky smells or any of the other complaints I heard. It was tryly enjoyable
Jay, this is an excellent point! Have you been on MAS Paradise since the dry dock? We were also impressed after its multi-million dollar updates.
More people cruising is a good thing. It gets people to experience new things and adds to the competition making the market better for everyone.
We’re willing to try the new ship with an open mind.
Not sure if they'll keep the same options, but a cheap cruise ferry to Key West intrigues me a lot more than a cheap cruise ferry to Freeport.

We’ve cruised the Margaritaville Paradise twice. Had a great time. The ship was old but had great vibes. Our only problem was the stop in Freeport. It had a great shopping area just off the port but was closed the last time we went because our ship was the only one in port. We took a taxi (around $20) to another area that had a small straw market but nothing like the Freeport dock. Disappointed but we made the best of it. Looking at the ship with 4/5 day cruise out of Tampa to Cozumel, Key West and Progresso.
That's a Spirit class ship... and they are beloved by many.... this is a HUGE upgrade for the cruise line.

My main thought (as a parrothead) is that Margaritaville - the brand - is most definitely *not* cheap! From the retirement communities to the resorts, restaurants, and merch, their stuff is pretty spendy (and the quality is there, so it's worth it).
I'm not saying they couldn't carve out their own niche in the cruise market - I hope they do! But they're definitely gonna have to step up their game on the quality quotient.

We're booked for October on the Islander. It looks to be a great ship and we got an awesome price deal. I couldn't pass it up for a balcony. We're looking forward to this cruise and we will definitely book another, if the ship and cruise line do awesome. We sailed on the Paradise when it was Bahamas Cruise line. YES, that ship was old then.
That's a carnival Spirit class ship which is a very well-built ship built in Finland has acid pods this will definitely bring them into more of a big time that ship will tow it over their other ship it also is almost a thousand feet long and I think 10 decks and should have a 10 or 12 deck Atrium in the back of the ship which I like going on the Bermuda cruise out of Baltimore that's one of the best River Cruise trips to the ocean it's great it takes almost 22 hours to get to out to the ocean some Margaritaville did Good by getting a spirit class cruise ship plus these ships can be very fast

I love the people criticizing the room he's in which is on one of Celebrity's newest ships and looks real plain at best. PS was just on Celebrity in Feb and going again in Oct. Not a Celebrity hater it's just funny. Also have MaS Islander booked for Feb25

I think the younger clientele enjoy the Carnival and the RCL over Celebrity. Personlly being 138 years old, I vote for Celebrity.
I found that the food in the main dining rooms on my last two RCL cruises was mediocre at best. Celebrity's main dining room food was much better than the Carnival and RCL.
The food in the main dining rooms on the Carnival and RCL ships has taken a nose dive in the last decade. Perhaps it is because of the specialty restaurants generating more revenue? Thirty years ago, the food in the main dining rooms was 1000% better. Sorry to get off track, being that this video is about the Margaritaville.

I won a trip once for two day hotel and cruise to Freeport out of West Palm Beach and I was not really thrilled. I had previously been on many cruises and this ship was old but looked like Carnival! If its free,just beware😮😮😮😮😮😮

It's basically a way for Margaritaville to fill empty cabins aboard the ship with someone who might spend a little extra aboard. "Non-consecutive" means someone can't move in, the 24-72 hours before departure to book means filling unsold cabins which won't be sold otherwise, the holder of the pass still has to pay everything that's not cruise fare for the sailing, and then there's the fact that the itinerary never changes so the majority of passholders won't bother once they get bored of the ship or the destination. Gut feeling is the average pass purchaser still pays close to full price for their sailings, but feels like they got a deal because they're paying for a year instead of per sailing.

So I checked their website but they don't really say what's included. If you compare it to spirit which is cheaper because it's a la carter, is margaritaville cruises also that way?
If do a true refurbishment and maintain the pricing ; there will be potential. Patch the holes/get rid of the rust & mold/working plumbing and correct the sewage system to rid the smells and back up into the showers & toilets. We shall see.
so what do single people do when they want to go on a cruise when cruises charge you for double occupancy? I'm single by choice I will remain single by choice. Forever, and I also like to travel by myself, and most definitely not bring a friend to share a room with me even if I were to go on vacation with friends, we have separate rooms, so how does someone who wants to go on cruises can get around paying double

I am trying to book a sailing on the ship that can operate around my vacation time. We shall see how the 'worst ship in the industry' makes out. Still not interested.

I just looked at a balcony on the new ship for a family of 3 for 5 nights and its $700 more then RCCL Explorer for the same 5 nights. I'll continue getting points on RCCL.

My biggest problem with margaritaville is the drink package situation. If I’m gonna go on what sounds like a crappy ship. I’m sure as hell gonna drink and paying 100 for just a few drinks is absurd. I WANT UNLIMITED! This ship would be perfect for college students like me ;)

All I can say is that I absolutely refuse to fly budget airlines, such as Spirit, frontier, or jet but…and I more than refuse to go on a budget cruise ship! I have stopped going on ships that use shower curtains instead of doors because it’s uncomfortable. A trip is going somewhere within your same country, being from the USA and going to Atlanta, Miami, Dallas, or Los Angeles, as examples. A vacation is traveling to somewhere exotic, traveling in a fun and luxurious way…Cruising! The words Cruising and Cheap do not belong in the same sentence.
