Captain Rick Moore great was just wondering 👍
Understanding the perils of 40 knots of wind in an anchorage. Adding the humour of Captain Ron clips I thought this was one of your best episodes. Regards Harley
My friend, I am not interested in some of your current San Andres friend. No, I am wrong. Actually I have seen his hurricane video. It's amazing to see mother nature power. I like your video as you're a new San Andres government. Governmenting the entire sea area and who is moving in and out.Amazing !!! With your blue shades. Why don't you apply for some government position? What do you think ???
After Eta are you keeping your eyes on Iota? Hoping that it stays well north of you.
@@thomasfholland Your response It doesn't have a sense at all
You’re the man Cap’t Rick, captain Ron and company are lucky you were there to lend a hand, glad you and the entire crew of Sophisticated Lady are doing well, stay safe...
Your a good man Captain Rick
All that and the "captain Ron" boat too Love it.
Daniel Perra is a legend! Only guy in the world that wears a coronavirus mask under water filming and in a hurricane! God I love that dude!
Glad you are a legend Capt. Rick so cool you help everyone out and have the ultimate best cast of characters every in your orbit!
Cheers from the States!
Agreed! Go Daniel!
Helping your friends and Neighbors a bad storm is what it's all about if you haven't been there it is the one thing that keeps Sailors together
Daniel's storm coverage is excellent. Thank you for the Capt Ron inserts very entertaining. I am glad I am a Patreon. loaning an anchor and helping a fellow sailor during the storm speaks volumes!!
Oh man, this is the best ever. Rick, they are so lucky to have you in the area.
I was wondering how you all were doing. Wow, what a lot of action. You certainly bring calm to the chaos. You always seem to have the answers! Good job man..
Finding your channel during the " lock downs" has been a blessing. Your work gives me/us a spirit of freedom.
Be well & thank you for taking us along
"If anything's gunna happen, it will happen out there..." Capt Ron
So glad you all are ok!! Thank you for keeping us updated! CHEERS Rick and Maddy💖✨⛵🌅💖✨🌊⛵
I've been watching you for years and years now. I think this is one of the best videos you ever did. The subject matter was so interesting and it was a story made to be filmed. Great job everyone!
Formosa 51 I love those ketches-the windjammer look, galleon style rear windows and and that bowsprit! Cheoy Lee shipyard built them well and the amount of cupboard and storage on those is mindboggling. Just a pity there are none of the in Australia
Hello Rick, glad to see that you all and the Lady weathered the storm. How generous of you to go around and help the other boats, captains need to look out for each other. That ketch looks beautiful, it's clearly been well cared for.
I think the fact that the other boat was dragging back into SSL was added motivation
Great teamwork with friends from ashore and sailing community afloat. Respect sent.
Thank you so much. I have been waiting to hear how thing were working out. I have to say I am really looking forward to every video.
You are such a good person. Stay safe and thanks for the update
So glad you guys are safe.
Thanks Remi, us too! :)
Captain Rick Moore I contacted you one time before let you know how appreciative I was for your videos yours is the first one I ever added to my account and the one I watch the most I've been through several storm in Florida since the early seventies so I appreciate your expertise and I hope the best for you and Maddie you're the greatest man I watch you all the time I'm glad that you all or safe give my best to all your friends there the South Caribbean hope to join you someday seriously God bless you sir. Yours Regen Moore
Hello captain Rick...What a day for you guys but once again you have shown the true spirit of the sailing community and dispite the weather conditions you and your crew were right there to help. You have a big heart Cpt. Rick. Trust you all remained safe and the weather is better now. ⛵
Captain Ron Lives! .... indeed. ⚓ You're an excellent man of the sea, Rick. Always there to pass on your kindness & expertise 🌟✨ The old lady appears to need some TLC.... nevertheless, her "style and class" continue to shine through many years flirting with the sea. Stay safe ✌️🇺🇸
“It's just a squall, they come on ya fast and they leave ya fast.”
“Don't worry. They'll get out of the way. I learned that driving the Saratoga.”
“When we left, we had just enough fuel to make it to San Juan. And now... we are out of fuel!”
“If we get lost we will just pull in somewhere and ask directions.”
Still love that movie! It’s an 80’s classic...
“A diesel loves her oil same as a sailor loves rum.
The 1992 movie is an 80s classic?
@@KhanAndMrPointyEars It was a simple typographical error. Still however conceived and most likely started in the late 80’s, seeing how most movies spend a few years being written, rewritten, looking for production companies and of course the actors themselves as well as scouting shooting locations. A good movie nonetheless!
Hello from Ontario, the Capt Ron references brought a light hearted element to what can be a serious situation when boats drag anchor in major storms in a crowded anchorage! Very well done! Fellow boaters are in good company when you are around to help! Stay safe
Good update, glad you’re all OK. Pretty exciting while it lasted, I bet! Surprised given the hurricane and the waves and working on Captain Ron’s anchoring issues that you weren’t all wearing PFDs - maybe it looked worse than it felt to you at the time
Wow that video was action packed and a nail biter. Loved the Capt. Ron footage and now I have to watch that movie. Hurricanes are no joke and preparation is key. That boat was rocking from side to side while SSL was steady. Happy you are safe and, considering the circumstances, thanks for taking the time to post.
Great video Captain Rick and Maddy! What a day! Bet you never thought you would be at the helm of Captain Ron’s boat! Thanks for the memories! ✌️
My sympathies to you Rick I know just what your going through in this video. I was out in the surge of Florence with a good friend rescuing his neighbors who thought they could wait out the storm in the lofts of their garages only to have to have us come to their rescue. my friend lost his brand new toyota tundra pickup truck when the surge over took his truck in five and a half feet of water . then suddenly the motor stopped and water began to fill his cab. we had to wait for the water pressure to match on both sides of his doors before we could open the doors to escape. we couldn't use the electric windows switch to roll down the windows everything shorted out when it got wet. we had to walk in horizontal rain for 2 miles to get back to his house where he thought he had higher ground than his neighbors. only to find out that Florence had pushed up the floating hardwood floor in his living room like a pan of jiffy pop popcorn.
Captain Rick you will be Bless for Helping , you and your lady are good People
First saw Captain Ron mid Atlantic, 35 knot tail winds, surfing 25' rollers, snowing, middle of the night... the boat was humming as she surfed. Wild ride, classic flic.
So glad for the latest post! I’m glad that you skirted disaster and had the time, know how, spare emergency anchor and concern to help out your fellow sailors on Captain Roy’s vessel! I understand that it was for some peace of mind for yourselves as well. Sebastian is a fearless, get it done kind of guy! Great job Captain Rick and Maddie. You care, and that can’t be taught! All the best from S.F. Bay.
Awesome video, Sebastian is such great help. I would offer him a full time job.
Captn Rick, you are the man! I loved your snorkel mask idea. Glad you all are safe and livin the dream!
so now we will watch Captain Ron again..
_15 c this morning 7 " of snow.
Nice !!! Just another day living on a boat. Love it !!!!! Thanks Capt.
Glad to see you are ok Captain Rick and Maddie. Stay safe my friends.
You do a great job in lending a hand to help anyone out when in need. Great job.
The longest day!! Glad to see y’all are alright.
Your are a great example of the way of the sea and helping others. Great work.
I have a plow anchor, then had melted 130 lb of lead and fill poured in full the back of the plow area.
Blessings Capitan Rick! Awesome!!! Love from Puerto Rico🌴😎
ONE OF THE BEST CZcams VLOGS EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Haven't watched the video yet, but I am sure it is another great one. I just wanted to say right away that I was glad to see a new video, hurricanes are never a joke. Stay safe!
Walking around those power lines in the water, Danny was crazy. I am so sorry for the damage there. Eta is crazy. She is going to go around into the gulf and hit my mom. Just hope she doesn't get any stronger. Don't forget to get your anchor back.
That was a fun Field Trip Captain Rick! Thanks!
Awesome, awesome, episode! Thank you and cheers from the sailing capital of the Pacific Northwest, Anacortes, Wa. USA.
Amazing how not prepared some people are. Risking life of others because of their stupidity. Nice job Captain Rick, your the man.
Well done 👍 captain Rick
Another great vid Capt Ron...Loved that movie...Thank you...Glad you all are OK after the storm. I was following the storm on my weather app.
Wow! West side took a heck of a Hit. Glad you were able to assist Cpt. Ron Vessel. Thanks for the tour of his Boat. Hope everyone is safe. We are taking a blunt of this storm about Mid-week or so. Hitting us somewhat now with squads and wind. Take care down there. Oh ya! Suggestion: Wear life jackets while on the Dingy, only takes one vicious wind.
Two thumbs up you guys, I love it every time they leave in the dingy they tell tiki will be back !
You can always count on at least one boat in the anchorage that has a weak anchor, or anchors incorrectly. Always. There's just too many yokels out there to trust.
We use a corkscrew drill anchor
@@jquest43 Rick doesn't and he didn't drag.
@@operator0 that's cuz the wind didn't hit 150 mph
@@jquest43 So there's even less of a reason for the other boat to drag anchor.
The things that you and your crew do just to have a little fun to past the time away. Loved the video, thanks.
Wow you actually found Captain Ron's boat, what a classic. Thanks for sharing :)
I knew I recognized that boat when it pulled in.
Fantastic video, you did an amazing job editing in Captain Ron, Oh so glade you guys are OK.

Now I want to watch "Captain Ron"!
It's such a great movie! Definitely watch it!
So glad to see you are safe and well. Everyone should be glad that you are aboard to use your expert guidance in the storm. You could not have filmed it better if you had been on a movie set. Thrilling. God speed.
Excellent compilation Rick and Maddie...! Heart goes out to the locals..., but..., there were some funny moments in this (great editing) - hope you get your spare anchor back... ! :-) stay safe...
Great episode Rick - really enjoyed it. Here in Stuart getting 40-50 knot winds. Torrential rain - love your show. Thank you

I have to rate this episode number 1 with all the drama and comedy, thank you for sharing.
They were truly lucky to have you as a neighbor. Rick, you're a good man.
Amazing how you kept the camera rolling during that. Well done! And the Captain Ron clips were great. I love that movie!
Great video! We were all worried about you and you were out having fun!
Rick, the out takes from the movie were hilarious. Priceless editing!
Thank God Captain Ron filled his speedos from sheer fear preventing the 40 knot gust from ripping them off flinging them into someone's face upon the shore
Thanks Capt. Rick.........had such a laugh now watching Capt. Ron...................keep up the entertainment...Much appreciated from sunny South Africa!!!
One of your Best Vid's
Wow, what a day! Glad your safe.
Now that was some nostalgia! Cap'n Ron LIVES!!!
Amazing and thanks for sharing. Happy to see you safe.👍
Great video. Vlogs are becoming reality trending right now. The venue has seemed to switch. No more rainbows and unicorns. Resonates with everyday peoples. This was a great video.
Great video nicely done
Thats One of my Favorite movies, you guys really had a job on your hands... Mother Nature is always in charge, now this crazy late season storm is over me, no school today because of the storm.
Love the Video ✌️❤️🌞
good on you for help them out Rick 😬
Great anchor tips this video and last
. Thank you... stay calm in chaos
It i great to see that you are out there helping when ever you can....
Capt Rick. another great video. Watching from Miami, 12:15 am, Monday the 9th. ETA is blowing 🌬 pretty good outside, lots of rain 🌧 ...
Happy you are all safe! Far too many bad memories with storms....Katrina, Camille, Betsy...and the little ones in between...Take care !!
Well done for helping others in need...
WOW Rick what a ripper of a vid, loved the scenes from Captain Ron , imagine actually coming across one of the yachts used in the movie . As for the guy in the red bathers , what a laugh .
Great episode. Thanks for sharing!
You are still alive😍😍😍😍😊
Yet another great video Captain Rick 👍😁
Hard day but looks like you guys are OK for now. Keep us posted on next stuff.....
En situaciones límites como esta vale la experiencia de un verdadero capitán, esto no es para improvisados, felicitaciones capitán Rick.
I have have learned a valuable lesson with your two anchors, one ride technique. That one is in my toolkit now!
Glad you guys are okay and looking forward to your future adventures! Watching Eta ricochet off of South America just to take a second pass at Cuba and Florida is unreal.
Sabastian is a tremendous asset. And I didn't miss how he tied his bowline knot in the other video. He is no stranger to the bowline. Your a great neighbor Rick, even though it helps you to help others as well. And Maddie is always jumping in to lend a hand. What a group you have there.
That is so cool that you put that in the middle of this episode got to laugh at something thanks
Capt Rick Collaborates with Capt Ron... 😏
Or is it Capt Rick v Capt Ron? 🤔
Lol... Great action packed video! 🍻
Kodo's to the Lady and her crew"
Out standing assist
You all have big hearts.
Hey Rick...I just saw an update on tropical storm IOTA, building strength and eventually tracking just north of you (just like ETA), arriving around 12:00 am Monday.
Our thoughts are with you, Maddie, Sophisticated Lady, and all the incredible people you've introduced us to. Be well, be safe, anchor well, and beware of red Speedos dragging anchor!
