- We had an amazing day in Amberley, West Sussex today. First we visited the castle which is beautiful and then we went into the village to look at the beautiful thatched cottages and give Ky a run at the park before heading off to have some lunch with stunning views.
After lunch we had a nature walk followed by afternoon tea and cake.
The weather was beautiful for most of the day, we were so lucky.

Sussex has so many beautiful places. Its lovely that although you live in the county there are still places to explore again and again! i like the piece of music you use as you walk around the village. I love that you three make the most of your lives, that you are continuously inspired to go out and explore the countryside.
Oh you're so right Andrew, Sussex is so beautiful and there are still places to go that we've not been to before and I am longing to explore more as time goes by, which it does too quickly. Hi Lynn Richard and Ky how lovely to see the castle being looked after so as it will be there for many generations to enjoy. Lovely gardens and so well kept. The village is beautiful and tranquil lovely gardens to them as well. The walk was great all the wild flowers blowing in the wind . Thanks so much Fiona, we had a great day here and the weather was so kind for the most part. I love being in nature, as you know and we were so lucky to see the wild flowers and the little lizard and pheasant with the chick. I don't think I have ever seen one up so close. It was just laying there so still and quiet I almost missed it. I hope you'll enjoy your day and the week ahead. Take care and thank you for being with us on our little adventures 🥰 xx

The castle is very impressive, it kind of took my breath away and the village is so pretty, especially at this time of year with all the beautiful flowers. The ram was so amusing, could’ve watched him for hours munching away on, yes, nettles 😀 not many hollyhocks, just a few but they are one of my favourite summer flowers so lovely to see 🥰 see you on the next one 🥰
Stinging nettles are known as poor man's spinach and are good for you. You have to pick the heads early in the season.
@@michaelwhite8031 Oh yes, I agree. Richard drinks a cup of nettle tea every morning. We have loads in our garden. 🥰
Wow you packed a lot into your trip!! I have never seen inside Amberley Castle before. Did you book to go in? It was stunning! And nice to revisit the village and tea shop. You saw a lot on your nature walk too!
Oh it was such a beautiful day Jean, we had to cram in as much as we could 😃 The castle is stunning, we went to see about staying there for my birthday; it's a 50/50 with Bailiffs Court (because here I couldn't take Ky). Yes, a revisit to the tea shop was a must, last time we didn't partake in any cake and it was delicious 😋 The nature walk was lovely at Kithurst meadow. In the summer months it's renowned for being a butterfly habitat, so we shall go back. Thanks for watching 🥰
