@@robertfullam8898 not anymore, they seem to have no problem letting players develop these days and not rushing them anymore thanks to Holland, who has a reputation for letting players develop before he brings them up full time. he's doing it now by letting Bouchard, Benson develop first and Yamamoto and look how well Yamo played this season ! and he left Puljujarvi in Europe this past season and didn't rush into a trade like Chiarelli would have so i guess we'll see how Puljujarvi plays this coming season if he's traded. if he blossoms, then it's on Chiarelli and his rushing of prospects!

Ryan S how bout Yakupov, Puljujarvi, Nurse, Moroz, Roy? Benson and Bouchard have barely played and you can’t say they developed well until they’re actually developed

This draft class was stacked
I had Vancouver picking Tkachuk instead of Juolevi. But it's still too early to judge whether that pick is worth it since Juolevi has since yet to play in the NHL. But I can't imagine how dynamic Tkachuk would have been for Vancouver.

3rd Roussel-Grandlund-Virtanen

Why did they say Ryan Johansen was taken 4th by Columbus in 2004, that was 2010 lmao
Edmonton and Buffalo are the two biggest winners in the draft. EDM: Puljujarvi, Benson, Niemalainen and BUF: Nylander, Asplund, Pu. Now you will have the best duos in the NHL: McDavid-Puljujarvi and Eichel-Nylander. Obviously, Leafs got the best pick and will have their own duo of Matthews-Marner, but as far as biggest climbers, EDM and BUF gained the most.
Edmonton couldn't gain anything when they won a half dozen first overalls so I doubt anything will be different this year. No leadership, no defence and no identity...other than being the team who consistently picks first overall with little to show for it.
Leafs have a trio not a duo, Nylander-Matthews-Marner

The pick was given to the Leafs during the Phil Kessel trade, and then moved again to the Ducks when the Leafs traded for Frederik Andersen. The Ducks selected Sam Steel with that pick.
