I like the mix on this performance. As the singer comes by the camera they subtly highlight their voice. Nuance is what Gabriel, Collins, Rutherford, and Genesis went for and most often succeeded at achieving. Nuance and great music.

Double violins (rare) and double guitars allow alternate tuning without having to stop. Peter started his compositions by grooving a solid beat. He has a LOT of sweet notes. You will love Genesis when you get into them. Tony Banks is Mr. Arpeggios. Peter Gabriel knows how to put on a show. I saw him in Oct. for the first time and feel blessed. Fantastic concert. (yes, they did this song)

Check out Peter's music video of Don't Give Up. It's a duet with Kate Bush. You may want some tissues because there's a good chance you will cry.

"Sweet" reaction!😂 Thanks to @lazerx1828 for the backstory. It adds much to the song! I also like "Games Without Frontiers" and "Sledgehammer".

Thanks so much for this one! Here's another great Peter Gabriel live performance but it demands a backstory:
Years ago Peter got divorced from his wife. His youngest daughter Melanie, just a small child at the time, was confused, hurt and angry and responded by not talking to Peter. He wrote *COME TALK TO ME* for her, to let her know that it's not her fault and he loved her with all his heart. Years later Melanie, now an adult and a singer herself, joins him onstage to sing this beautiful song together. This one always hits me in the feels: *COME TALK TO ME* czcams.com/video/4J1gWMLbV70/video.html

Hi nice to see someone else appreciating Peter Gabriel's music. If you want to hear some more great vocals you could try listening to Voiceplay, they are an independent accapella vocal group based in Orlando and have been performing since the late 90's. There are 4 main members who are Geoff Castellucci (bass/low tenor) Eli Jacobsen ( pronounced elliot, high tenor and rock god) Ceasar de la Rosa (high tenor ) and Layne Stein ( beatboxer) they often feature other vocalists ( Both male and female often being past members of the group as the song requires) there songs range from Disney covers through pop, rock, theater musical songs, and music from games and films and will often go all-out on a video featuring make-up, costumes and scenery from the song. they all have amazing vocal talent all of them are able to perform in a four to five octave range WHITHOUT auto tune and produce, edit, film,do the lighting and costumes themselves or with help from freinds/family and are known as the 'Theater kids of Accapella ' because of ths. They are not signed to any record labels. If you like Gaming I would suggest there cover of ' The Dragonborn Comes ' from Skyrim as a good start but really any of there songs are worth a listen, the only effects that they use are studio post-production like layering or slight distortion and if they use an instrument they will show it in the video like the violin solo in their cover of Mettalica's ' Nothing Else Matters' they are well worth a listen if you get time👍 keep the great videos coming I will be watching with interest as an older (61) Gamer and Great Music fan 👍😃

So by Gabriel, and The Sensual World by Kate Bush are my two best albums of the late 80's

Great selection. Too bad you were stilted in being exposed to good music. Better late than never. Hope you are not dragged to hell by Peter Gabriel.
