@UCxrUB4j41i1INsQXGM8hrSg I would be interested in how much it weighted but until then I’m going to keep using compared to most giving me leeway in the sense that it may be heavier and even if it is who cares the guy probably had it registered driveway and why is it overweight unless you’re the FAA why?

if you plan to do back country landings go with a heigh wing but if you want a cursor that can easily go from a part 103 to a full fledged traveling aircraft and dont care about outfield operations, you cant get much better than this. 61mpg in an aircraft with 100mph cruise is kindof incredible.

If you are in the United States and your vehicle is within the limits set in FAR part 103 then your vehicle does not need to be registered as an aircraft and you are permitted to fly it without a pilot's license or medical certificate. You must also follow rules as to where you can fly such as staying out of controlled airspace and not flying over populated areas. Details explained in the article linked below.

I put a 250 hp turbo 4 cylinder in a UC HUMMEL and the CG was way forward so I added 30 pounds of lead shot to the tail.I tied the spring scale to the tail wheel to get a good idea how much the thrust the engine is producing and the engine firewall let go at 75 percent power. This plane is 2 flimsy for the power.
