I was in Afghanistan watching this on the Armed Forces Network, I'll never forget this moment. Fighting for my country felt even better after my favorite team in my favorite sport won the World Series! ❤ always in my heart
Devinn Boone Newsflash. You weren't "fighting for your country" or defending anyone's freedom. You were fighting for oil companies and the military industrial complex that owns our government. No hate to your or your brothers in arms. But don't go fishing for attention in the CZcams comment section like you're some sort of hero. Go Birds
That has to be one of the best day's of my life. I've been a Cardinal fan since I was 4 years old. I love baseball and I Love the Cardinals!! What made it the best was celebrating it with the man I love with all my heart!!! Mark Serra, I love you always. I lost him the next year,
Greatest game in history... at least for my family. My grandma was a lifelong cardinals fan, and she told my dad in September 2011 that she was going to see the cards win the world series. Little did we know at the time, she meant in spirit. She sadly died of heart failure the morning of game 7, but she still got to see the cardinals win it all. Bittersweet day for my family.
- Blue Jays fan here; hope to see the Jays involved in something like this again someday soon. That Cardinals team in 2011 was UNREAL; they weren't even in the wildcard discussion let alone the divisional races with about 25-30 games left that season. LaRussa must've just said to his players "Hey let's finish the season on a positive note & see what happens" Did they EVER?! :-) #WhatATeamWhatARide
I don't think I've ever felt more elated to hear Joe Buck say those last few lines: "In the air to left well hit, back is Craig...What A Team, What A Ride! The Cardinals are World Champs in 2011!!!"
And you know what Cards fans-(including St Louis Rams, Super Bowl)/St. Louis residents DON'T DO when their team(s) wins a championship? We DON'T riot, set cars on fire, make fools of ourselves or an embarrassment of our city like every other city that does. Fact.
THEORIGINALEXSCAPER I don't listen to what the media says, nor do I look up baseball-related things too often. But I do know, due to common sense, that not *every* single other city besides St. Louis does that when they win a championship. I'm leaving.
I’ll never forget that night. I was in Section 350 dead behind center Home Plate. The view was breathtaking with the Skyline and Gateway Arch in the background. I can’t believe it’s going to be 10 years 2021. Time has gone too fast.
Damn proud to be a part of Cardinal Nation. The passion I have for STL is something true Saint Louis only feels, these guys have done a lot for STL, God I miss this team!
i am glad i joined the cardinal nation.. I am not even from the united states and i love them with all my heart and soul.. i swiched from 2 teams.... from the cardinals i will never swich... with the help of god we will bring the championship to saint louis this season, amen.
I’m an Angels fan Scott Spiezio huge for us huge for you in 2006 w triple off the wall in Shea stadium in game 6 of nlcs But this was the most incredible run perhaps in the history of the game aug 25th 10.5 out to win it all!
I dont care who you are a fan of. Im a red sox fan and this was a magical moment. No emotional roller coaster in sports history will ever match what these guys did that season. Unbelievable.
And yet cubs fans were trying to say there world series was better like yeah right did cubs that good pitcher in game 7 for them Chris carpenter will and always will be the better pitcher then any
I was there for game 7. The videos bring back the chills. Yesterday, drove to Stl and saw the cards get shutout against the Royals 7-0. I had a blast. I just love being at that park. When I'm there I'm a kid again❤ #12in23
Just saw the weatherman at the end of the clip predicting a foot of snow for the Northeast! That storm actually knocked our power out for 10 days. Thanks for reminding me!
Texas had us beat so many times in ''11'' series and seemingly coming back from dead in regular season. Cards kept battling back, time and time again Time to win # 12 in 20 and start the decade out right!
As a Texas Rangers fan this still hurts. Especially Game 6. That team just wouldn't die! This will sting until the Rangers win a World Series, which may be a while at this point.
There were many gleeful Cardinal fans, but almost none moreso than my buddy and I. That June, I had converted from the Red Sox to the Cardinals, against his advice. At the time, the Cards were going nowhere in a hurry, best they could hope for was a draft lottery pick. BoSox were a world series contender. August came around, he warned me about switching over. Then came the unlikely winning streak in September to clinch the unlikeliest playoff spot and he was already eating his words (and it tasted good). And we haven't seen nothing yet. Not one, not two, but three series won as the underdog, huge underdogs. It's the baseball equivalent to Miracle on Ice.
As a baseball fan, this run was incredible to watch; as a fan who has seen every MLB team in person, the fact that Cardinal Nation’s joy left the Braves fan subspecies crying in their cells makes this a case where Good triumphed over Evil.
Let's be honest, the Cardinals won the World Series on Freese's walk-off dinger in game six. That broke the Rangers' hearts. Game seven was just a formality.
I'm so glad Nolan Ryan and the Rangers got it in '23. So tough what happened in 2011. I'm from STL and I'm a lifelong birds fan. I just know how brutal that was for the rangers. I was so happy to see them get that chip in '23. Well deserved. Sorry about 2011. Not sorry. 😊 All in good sport.
youtube it is may. why are you recommending me this reminding me my team has never won a world series, is 21-14 right now, and is on pace to finish 88-74
I can only imagine how nerve racking and saddening it would be to get up to bat in game 7 of the world series your team is down with 2 outs in the top of the 9th and to hit a flyout, ugh thats tough
"What a team... What a ride... The Cardinals are World Champs!" Gets me everytime

A great day for us Cardinal Fans 👍👍🙂
Oliver Marcos same
A depressing day for Rangers fans 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Best world series we will ever see in our lives
Worst for a Rangers fan
Careful with that. idk how old you are, but I don't want that to be true for the next 50 ish years....

I was in the crowd for Game 6. Best night of my life
I was there too! I was 23, and the emotional ride of game 6 was insane. I couldn't sleep that night, I was too amped.
Game 6 and 7 will go down as the greatest days in Cardinal Nation History
I am so happy the blues were able to win, but this world series will always be my favorite sports memory of all time
I both cases you could point out several great moments that were special, but with both teams there was so much adversity and doubt.....What a Ride!!!

Joe Buck actually is a Cardinals fan, must have been awesome for him to call this
Rick Nash yeah St. Louis is where his father was broadcaster for a while (joe was also for a bit)
I mean the name "Buck" will always be associated with the Cardinals from Jack to his son Joe.
I watch this once a week. Nothing beats the look of pure joy.
