This barber is the kind that you go once and exit the place with a haircut and a friend.
I like that 👍
@@reddevils2052 Mourinho in! Kappa

Yup really chill guy
Humberto Junior s
this guy knows what he wants and how to say it. im jealous.
Jesse Smith I’m so jealous, I wish i knew excatly what to get
R u talking about the guy getting the haircut?
It’s not that hard just tell them like you want a 1 on the sides and a hard part and cut an inch on top and if you want to get the back tapered
Jesse Smith I usually just tell me barber “Have you seen Chris Evans’ hair?”
Not difficult to do if you know your barber 👍
He did a great job
This comment is worth the most. You a boss, man. Too bad that I don't see you under any other videos. Well..., I don't blame you. 😋
this comment holds a lot of weight for me...i learned barbering techniques from this guy...
and jeezy lol
I was thinking to myself half way through the video "man I wonder what bossio would have done & if he watches this." shieettttt
Boss man with the Support!
Now we are talking. He went from 40 year old dad to 24 year old college student
Well said,he did look old in the start
Am pretty sure he is actually 24
Went from “son can u help me with the lawn” to “can u send me the bio notes?” When u don’t have the girls number
24 year old college student?!
@@ulysses4989 How old are college students
@@AI-zo7gx Depends but average is like 24
Really enjoyed listening to the barber, young man with a wise head
Ricky was such an awesome guy to talk with, I really look forward to filming more videos with him if he's game.
- Jack
@@Beardbrand i wanted to suggest to add him to more barber videos! He seems like a really dope guy!
My guy turned into a ceo 👏👏👏 great cut
Was going to comment asking you to, really enjoyed him @@Beardbrand
Lol young man? Are you an old pensioner.
This is weird but as a woman, I find These kind of videos sooo relaxing to watch. A good glass of wine and barber shop video makes my day!
Same girl! Idk what it is. Its like ASMR to me.
Same but I don't drink lol
Saaameeeee.
Your easily pleased lol.
Same!! I enjoy watching this type of videos but cringe at the beard part all the time, adams apple😟😟
These types of barbers are hard to come across they truly take the word barber and give it so much more meaning, this is art. Good job man
4:16 was the moment where he was like you do what you want i trust you. Barber really made him feel relaxed and comfortable
Dude in all of the videos you’ve ever posted this is the best your hair and beard have looked and I never thought I’d say that with such a short hairstyle
Agree brother
I personally love this style! Ricky was an incredibly talented barber and awesome guy to talk to.
- Jack
@@Beardbrand Your fade looks good as well
The only thing that looked bad was the hard part. But hey, that's about personal preference
Agreed!!!
Honestly loved listening to the casual conversation between the barber and jack, maybe that could be done more often in the future?
That’s definitely what I’m aiming to do with these American barbershop videos
- Jack
13:37 looks like gibby from icarly just came for a haircut...
Underrated comment, lmao
HAAA
I'm done😂🤣
Lmao !
Im dead😂😂😂😂😂😂
Love the left hand tattoo- “I pray the Lord my soul to keep”
I came i saw i came i saw
That was the most enjoyable of all videos just because of the barber and how honest and down to earth he was. Would like to see more of him from now on
11:20 phewf that was a close call
That reaction tho
ExeKuTioN Cro yeap pulled away as soon as he starting talking lol 😂
Gotta get used to them moving targets😂
Lincoln Bruce 😂😂
zRoH lmao dude yes. That’s why I don’t talk at all when they’re messing with my beard lol
8:38 always the best part of a haircut. Feel amazing
Agreed!
Mahesh, should take notes... now that's a damned good and clean haircut. Made him look like he's actually fresh from the barber. Cleaned up his neck perfectly. Now that's a true master barber and he is still young. This is the definition of taking care of your costumers and respecting them.
Beetlejuice Agree, but, in Mahesh's defense, Jack went in with a lot of hair to cut off, the guys in UK usually have pretty short hair to start...its the contrast from start to finish...just saying, but it is a great cut!
@@gracegeek4678 I love this haircut and barber. That should not make a difference, bro. And I have seen plenty of videos where Mahesh, had to deal with a lot of hair. But that should make zero difference. Look at the differences between this: "Before and After" and the ones of, Mahesh. HUGE difference, this one is that, "Fresh from the barber look" I miss that with, Mahesh. The lack of a clean neck, is unbearable. I really like how he handles the beards, though! Take care!
Beetlejuice ! I think they go for a different style in the states vs over the pond mate
Isn’t it more about responding to the customer? In this case Jack asked for more of a traditional cut with hard lines.. of which there are plenty of in this cut.. Not necessarily what Mahesh was cutting previously..
@@sloemost5809 I'm referring to the clean ups. Mahesh, just goes over it with the detailers very quick and that's it... No straight razor, no shaving cream..., why? He is a "master barber," right? He leaves the neck full of stubble. Why would you do that? I love that feeling of it being super smooth after visiting the barber. Why would you let your costumer leave, looking like he got a cut, a week a go. The fades are awful, but they will just shout: "THIS IS NOT A FADE!" While... it actually says it in the title and he even says it in the video, that it's a fade, but he goes straight in to defence mode and feels attacked when criticized. He is good when it comes to beards and simple haircuts on older men. Other then that, not good. He is a very nice guy though. But he can't handle criticism, he attacked me when I did so. I didn't curse or any of that. Just said what he could work on. Even said that he is a nice guy, that he is good with the beards and that I like his tattoos, but he attacked me and talked down on me. But it's all good though.
how yall so social?💀 i be silent the whole time im getting my hair cut shit be awkward

I’m the same way 😂

Eugenest LMAO. Do you have curly hair or straight hair?
Great attitude from the barber, you can see he has a real passion for what he is doing. I hope he gets all the credit he deserves. Best of luck, Mr Barber!!
Best barber I've seen so far on this channel. Very nice haircut!
Mladen Jerkic my favorite is the barber from Philadelphia, don’t remember his name but he’s all tatted up also

M T that’s it thanks 👍
Ricky was awesome. It seems like he's quickly become a lot of people's favorite.
- Jack
The conversation/walkthrough of each step coupled with the cut itself made this my favourite video so far.
What a cool humble guy. It’s great how he talks a bout his journey and letting go of his ego. You can imagine in 10 or 20 years time he will still be talking about how he is learning. People could learn a lot from him.
The barber could have a CZcams channel he seems to be good at speaking with the camra and stuff
Simple and clean
So fresh and so clean!
- Jack
Go stros
my puto got mad skill - this is the difference when a barber doesn't have ego and learns properly!
What does puto mean in your context? Because in Spanish it means extremely gay🤣
@beardbrand jack this look is FANTASTIC. i loved the barber's personality and how you interacted with him. been watching you guys for about a year and he's easily one of the best barber's i have seen featured. keep it up, my dudes!
I'M NEW TO BARBERING AND THIS VIDEO (ESPECIALLY RICKY'S RUNNING COMMENTARY ON HIS TECHNIQUE) WAS REALLY HELPFUL! KIND OF INSPIRING ACTUALLY... THANKS GUYS!
I thought the before look so incredible I wondered why this man was seeking a haircut. Until I saw the cut and the result. Masterful, and an equally fine look, just different.
Lol. Enjoy having hair. I shave my aging head. But I do get to enjoy my growing, whitening beard.
I'm finally getting my length to my beard back.. It's almost back to the length it was before I had the mishap with the clippers and bumped into the side of my beard and had to even it out but that was over 2 months ago and it's pretty well back to the length it was.. Atleast it's all one length now it looks a little crooked because of the wave on one side.. It grows straight on one side but has a wave that causes it to flip upwards until it gets longer than its easier to keep it straight.. Definitely want to start using products in it like beard and moustache wax.. I've been letting my moustache grow out with the beard.. I never really liked beards before.. I always shaved my neck and wore a short beard or chin strap or pencil beards so the yeard was definitely a change for someone who wore a shaved face for years
"let go of my ego and ask questions" from experience thst is the best advice you can get to succeed
Awesome haircut. Fantastic barber talking to your clients is so important. It helps them relax. As a barber myself with over 40 years expierence. I can tell you that you did everything on point!
Been watching these forever. This dude has the most skill I've seen so far.
Ricky definitely knows his stuff!

Used to live in South Austin. This was my spot. Can't recommend this place enough. Great barbers!
Absolutely, great guys at this shop!

Idk why but i’m smiling throughout this whole vid, listening to their positive conversation
Barbershop videos are so satisfying to watch
I don't know why but This is so relaxing to watch😅😅
Talented young man, he did an outstanding job
Really liked how the barber did Jacks cheek line. Looks perfect for his beard. It appears a little lower which takes away from bald spot outside the sides of his mustache. Great beard none the less
Wow, this is your best beard trim ever! With a little more length but same cut it would looks even more badass. The hair goes well too! Love the videos with you Jack :)
Love that look!!! I was rocking that same look for a few years till about 5 months ago when i started growing the beard out! Looks great--- almost makes me wanna goto barber and cut the hair and beard!! Almost lol
Big fan, no matter what length hair or beard your rockin brother.
Wow 😍 soon it's gonna be 1 million subscribers 😘
Congrats in advance ❤❤❤
I used a picture of this haircut to get my hair cut, it’s my favorite haircut ever, thank you
Glad to see you back, Jack
Great Job Mate! Wassup from Brazil 🇧🇷 🇧🇷 🇧🇷
11:20 - CLOSE CALL! Haha. Amazing cut, btw. Looks great!
WOW, Ricky Hernandez did a fantastic job cutting his hair and trimming his beard! Jack looks very sharp!
I honestly like guests/clients that say "I put the trust in your hands" and are very laid back it says that you can easily consult them on the process
I'd love my hair cut by this chap. Great job & cool guy to boot...!

What a great haircut! It was cool listening to this barber share a bit of his journey in the business and how he developed his techniques. In the end, Jack left the chair looking sharp!
Definitely, I'm really glad that Ricky was so open about everything from cutting hair to cracking jokes. He was a natural on camera.
- Jack
Looking great, my friend! And, as many have already said, this kid really knows what he's doing. He deserves every bit of recognition he gets.
Really great cut 👍. This might be your best look jack
Definitely the best hair cut for you yet. IMO. I rock a similar cut but with a low drop fade
Man Austin seems to have such down to earth people
This barber killed it and seemed like a decent guy. More of him please 👍🏼
This is the best cut I've seen on here n he's a rookie. But he hit all the marks tho. Good job.
This channel has literally had the slowest climb to 1 million subscribers I've ever seen.
Great cut! If I still had a full head of hair like that, this is the exact style I would rock. I may need to visit this barber shop the next time I am down in ATX. Great work.
I love the style, haircut and beard trim with shaved lines.
He looked awesome and handsome .
Jack get a haircut. He is well transformed and cleaned
@ 4:40 I think my dude looks just like Tom Brady with those facial expressions!

Man you just have to love this barber!
My guy in Austin completely changed your look man. That before and after great! I'll have to make a trip to Austin and check this shop out
That's was a clean cut. But it seemed like he went quite a bit shorter than jack had in mind
For sure. The guy said he wanted to keep it long because of his hairline, and the guy did a cut that highlighted it.
Apple Kuise to be fair when he gets home washes and repositions it, it won’t look as obvious, but yeah he did take probable a week too much of hair off
and jack was like a depressed dude just sittn there not minding anything, he didn't even bother to say anything, he even told the barber when he asked him about his sideburns "idk man whats your opinion, i trust you" so there you go
Lol exactly...thats what happens when i get a haircut. Have a hairline like Jack's and i always say about keeping the top thick and dont cut the fringe maybe trim it just. But its like reverse psycology they fkn do it anyway. Lol
You didn’t listen, he said he wanted a haircut where he could push it back with pomade, with a hard part. He got what he wanted.
13:39 Gibby from icarly in the back MIRIN
This is me after quarantine.
Obvious, why this video is given to me now.
That barber was such a cool dude! Wish I lived down in that area, would love for him to cut my hair. He did such a great job!
Man, Jack you should have gone with the mullet. It would have looked dope!
Man this mullet encouragement has to stop.
I don't think he would be able to pull it off
Come on man.It looks ugly and dirty. Its just not good hairstyle
Haha hell yeah
Eric Bandholz then he better buy an IrocZ aswell
I really like Ricky. He has a passion for his craft. I hope you do more barbershop videos with him.
I love the content on this channel! Nothing like a good trim to make you feel renewed!
11:20 was Godlike reflexes
Ricky saved my beard right there.
- Jack
He should of tapered the back but that’s just my preference I don’t like the line in the back
I agree. As a barber myself I think that a square off neck cheapens the haircut. It makes it look like he got a haircut at sports clips. That being said, it's always what the client wants first! This was a clean cut, even if I would have done it different
Early in the video, Jack requested the squared look in the back. The Barber has to honor what his client wants.
@@paulvollmer4215
Yeah blocked necklines always look trash.
When it grows out it will look shitty, tapered neck gives a more natural look, which grows out without looking wack
Zone 86 the barber did ask at the start how he wanted it and he asked for squared
AshH 96 what I’m saying is the client should of said tapered the barber should of suggested tapered as well
I love this style. Thanks for this video. Now I can show this to my barber and say, "like this."
Now that was a good experience , had to watch the whole thing the barber was cool and the haircut was pretty nice. sick transformation
A lot of times whenever I've gotten haircuts they do something I didn't ask for. "I want it over my eyes" (as in covering my eyes) and they go "oh over your eyes?" and cut it really short.
Is this a joke or something? Well of course it's not like GTA where you can go in bald than have long hair
Classic.
Awesome job man have a great day yall
I’ve been waiting for this video!
Great cut and an awesome neckline. But why do barbers (not just this one) insist on squaring off a beard from the sideburn to the jawline? Should have followed the natural growth of the beard back toward the ear, IMO.
Good point bro. Its kinda natural to do it for most barbers on people with slender like jawlines. It makes the jawline stand out more. Doesnt work for people with full faces though. On people like that always leave it as full as possible. But yea the full beard line is more 🔥 though
I don't get that either. But it's not my beard, so not my problem lol
He asked for a harsh line at the beginning
I know with mine if i dont cut my hair and let my beard grow both will connect under my ears lol
Forget the haircut, that roley look very very nice
It's an Invicta, still a nice watch though :)
@@Bav_ what model from Invicta it was? Black+gold case ?
Mariusz Grudziński invicta pro diver black/gold :)

Great job and great conversation!
Man is the champ for communicating with the barber
Thank god he lined up your beard when the hair goes too high on the cheek it kinda annoys me
When it's too low it doesn't look good either
This guy went from 30 odd years old to 25 in just 15 minutes😱
What an AMAZEBALLS cut and video!!!
Probably the chillest barber ever featured in a BeardBrand video
The haircut was great but he should have trimmed up those jacked up eyebrows

At 2 minutes my eyes were on his timepiece😻😻dope!!
awesome transformation great barber.
He reminds me of Henry Cavill [Superman]
Can’t wait until a video titled “My First Hair Cut in 4 Years” cause of Covid-19/CoronaVirus
One of the best cuts Iv seen on CZcams. Nice to see something other then a skin fade
This video really shows strong communication between the client and barber. Really good video here guys!
I'm not really a fan of a silent haircut, so, whenever I get the chance, I like to talk with my barbers.
Our goal was to feature a more personable look at a barber shop experience with this one. Glad you enjoyed it!
- Jack
Excellent Jack, really stylish. Minor thing only... I allways add small radius instead sharp jaw corner, it gives more natural look.
Filip Grzetic I think the sharp corner is the way to go. After a few days of growth it still looks good, without growing into that rounded space. But it’s definitely a preference.
This is your new regular barber now, right? Turned out awesome.
I'll definitely be paying regular visits to Ricky and this shop in the future. The owner, the barbers, and the atmosphere at this shop were all great!
- Jack
Fabulous cut! Stay with this guy! Would suggest you let him taper or fade the back with no line. Most guys are doing that these days!
He’s so chill
Loved this cut, looked so nice and flattered the customer so much.
Why does this men remember me of Arthur Morgan (Red dead)
