What my late mom used to say to us kids was " only the living can hurt you , leave your fear behind " I found comfort in her words still to this day , be brave.
For the most part she’s very right & only what we accept as danger can then become dangerous. At least paranormally. But sadly there are true demons out there. I lived in a truly haunted house myself and I just wanted to say your mom’s words brought me some comfort.
Went through a pair of underwear when that knocking began! I typically don’t frighten easily, but that is a major attachment you have! This is a very strong entity, that won’t leave easily.

You know, I know this is going to sound completely nuts but the more you ignore it/treat it like some sort of freak, the more shit happens am I right? I’ve discovered that poltergeists tend to do what they do for attention. They’re frustrated that you’re not paying attention to them. Does this all not seem like attention seeking behaviour…..? Maybe if you spoke to it like you would a member of your family you might find it calms things down. I was told I was living with a spirit that I knew I felt, but I was in denial about. It did things like turn the taps on whilst we were in the shower to burn us and just other small things. So once we knew who he was, every morning I would come down, open the curtains and tell him good morning. I would say goodnight every night. And weirdly enough all of the strange occurrences stopped. And the weird feeling that I was always being watched stopped too.

I know this is probably a stupid question, but have you even called a priest to have an exorcism done on the house and on you at all? I'm only asking because the banging intervals are usually in 3s, and that means it's demonic... also, you moved to a new house, and it followed in other words it's attached to you. If you can, get the help necessary to be rid of it.
