Great! Look forward to that. We were down in SP and Cayo in Feb. The owners of Roadkill have been using our lots as a dumping ground for their trash. So pissed! Hopefully Town Council will be able to help us with the problem. We also bought a 3/4 of an acre over in Santa Familia, Cayo. Lots of exciting things happening in Belize, and a great time to invest.

HMMM The ,Lots with all that fill dirt ,so how deep is bedrock ,because if you dont set your footing at bedrock level all those homes will settle ,and more importantly. you must have sewer systems-cause the lots are to small for septic systems- Belize is so low in elevation impossible to treat sewer waste, and any areas in Belize with private septic systems will fail., because of the high water table,AS a builder,I have seen to many customers just looking at what the can see ,and not looking or thinking about what they cant seeThink about that
A direct hit from a Cat 4 hurricane would probably cause a storm surge to wipe this barrier island clean. I would not mind vacationing on this island before a hurricane, but I would never risk/invest my money buying any of the properties on this island. Maybe a reinforced concrete home fitted with steel storm shutters and located at a higher elevation on the mainland would survive a direct hit from a hurricane. But it could take the government of Belize years raise the money to restore the two-lane roads and electric power lines in a heavily damaged mainland area.
It’s a risk that people take when deciding to live in a coastal area similar to concerns one would have about building a home in Florida (USA). For comparison, hurricanes in the Gulf tend to be more severe than hurricanes in the Atlantic belt. Belize is inside the Atlantic.

All homes are set to bedrock. Approximately 12 feet below the surface level.
Also the community is hooked up to the local utilities
