Today at the shop, Dyno-Dave investigates the Star Racing 30/30 cam for our 2023 Road Glide Limited shop bike, GoldenRod! JD's Cycle Works is located at 6146 Sullivan Trail, Nazareth PA, 18064.
Looks to be a nice cam. I've got the Screamin' Eagle 122 stage 3 installed last year on my 2021 street glide special last year and I Would like to get a bit more of it without having to change the valve springs, do you think this cam is a great choice or you have a better recommandation for this engine?
I have current have a torque cam from Harley. The my dyno numbers are about 103 hp and 120 tq. I have Khrome Werks 2-1. Thinking about the 30/30. I do like the response i get l while riding. I ride at maybe a between 3000 -3500 rpm on the hwy. You think it will be much different response/feel with the 30/30 Your vids are great!

Just purchase a 24 road glide 117. I ride mainly between 2000 and 3500 rpm. Had a s&s 475 in my last bike being a 107. Whats your recommendation for the 117? Thanks!

This cam (as well as a few others) would be a great enhancement on what you currently have.

Hello Dave. I have a 114, stage 2 kit with SE HP cam. D&D 2to1, also a Thundermax.. would you recommend this cam or the f35a cam.

star 485 or andrews 485.....witch one comes in faster with most torque?
Are you making 5th or 6th gear pulls?

If you focus on lower rpms and never go above 4500, I would choose one of the cams that produces more low end torque

Hey Dave, got a question this star 30/30 cam is it a bolt it or does it require valve springs to be changed?
Yes this cam will work with the stock valve springs.

Do think this cam would be good for 128 m8 motor
This cam in a 128 will come on real hard but will not be produce big top end numbers. The bigger engine makes the cam smaller.
