- Cobb has released an Air Oil Separator kit for the Ford Focus ST that works by feeding the oil vapors back into the crank case behind the PCV plate so clean air can fee back into the intake. So if you are tired of emptying your catch cans, this new system keeps your vented air clean and doesn't need to be cleaned.

In for the install video
Sooo like a catch can but you don’t have to empty it because it recirculates. That’s actually really convenient.
Intro animation is 🔥
I'll be getting one of these!
Best place to tune your rides .
Legit just ordered this from you guys this morning and then you make a video the same day..go figure 😂
It was about time the algorithm did something about this... I can finally remove the coffee can with the steel sponge from under the hood! I've been making a lot of "cappuccino" this winter.
Nothing like a frothy brew on an early morning
@@EdgeAutosport Always, no argument from me there.
Keep it up!
Seems pretty awesome. I was going to do a blast this spring and install a catch can after that, but perhaps this is the better option.
Fairly noob question here, but why is recirculating the gunk into the crankcase okay? Rather than it accumulating on the valves, it will accumulate in the crankcase - is there no negative to that? It just gets burned off?
The gunk you are referring to is a slurry of oil and air. As it travels back to the bottom of the system and back into the engine, the air separates and all that is left is oil.
@@EdgeAutosport Makes sense. So does that mean any time I do an oil change, all that debris and gunk gets released?
@@RthereNEusernames Makes you kinda just want a catch can instead of dumping the "air/oil" mix back into your crankcase. Convenience always comes at a cost.
I’ve been waiting for this videos since Cobb brought this. Please do an install video.
Say no more fam. #StayTuned
Can you do an install video on the ST?
If it becomes an easy opportunity, we might. But we don't have anything in line right now.
@@EdgeAutosporty’all can do an install on my ST. I’ll take one for the team :). Haha
Cool product!
How much does it cost?
How long does it takes to install? Is it difficult to install?
How does it compares to catch cans in costs, install difficulty and overall design?
We usually don't refer to costs in videos because costs change over time. But you can check this out on our site, it's currently $395. This would put it as more expensive than most other catch cans. However, it's not a catch can. How long it takes and how difficult it is to install are somewhat subjective based on your mechanical skill level. Since we haven't installed it ourselves yet, it's tough to answer the rest of your questions. Based on my experience, I can't imagine it being that crazy of an install. But that's me. I think if you watch the video closely enough, it explains the difference in overall design. If it's not a good enough explanation, we'd be happy to give you more details over email or a phone call. Thanks!
@@EdgeAutosportthanks a lot for the detailed answer 👍 ❤

Install video Please!!!!!!!!
Any more 2022+ WRX content ??
What did you have in mind?
@@EdgeAutosport tuning videos, see how far you can push the car. Maybe installing parts. Same content you do for other cars. I was just asking cause you guys had a video of the exhaust and I think yall mentioned more videos coming. But haven’t seen another one.
So… Can I run this instead of the Radium Plate and Catch Cans which is recommended by BNR for the 67 & 71
It is designed to do the same job as a catch can, and the build quality is similar to Radium as JP mentioned.
@@EdgeAutosport amazing… Ordering this RIGHT NOW!!!!!!! 👊🏾
First
Second
Do you have to run one or the other or can you run both?
Theoretically you could run both, but it's a bit redundant.
It’s a freaking pain to install, lol
Where can I get this?
