This video was accidentally used as part of a voice comparsion of The Prince from Snow White. It briefly replaced Harry Stockwell's voice when the voice comparison came out as I think in April Fools Joke. 1:56
@Lovelytenor1 I don't think singing it half step down would have help regardless. He made uneased/insecure approach on the F. That led to misplacement for the high C. Plus, you don't know if you have to lower the key until you are in the middle of the aria.
@Lovelytenor1 I think this is a different case. I didn't detact any discomfort in his singing through out the whole aira. His voice sounds silky as it gets. Maybe little bit in the back, that might have been the factor. People loved your lowered key becasue you are not Mr. Pavarotti. Expectation to prove himself and expectation from the audience were greater.
@Lovelytenor1 What is your voice got to do with a discussion on Pav's crack. You are right for saying,"Any tenor......prove himself' I can name very few tenors who sound prettier than Pav though. If you say you are, I don't want to judge. But it's wrong of you to compare/relate this incident with yours. It's just a human mistake and I am sure Pav did his best to avoid making the same mistake again on this particular high C.
It doesn't get better than this.
