What's up everybody! We just started a SECOND channel for EXCLUSIVELY wrestling content. Please subscribe here: czcams.com/channels/-Jrydlgrwp3NM3lxkZ5qkg.html
There will still be the Sunday video on the main channel here, but this is a channel for MORE wrestling! Thanks everyone. - John and Dante, The Mustache Bros.
I had the idea of
"Guess The Wrestler by there FIRST Name"
Lmao sting and warrior were a tag team lmao
Dante's old Gimmick as a Seth Rollins cosplayer to now a Dashing Cody Rhodes cosplayer is my favorite gimmick change
Yeah, the Dante "Dos Belts" gimmick is really catchy
Haha foreshadowing Cody vs Seth
"Dashing" Cody Rhodes didn't have the mustache, and that's not the type of mustache he had back with Damian Sandow.
@@user-fe8gx3ie5v Yeah. Mustachioed Magnificence.
I would love to see guess the wrestler by their close up image like a close up of their clothes or certain feature keep up the amazing videos
Steal a bit from quizzlemania: who's nips are those
That is an AWESOME idea!
That's a great idea 💡👍
Or maybe by like their attire?
"Guess the wrestler by their penis"
Fun fact about Sexton Hardcastle - he was credited as appearing in a Highlander movie as that name.
Yet was promoted on WWE TV as "Edge is in the new Highlander movie..."
@@kurtpaulsen6579 WWE has revisionist history
I recall the opening credits using Adam Copeland, at least for the home video release.
@@derangel9143 I remember the end credits using Sexton Hardcastle. It's been a bit since I've seen it, though.
Edit: I remember the end credits from when I watched it on TV years ago saying that, but they had to have just changed it when he became a big name for them.
edge has also had a shirt with that name on the network shpw he and christan had
Sting and Warrior broke into wrestling together. Sting talks about it in his Player Tribune article, y’all should read it if you get a chance.
7:27 Black Tiger II was Eddie Guerrero's gimmick while in Japan in the early to mid 90's.
A little bit of Japanese pro wrestling lore, there are two masked gimmicks that are passed down from one wrestler to another, Tiger Mask and Black Tiger. They are counterparts to each other in that both wear tiger based masks, but Tiger Mask is always portrayed by a Japanese wrestler, while Black Tiger was portrayed by a non-Japanese one. Classically, they are always adversaries
And Ricochet did wrestle as Tiger Mask Black vs Tiger Mask White (Kota Ibushi) at a Wrestle Kingdom some years back, so a really good guess
wasnt misawa the 2nd tiger mask?
@@BoneSoldier666 Yes
these are also the inspirations for King and Armor King from Tekken, for anyone that cares
Dante's win feels like a win via rollup coming off of a distraction
Edit: A win nonetheless. 😂
The most devastating move in *AAAAALL* of sports entertainment!
@@AscendedXSaiyan I think even though that's the win, it still deserves an up cause the match was still so entertaining
@@AscendedXSaiyan gotta give your comment a Golden Up!
Those Blade Runner Rock guesses after Sting being Blade Runner Flash were painful 🤣
You know you've watched an obscene amount of wrestling throughout your lifetime, when you remember ECW's Roadkill😅🤣
I’ve always known him as Amish Roadkill so that one was an easy one for me
In mind my I knew who roadkill was but I couldn’t remember his name
I liked Roadkill and Danny Doring they where a good tag team. The 1st time i saw Roadkill walking the top rope was crazy.
@@be11end I like Danny Doring as a wrestler but him as a person, after watching shoot interviews with him, he seems to be a terrible terrible person.
@@ingaspingas1 he seems very abrasive but Im not going to lie, it's entertaining as hell hearing him talk.
I actually knew Blade Runner Rock. Wasnt the name that gave it away. When we saw Blade Runner Flash was Sting....I knew the answer as remembered the two once were a team
thanks to OSW for me noing the blade runner names
This is the exact same way I got it. I knew that Sting and Warrior were a tag team but I forgot what the name of the team was.
Warrior and Sting were a tag team known as the Blade Runners before they became stars in WCW and WWE.
Yeah I think that was when they worked for Bill Watts in Mid-South they had that gimmick.
So I didn’t know who blade runner flash is but when they showed blade runner rock I immediately said ultimate warrior coz I knew sting and him used to be teammates
Same
I know someone already suggested this awhile back, but I would LOVE to see a tier list of all the wwf/wwe games
You mentioned tag team belts, and I thought about how awesome it would be to have the two of you go up against other channels. Imagine the two of you against Oli and Luke from Wrestletalk. (Or any combo from there.) Or you could go up against other channels like Cultaholic, WhatCulture Wrestling, or others.
That would be pretty cool imo
I really do dig your guys' wrestling related content, it popped up in my recommended and was the reason I subscribed haha
I enjoy you guys doing this every Sunday. It’s something I always look forward to and love playing along with you guys. Great stuff guys. Keep on wrestling
Suggestion for next "Guess The Wrestler By" game,
Guess The Wrestler by Their Old Theme Song, very simple, but may be challenging.
Tie counts as a disqualification or double count out and the title stays with the champ only way to win the title is by winning the game overall 🔥🔥
lol at him stuttering saying Matt Morgan's name
I was two ahead before Sterling Golden threw me. I didn't know Leakee so that dragged me back to one ahead, but the Blade Runners increased the my lead to three. I also knew The Angry Amish Warrior, but I didn't know The Blueprint.
I love the work you guys do! Keep up the hard work!
The Roadkill one is pretty rough if you're not familiar with some of the more obscure ECW wrestlers. Definitely a pretty deep cup pull.
Which is kinda funny when you consider he was a world tag team champion over there
@@tafua_a A lot of people held titles in ECW that are pretty obscure now. Especially once most of the talent that are thought of when you think of ECW had left for WCW and WWF.
You guys should guess the wrestling attires next week...
That Sterling Golden tripped me up. Love these vids.
Same!
Scott Carpenter is a tough one, technically was for a show that never aired called Wrestling Retribution Project in 2011, MVP, Luke Gallows, Colt Cabana, Alex Reynolds, The Amazing Red, Dr. Luther, Ken Doann, Sami Callihan,l, Shawn Daivari, Emil Sitoci, Ben Muth, Mike Rollins, Karl Anderson, Joey Ryan, Pat Buck, actress Tricia LaFeche, Timothy Thatcher and Kevin Matthews were all involved under new names. Started by Hollywood producer Jeff Katz, WRP never saw the light of day till 2020 when Katz released the content online. Chris Jericho revealed later to Omega on “Talk is Jericho” that he was a silent partner of WRP.
For Blade Runner Rock, my brain said "Tony Schiavone". :P
Skip Sheffield and Husky Harris were both in Nexus
;)
I love this one, please continue this game. Fun to see them guess ones I know and kick myself for the ones I don’t know
FBI- Full Blooded Italians...Tag Team Name...😀...Sophie can be your manager...😜
The Angry Amish Warrior 😂
I'd love to see a part 2 for this, as there are plenty of older gimmicks for the better known WWE/TNA/AEW guys that might be tricky.
The mustache brothers!!!
Géant Ferré is such a great name. Andre went by it early in his career when he was starting out in france, Its french for "Iron Giant" , but also a play on words. There was an old french folk hero story of a peasant who was immensely strong, called "Le Grand Ferre" he was so strong he was able to single-handedly help the small village of Picady from english mercinaries attempting to sack the village during the 100 years war. He was often depicted as a giant with a large axe, swinging it at a group of english soldiers.
yeah Sexton Hardcastle was Edge's persona in the canadian independent circuit
'The blueprint' Matt Morgan for the W! lmao, great video guys!
For “Sexton Hardcastle” I thought about Val Venis as well 😂😂 it’s only because of his sex gimmick. Shoutout to Dante 🐐
Funny that, since Val Venis was engaged to Edge's sister around the time both superstars started in the Attitude Era. Also, Sean Morley (the man behind Val Venis / Chief Morley) trained with Edge & Christian and Andrew "Test" Martin before their WWE debuts.
Alright !!!! I'm feeling good !!!! I just watched your vid about guessing aew guys names , part 3 I think , and got most of them !! That my first vid I've seen on your channel . Subscribed . I'd like to go live !!!! One day against y'all lol !! Depending on the topic heh heh . Love the channel ! Let's see how I do here . I got a good feeling boys !!!! Lol !!!
Géant (with the accent) is the French word for Giant. (remember that André was French)
And "Ferre" sounds like "Fury", so basically "Géant Férre" is basically a rough but easy translation of "Giant Fury", which suited Andre's genuine stature & Larger-Than-Life presence.
Let’s goooooooooooo absolutely love ur vids I wait patiently everyday
Roadkill was a wrestler for ECW back in the 90s. He was trained by Taz and Perry Saturn. Him and Danny Doring were the final ECW Tag champs when the promotion folded in 2000. Roadkill and Doring were managed by Lita for a very brief time until Lita was hired by WWE. Roadkill only made afew appearances with wwe, working dark matches to promote the ECW reunion show One Night Stand 2005
The Blade Runner really made me pop, I knew they were a tag team before going to seperate companies but didn't knew they went by Flash and Rock. So guessing Sting as Flash really made my day!
I was taking guesses with you two and was tied at 8 until we got to the blade runners.
Gotta love it the final question was a "tna" question.. tna love!
Actually, it was also a WWE question too, since Matt Morgan was in WWE during the mid-'00s after Brock Lesnar left and basically stole Lesnar's F5 finisher and had a stuttering gimmick, but was still given "The Blueprint" moniker by the ringside commentators.
I managed to get all the questions right . Even Roadkill who was in ECW . I even remember that Edge was briefly in WCW as Damon Striker .
Wow - that was intense. Like "hell in a cell"-like intense. Even the winner left something behind in the ring.
I got 17 Right. Hogan, Omega and Roadkill stumped me and got confused which was Warrior and which was Sting lol Love these!
Only one I didn't get was Kenny Omega. Great video fellas!
Hearing them brainstorm over Roadkill made me cry...
Man, I love these videos!
Love to see a og TNA wrestler thrown in at the end there
Here are some ideas:
Guess the wrestler by the match - for example XXX vs Shawn Michaels unifying the Intercontinental Championships (Razor Ramon)
OR Guess the wrestler by the MOMENT in a match - for example XXX hanging on the belt in the air and then speared by Edge (Jeff Hardy)
OR, Guess the match by the finish - for example Body Slam, big ovation, finisher, 1-2-3 (Hulk Hogan vs André the Giant Wrestlemania 3)
i’m 19 years old and this is the only youtube channel that makes me expect and wait for their new videos and i wouldn’t want it any other way
Congrats on 100k!!!!!
This videos make me realize how young you guys are. I knew all except Roman, Becky, and Scott Carpenter. Oh, and Angry Amish Warrior.
The Amish Warrior got me lol.
9:06 Sting was in a tag team with Jim Helwig (prior to Jim becoming Ultimate Warrior) where they were known as the Blade Runners. Helwig was Blade Runner Rock while Sting was Blade Runner Flash and later Blade Runner Sting
I ended up with 15. Hogan, Sting, Kenny Omega, and Eddie threw me for a loop and I didn't get Matt Morgan out before they did. (I knew it I just needed a moment to remember because the first place my brain went was Sasha Banks.)
These people better never let me near their trivia pool though because I'd throw in ones like Erin O'Grady, Gixx, and Stevie McFly.
(It'd be hilarious if they actually got Stevie now that we finally have a photo of him!)
Roadkill, the answer to the first rapid fire question, was 1/2 of the last ECW tag champs with Danny Doring. His gimmick was, I believe, originally called Amish Roadkill. His wikipedia page named an even worse gimmick that you probably would never have gotten, 'The Angry Amish Chicken Plucker".
Skip Sheffield and Husky Harris Wade Barratt and Daniel Bryan as well were all in Nexus. There may have been another successful singles wrestler in that but those 4 were in Nexus.
Love y'all's videos🤘
Warrior and Sting were a tag team as the Blade Runners when they started out in Memphis, but according to Sting a misunderstanding got between the two and Blade Runner Rock became the Dingo Warrior in WCCW and Blade Runner Flash became Sting in the territory known as JCP. Fast forward to 1990 and both men became majorly popular enough to face Hulk Hogan for the WWF Title and Ric Flair for the NWA World Heavyweight Title(numerous times by then, competing against WrestleMania IV) respectively, both men becoming World Champion in the match(Warrior at WrestleMania VI and Sting at WCW's Great American Bash). Warrior wound up flopping and Sting ended up being a major success.
- Sterling Hale
My suggestion for one of these would be along the lines of title history. Something like…Iron Sheik defeated Bob Backlund for the WWE Championship. Who did he lose it to? Answer would be Hulk Hogan. Who did Ric Flair last eliminate in the 1992 Royal Rumble to win the vacant WWE championship? Answer would be Sid. Questions like that.
Forgot about Terra Ryzing aka Hunter Hearst Helmsley aka Triple H
"the mustache riders"
6:15 those were both the guesses I came up with lol. Real stumper
The Blade Runners, Sting & Warrior. They should have thrown the Red Rooster in there, lol.
I love how John trys to integrate the gimmick name into every single one he doesn't know as if that's how it works haha.
You guys haaave to, live stream for WrestleMania. Its your guys first WM on the channel. Love the vids boys.
Love your content keep it up
It's time for you to go to Quizzlemania. XD
guys this video randomly popped up i loved it! i drank some alcohol every time i got the answer right! i only missed a couple em! so checking out this channel
Technically, Sting was known as Either Bladerunner Sting and Freedom Fighter Flash during that run, with Warrior being Bladerunner Rock and Freedom Fighter Justice
The way John handed the belt as soon as Dante guessed Matt Morgan.. 🤣
Sting was in a tag team with The Ultimate Warrior as the Blade Runners! CWA, UWF, Mid-South Wrestling!
Here's a suggestion, you could do a guess the wrestler by their gear/attire
Nice video btw, keep it up!
I knew Sting and Warrior were the Bladerunners but didn't know which had which name.
This is Awesome chants all over and suddenly a finisher out of nowhere! whatta win
SPOILER on guesses, feeling really confident about this one.
1) Becky Lynch
2) Chris Jericho (Also shout out to UK wrestler Lionheart, RIP Lionheart, you didn't deserve to go like this)
3) Steve Austin
4) Seth Rollins, AKA Dante's secret bearded brother
5) Dolph Ziggler
6) John Cena (RUTHLESS AGGRESSION!)
7) Edge (he could have been Val Venis' cameraman!)
8) William Regal (I have legitimately no clue)
9) Roman Reigns (It's pronounced Lee-a-kee)
10) Eddie Guerrero (I know he was one of the Black Tigers)
11) The Undertaker
12) Bray Wyatt/Windham
13) Ultimate Warrior (the other one was Sting, I think)
14) Ok, this one is Warrior
15) Ryback
16) Scott Hall (I know it's wrong, but I have no idea)
17) Andre the Giant (It's pronounced something like a mix "John Fer-rey" and "Shawn Fer-rey")
18) Beth Phoenix (I thought she still had this one!)
19) Tyrus/Brodus Clay
20) Amish Roadkill
21) Matt Morgan
Totally should do a game on guess the ppv/ Arena. Take a screenshot of a set or poster but only show a slight section/piece of the image
I knew the Blade runner flash and Blade runner rock. I was waiting for those 2. Especially since sting is my favorite wrestler.
Tons more could end up on this list. From both modern wrestling and classic (as you had here)
Lord Humongous
Isaac Yankem
The Sultan
Avatar
Oz
The Diamand Dallas Stud
K Kwik
Scotty Flamingo
El Generico
And many many more
Sting and Warrior were the Blade Runners together, hence the identical face paint.
Me and my friend die of laughter everytime we refer to Rollins as Tyler black idk why 😂😂.
Sting and warrior Teamed as the blade runners in their mid south wrestling days.
LMAOOOOO they just naming random people 😂
I’d like to see everyone get down on that new 2K WWE game
The Blade Runners were a tag team back in the eighties. I'm not sure if they won the belts together though. And I knew of the wrestler Roadkill from the original ECW. Didn't really seem him compete.
I did pretty good on this one. Only one I didn't get was Edge. I'm loving these
"Mustache Molehill"
13:30 There ARE NO TIES in the Tenkaichi Budokai!! :D
You can literally do a list with those from WCW and WWE/F in the early 90s and go with every single one: What the heck were they thinking?!?, especially if you realize what those guys would go on to do later
Ahh man i love roadkill knew that one right away 😭
This is tough, but I love it.
Roadkill was oldschool 90's-00's ECW
Roadkill was the Angry Amish Chicken Plucker never heard him referred to as a Warrior
9:03 Sting and Warrior were a Tag Team
5:08 Dolph's real first name is Nicolas, so that's how I knew.
Not sure if this has been done yet, but maybe do guess wrestler by their catchphrase!
They've done one already.
@@MarkSeinIII Ohhh thank you! I'll have to check it out :)
Yes sting and warrior were a tag team when they first started they got in pro wrestling together
Dang y'all . You make me feel like the biggest wrestling genius !!!! I got them ALL without thinking except number 1 !!!!!! Let's play for money boys !!!! Haha !!!!!
