    Watching this video and then dialing in my Valeton GP200JR made a big difference! Sounds so much better. Thanks MrCrosby for making this video.

    Hi there, just received my Valeton a few days ago and very pleased! I used to have a Line 6 POD HD500X and you could sweep the Q through the whole frequency range while playing. So you could remove any nasal frequencies from the pickups for instance. Can you do this on the Valeton while you are playing? Many thanks 😊

      By "sweep the Q" what do you mean?

    • @johnfowlertrailrunning
      @johnfowlertrailrunning Před 3 měsíci

      You select an arbitrary width of the frequency range with the Q, boost it to get a peak in the graph and then slide it right through the frequency range to accentuate the sounds and pick out ‘nasal’ or whistling sounds. It also works well for microphones.😊

      Like what you’re doing at 4:41 but you do it while you’re playing and then slide it left and right to hear the noises you want to eliminate.

      @@johnfowlertrailrunningoh okay...you can't do it like that while playing.
      Valeton doesn't have assignments to the Global EQ for u to remove what u don't need while playing.
      If there are frequencies u don't need, you'll have to do it in the specific preset before taking it for a live gig.
      Each signal chain has a localized EQ u can modify things on there then that's it.😊

    How low and high should we set the cutoff frequency?

    • @calebcadainoo
      @calebcadainoo  Před 5 měsíci +1

      There isn't a hard standard value for the cutting ✂️
      Basically you cut off frequencies from your guitar 🎸 or signal that you don't want present.

    • @calebcadainoo
      @calebcadainoo  Před 5 měsíci +2

      Example:
      If your guitar 🎸 naturally have a lot of low ends or bass in there, you can decide to use the Global EQ to cut the low ends around 20Hz to 100Hz
      Depending on the kind of tonality you want to naturally get from your guitar when u plug it into the board.
      Similarly, you can do same for cases where your guitar naturally have High frequencies more than any other range. In that case, you can experiment or maybe cut from 14,000Hz or 8000Hz.
      These are just examples but you can experiment to get your desired signal
