    People may scoff, but he was channeling the most natural and truest form of intelligence ~ the one that inquisition after inquisition has tried to burn at the stake, etc., and that which The Enlightenment (which continues to this day) has attempted to ridicule into extinction. "The Great Forgetting." McKenna was a pioneer who was simply trying to help us remember. Bless him for his efforts & thanks for the upload.

    I remember days before hurricane Andrew hit animals especially birds were acting crazy and appeared to be flying away from the area. I also found a crab in my yard 10 miles from the ocean the day before. animals and plants are more in tune with the planet than humans.

    DUDE. Sometime in the last year or two I came across this thought about dinosaurs existing and becoming extinct because of an asteroid crashing into earth. Earth clearly learned its lesson and several millions of years later humans were created. As a defense mechanism, to defend and explore, releasing ourselves from Earth's atmosphere like seeds from a dandelion. We are a product of Earth like an antibodies are for our bodies. Here I am listening to McKenna who I literally just found today saying something similar. Crazy. And I love his story about the branch.

    I love how he can come up with the most astoundingly out there theories...but, somehow, they always make such lucid obvious sense. He does such a good job at showing, plainly, how the discoveries of modern science and the common intuitions of thousands of spiritual paths are pointing to the same idea...and idea that can be experience personally and directly, if you so chose, by ingesting a few grams of a fungus that grows out of the Earth just as we ourselves do. Love this video...

I paused, ran out and observed that the branch had indeed fallen but hadn't hurt anything. I just felt chills run all over me. I came back in, listened to the rest of the video and wandered, hmmm, maybe there's a grain of truth here.

    On high dosage shrooms (5g) I experience "ego death", it can get scary, your ego does not want to let go, just remember to breath and "let go". Beyond that, I have the most amazing experience, well worth the rough patch, the realization of where I belong and who I really am and how I am part of everything and no longer fear death. Sure ask questions, my experience there is another with me, try to focus on self discovery. Set/setting/prep are vital, I prefer alone with all the comforts. Namaste;)

    Freewill is an illusion (created by the Ego)...
    Given the eternal link between cause and effect, we are on a set trajectory through reality.
    The past created the present, and the present will create the future. The universe is one fluid expression of existence.
    Our destiny unfolds as time ticks on...
    You are the domino falling onto the next

    • @thomasde1388
      @thomasde1388 Před 8 lety

      "Given the eternal link between cause and effect, we are on a set trajectory through reality" - lucius
      ...if you (not your ego) really beliefs that, than you yust live in your illusion, called time, then you are able to observe time from outside, but you still live in it. time is the reason for the cause and effect principle, but our true souls dont know time ( try to understand einstein in this point)
      our bodies are the dominos falling, beause pulled away through time, your FREEWILL IS the eternal thing, not that "link", that probably god or nature gave us.....destiny unfolds arlight but only in the present moment in wich you absolutely know you are here, because you cannot doubt yourself...
      there is a philosophical "science" called skepticism after which i would ask, what was the reason of the cause and effect reason that time works after....?
      But still i say i donnt want to persuade you of my own truth in this case, but want to make you think about the words you chose.... your illusions can be your freewill if you want, but i am pretty sure as long as you dont trap your own spirit in either your divine body or your thoughts ( wich are not real) you Can live frewill....

      This is true and not true.. I had a precognition dream once that unfolded exactly the same the next day. But we do exist in a multiverse that has every possibility happening all at once. You can shift into the reality you want, mentally. This is sorcery/Magick. The universe will move around you when you aware of this power.

    Part 5: I have been to a homeless shelter in Boston to watch my father play music for them, and although I didn't speak with them, their demeanor, both viscerally, and in conversations that I had seen and overheard second hand, had not shown any resemblance to that of Mckenna's talks. I am not saying that they were or weren't "addicts," but since you feel so inclined to thinking their are connections between not only addicts and the homeless people, but also homeless addicts and Mckenna...

    Mr. Terrance we are not corrupting our planet entirely. It is the corrupt vibrations which are corrupting our planet. I think he is in a place that fear is not the emotion he is accessing. When he says "eliminate ourselves from the message" he has reached a place without ego and in that state no ego remains and fear is a response of ego."so that we then can see the face of the Other"

  • @AravahStar
    @AravahStar Před 11 lety

    It's one thing to say "eliminate ourselves from the message" and another to actually accomplish that. I'm not an advocate of eliminating ego, but integrating our whole self, including ego. It's a neutral tool. I do find Terence fascinating and enjoy much of his insights, but I do think he wasn't above peddling fear at times. That's OK if you don't agree. Thanks for the interaction. It's been a pleasure!

Therefore using altruism is the perfect description that the term respect is unnecessary, since a truly unselfish person does not expect ANYTHING neither recognition for giving...

By all means, if you don't want to try psychedelics don't do it, but educate yourself about YOURSELF. Capitalist and Consumerist ideology condemns psychedelics, because they are true value changers and people might stop looking at ads and their bank accounts and start to realize that they had been fed lies since they were born. I hope more people become aware.

It wasn't " misinformation " in any way EXCEPT to those who can't read properly. The only thing they should teach kids about drug use is how bad they are & using them ONLY in life & death circumstances.

    many vine like plants (lianas) which grow on trees gather some portion of their nutrients from the photosynthate of their host. the vine didn't grow on the dead limb because there was no nutritional incentive for it to do so. that is most likely the mechanism, however this story is no less astonishing for it.

As Einstein said, "Try and penetrate, with our limited means, the secrets of nature, and you will find that behind all the discernable concatenations, there remains something subtle, intangible and inexplicable." @HUaRC Parents have to satisfy their ego to upkeep their image in front of the "others" and for themselves. "I'm a good parent, because my kid listens to my orders." "I'm a good kid, because I listen to my parents" When a kids tell them "NO" they ego gets damaged and they react immediately and force the kid to submission using verbal/physical/emotional force or grounding. Anyhow they exploit the situation of a weaker human and get a sense of self as "superiors" over "lesser being".

    This is one reason why life seems to be intelligently designed and in a way it was by Organisms themselves and their purposeful intentional and the pan-cosmo-Quantum supra-conscious holographic in-formational memory field of co-entangled states. This is co-evolutionary co-creation or co-creative intelligent self-organized co-evolutionary design. That's the evolutionary design revolution.

    @InsideOUT37 Oh, sure, no I wouldn't say that Terence wasn't a heavy pot smoker, that's something he did admit using quite often, I was just saying that he didn't abuse the psychedelics. You see, the doses he advocated aren't what I'd call "recreational" or "fun." This is why he called it the "heroic dose." It's really a mission and will take every ounce of courage you have. That's what Terence did rarely, and he never went into it without a huge sense of sickening dread each time.

    @InsideOUT37 That's a little extreme. I do agree with you, though... No institution should 'rescue' freeloaders and bottom feeders, either.

    ...McKenna's theory is certainly far fetched but none the less a 'theory' in its own right. Further it might actually be correct in areas rather than in its entirety. By divine I dont think he meant god as such but more a higher purpose than coincidence or luck. The universe may or may not have a consciousness depending on how you define consciousness. Is evolution a type of consciousness? perhaps not but it didn't need to 'think' in order to build animals and humans.

    "The only thing they should teach kids about drug use is how bad they are & using them ONLY in life & death circumstances."
    What about the truth? Give them some credit for their own intelligence, give them the facts and let them think, instead of saying "it's bad because I said so." While we're at it, we should do the same thing with sex. I had to sit through hours of "drugs are bad, mmkay?" and "abstinence only" brainwashing in school when I could have been learning something useful.

    This is quantum holographic syntropy through pan-cosmo-Quantum supra-conscious holographic in-formational memory field of co-entangled states i.e morphic resonance. Life is good at sensing things yet to happen through being already entangled with the matter and energy of the things involved in the anticipated event/occurrence.

    @InsideOUT37 I didn't mean to insult you at all, Sir. Please understand that I just noticed a vulgar exchange taking place here, and, due to the fact that I sympathize with some of what I've read markst write here, I urged him not to fuel the fire with hate.
    From viewing my watching history, you have drawn erroneous conclusions. I find Mckenna humble, loving, fascinating and caring. His yarns are cause for celebration for many good people.

    @JoshJamesification The problem is, they don't understand this and each generation teaches the next to be a mental slave. Modern men have absolute freedom, but they are afraid to think for themselves and conform instead following the herd. And the government is the "herder". The whole thing starts with the idea of "Respect", a word which means obedience, aggression, submission without question or reason. The word "respect" doesn't exist for me. I don't give it and I don't expect it.

    Hah, your comment can be applied to yourself here very loud and clear. For example, how about explaining and proofing your statements? I've heard infinitely more interesting and well thought out new paradigms and ideas eloquently explained from this man than i heard from you so far. Also, as far as insights the next day go, well, i and many others have had insights that changed the rest of our lives. So when you say "when you are high", you are obviously only saying "when I am high".
