My friend, freestyle skiing was alive and kicking in 1977. We didn't do inverted air or corked anything but you could see a quad daffy aka "space walking" 720s, multiple twisters, moguls and ballet.

I remember seeing those guys just skiing all calm then whip a crazy flip and twist with nothing but their poles.

The way you break down the progression of each build-out year to year for this is dope, and is a perfect showcase for what can be achieved when engineering, artistic architecture and a professional extreme sport are combined, my initial reaction after seeing this is how the fugg can I get into the construction side of building high-end features like this, which sent me down a MASSIVE google wormhole LOL. Not a lot of credit is given to park designers and the people that build its features but after watching this I realize how just the design and construction of features has an enormous impact on the development of the entire sport. I just recently discovered your channel and have loved all the content I have seen.........thanks for the FIRE content!

I have been snowboardin in Livigno for four times and seen nine knight park two times. First time they was shaping it and they finished it that week when i was there. The Nine Knights park is even more amazing in seen live.

I saw it 2017 live, it was impressive as hell!
Yeah, I watched it live in 2019, when they had the setup with the massive launchpad. Weather was kind of sketchy and one could feel the tension amongst the spectators but also the riders (I was hanging out at the drop in) when someone was sending from the launchpad
