I stopped being a mechanic in the early 90's. Started driving trucks in 97. Then in 2004 I started delivering new big trucks. In about 05 or 06 I was delivering a truck dropped a set of snap-on wire strippers and drove over them. Bent them all up so I flipped them over and drove over them again. They worked fine for quite a while. Then one day I was driving up US 287 and I saw a Snap-on truck at a gas station, so I pulled in to the dirt lot next door and ran over to the truck with the tool in hand. The dealer asked what had happened to them. So I told him and he traded them out for me. Never seen him before, never seen him again. That was the first time I ever had to get a Snap-on tool replaced. That guy was awesome. I'll never forget that story.
I blew up my set working on a live 480 Vac circuit (not known to be live at the time) my dealer replaced them and said “well now I can comfortably tell guys on the truck they’ve been electrician approved and tested
Me and my buddy whenever the snap on truck comes by the shop we get so excited it's like getting ice cream as a kid. We just really enjoy Snap-On tools. Plus we like to support Trevor our friend and dealer.
I have a great Snappy guy. When I closed up shop he hauled my box to my house for me. I still buy Snappy stuff when I need it. I just text him when he's in town, and I meet him at one of his stops. Great service.
I had found a long thin blade flat head screwdriver that is awesome for adjusting carbs. I dropped it one day and broke the handle my snap-on dealer not only replaced the handle he replaced the whole screwdriver.
I have been blessed with having excellent tool dealers. I left a comment a couple weeks ago about Matco ratchets about them braking but have been extremely happy with my Matco dealer. I have a Snap-on and Mac guy to. I’ve bought tools from all three tool guys and there all very faithful and always been there for me. Been like that for nine years.

Mine is good, he has warranted everything. And everything I have warranty has been stuff that I haven't got form him. No questions ask, I had a 3/8 sockets I took and air hammer too. I told them what I did and he still gave me a new one.
Man, i tell you, i just got a new job, and i use screwdrivers NON STOP. Normally a screwdriver is one of the least used tools IMO, but yeah i use them non stop. I would think a couple negative calls to Snap-On about a dealer that didn’t want to sell or warranty tools and his franchise agreement would get a black mark and possibly not renewed because that dealer is having a negative impact on the brand. A new franchise agreement also means Snap-On gets to sell a new truck, tools, training, computer, etc.
I wish that were the case. The snap on dealer at my work is pretty terrible. He didn’t show up for the first 3+ months I worked there, even after a corporate guy came out and talked to us about him because we had so many complaints. Guys had stuff to warranty but he didn’t stop by because people didn’t buy stuff, just warranties. It took multiple calls to the corporate office and going through them to warranty tools. He would stop down the street though because his friends shop was there that he raced Honda’s with. The other guy in town is great from what I’ve heard, but they’re pretty strict on who gets what route
Sorry to say but today I’m out from buying snapon😔. I fully paid a 3/8 electric ratchet , months later send it back for warranty and my dealer charged me $150 to replace my ratchet with a used one because mine was waiting for parts. If i add up what i paid and this extra cost it adds up to $750 for a ratchet. Warranty was just a simple trick👎.

I found out my dealers warehouse is less than a block from my shop. When I told him where I worked, he said e knew who’s area it was but the guy said the gate was closed (which was BS, we get a Mac truck). He said screw it and sent one of his guys over. They’ve been pretty good. His weekly specials are usually worthwhile because SnapOn flyer sales are trash.
I haven't been on a Snap Onn truck in almost two years. I sure miss going on the truck to buy. I left my old job and went to a custom/restoration body shop. Bit it's on personal property. I have passed a Snap On truck heading to work and wish I could flag him down but I never have time and it's been months since we ve seen it. I been hope to get his name and number so I could hopefully have him stop by. I been watching you page for years now and I wish Hamilton was my dealer!!
I had a bad run in with a Snap-On dealer 28 years ago. Took the guy 2 weeks to swap out the guts on a ratchet because he was lazy and I had never purchased anything from him before as I was new to the area. Had to call a area manager to track my ratchet down. After that I never purchased another Snap-on tool again. Not going to pay a premium price for bad service. At the time I decided to just get craftsman hand tools because it was easier to swap out. I quickly realized I could purchase multiple backup tools and still cost less with better service.
When the Cornwell guy come to my area and wanted my business, I told him straight up you treat me well and I'll treat you well. But my first question was, will you warranty previous Cornwell buys. He said absolutely as long as that's not all he's going to be to me. And I have to say he was a fantastic guy to deal will.
All three of my dealers have different dynamics of how they interact with me. We got the Snake Oil salesman (Snap-On). The former mechanic (Mac). And Mom and Pop store (Independent, an actual store, not a truck). They all have great service, so I still prefer spending money with them instead of big box stores.
I worry that Big Snappy (Corporate) severely undervalues all that you and especially Hamilton are doing for them. You two should definitely be getting more love from the factory ! ! ! Hell Cruz Pedregon should be down here in the big Miss hangin' with Clay n' Jovin ! ! !
Been a week off so far,dad had gall bladder surgery last week Thursday.Found it inflamed.Recovering very well now from it.A neighbor of mine dealt with a Snap On dealer that was an asshole.I had him take a broke screwdriver to this dealer and would not warranty it.Broke the tip off of it,I used it to wedge between the bellhousing of the transmission and engine breaking the tip.He got this dealer to warranty it.Did not want to warranty due to using it as a pry bar
My Snap-on dealer helped me out in a jam i needed a 33 mm wrench on a Sunday at 4 o'clock and he was out Xmas shopping and buy 5 o'clock he showed up it was expensive but when 30 people are depending on you to have the plant operational on Monday morning can you really put a price on it and is sears harbor freight or home depot going to have a 33 mm wrench and if they do what are the odds they will bring it to you
I agree you have good reps we have a great cornwell dealer. The snap on rep is not reliable matco rep ever 3 monthif that. I'm wanting to trade in my snap-on because of my rep.
Shit I needed a 1” open end about 2” long for an air line on a drop down deck trailer. Only had my snap ons in my box. Cut that sucker right off in front of the snap on man. Bout made him sick😂😂 still have it to me this day

I use to like them they are like the bottom tier of tool trucks . I've procured a lot of cornwell.but the last rep we had was horrible person wasn't really interested in deals and doing buisness .so I'm glad to say I e upgraded to better matco and snap on stuff.its really about the guy you deal with.

The last Cornwell rep we had was horrible person to do business with. Thankfully upgrading to higher quality snap on and match stuff.
I don’t blame you. No matter how “good” a tool is they are only as good as the man that sold them to you
They’re repeatedly missing out on the opportunity to acquire more customers.
Buy all the tools u dream of and get billed by jovin. Then next fox the ac. The bill will miraculously be the same.
NO Gary Crews in Des Moines Iowa is the coolest SNAP-ON DEALER!!!
That's sucks his ac went out at the end of the season tell you 25 dollars a week we always had fun with a tool truck guy when he needed service
We need Mr Hamilton as a snap on dealer he tell it like it is
When the Cornwell guy come to my area and wanted my business, I told him straight up you treat me well and I'll treat you well. But my first question was, will you warranty previous Cornwell buys. He said absolutely as long as that's not all he's going to be to me. And I have to say he was a fantastic guy to deal will.
Our snap on dealer match dealer and gear wrench dealer are great we are supposed to be getting a Mac dealer next week 😄
We need a “Day in the Life of a Snap-on Dealer” like you did with Mac Daddy Micheal.
I think a weekend day in the life would be much more fun
@@KoonTrucking 100% agree!!!
@@KoonTrucking hell yes that would be awesome!!
I wish there were more guys like this. Where is he based out of anywhere in Florida?
I need that blue torque wrench 🔧
That's how you take advantage of the situation lol
All three of my dealers have different dynamics of how they interact with me. We got the Snake Oil salesman (Snap-On). The former mechanic (Mac). And Mom and Pop store (Independent, an actual store, not a truck). They all have great service, so I still prefer spending money with them instead of big box stores.
Got that screwdriver set a couple weeks ago. Pretty nice
That blue ratchet is rare here in the Cali area lol
I bought a brand new snap-on 1/4” ratchet with two batteries and a charger NeW in box (with the box) for $150. I win.
I worry that Big Snappy (Corporate) severely undervalues all that you and especially Hamilton are doing for them. You two should definitely be getting more love from the factory ! ! !
Hell Cruz Pedregon should be down here in the big Miss hangin' with Clay n' Jovin ! ! !
Man I love the way you think! I guess Snap On is so big that they could care less about us ! Haha
It doesn’t cost a dealer anything to warranty. Snap on replaces it for free
I need to get that Matco hat! Super clean.
Man glad you are doing ok !
@@KoonTrucking I am and dad is listening to the doctor
I love my brushless rachet I keep asking my snap-on guy when are they going to get a long neck version
Hamilton come to texas and me and u be drinking a cold one and some fireball at7 30 a.m. u know what am saying
This guy is addictive... I'm a handyman in Ontario and I want to buy from him.
My Snap-on dealer helped me out in a jam i needed a 33 mm wrench on a Sunday at 4 o'clock and he was out Xmas shopping and buy 5 o'clock he showed up it was expensive but when 30 people are depending on you to have the plant operational on Monday morning can you really put a price on it and is sears harbor freight or home depot going to have a 33 mm wrench and if they do what are the odds they will bring it to you
Yeah my old dealer was like that. He said if you need anything on a weekend or holiday let me know and I will bring it to you.
Bout made him sick😂😂 still have it to me this day
Miss Seeing Hamilton on ya videos! Wish I had a good snap on Dealer, the one I have is a ass hole n don’t show up n wants you to meet him at another shop 🤦🏽♂️
Yeah I wouldn’t do that, if he couldn’t come to me I sure as hell wouldn’t buy from him
Clay you need a blue tool box for your blue tools. lol
Had one
60 and Moist up here in Minnesota!
We sure need this snap on guy in Smithville tn !
I’ve warrantied stuff with my snap on dealer that I had before I got on a truck lol put a handle on my ratchet for free!
I like Hamilton's T shirt lol
Whats everyones thought on cornwell?
Joe used to be a Cornwell dealer. All I know is I don’t own a Cornwell ratchet because I want my ratchet to have more teeth than me.
I’ve just noticed, Hamilton and micheal are the best dealers because they try to talk to you and make conversation, joe doesn’t really talk and only shows off his product. I’m not saying joe is a bad dealer but you can make a connection with Hamilton and Michael but not joe. Or maybe I’m just wrong
I met Joe at the meet up, talked his ear off for an hour or so. I bought some stuff from him. He gave my daughter a hat, he’s a super nice guy.
I have a great snap on dealer but man Hamilton is excellent at it. Sucks he got out of the biz
When they come back out with the pearl blue screwdrivers like that I hesitated on buying some but now I really want some and can't find them....
