Great Video!! I didn't use Blastoise before so i added them for this run, but i'm still not as fast on running and move selection as in the video
Also i used to run 1 Specs and 1 Scarf Typhlosion, propably have a few more situations that they can't get a KO (Poliwrath, Dragonite and Milotic would be a problem), but with them i could clear a few ones without tailwind setup. So in my last 3 runs with both Specs i've been trying:
- Dewford Gym - Typh Lead; Either the Timid Typhlosion still outspeeds the scarfed enemy or i still don't get OHKO by them, can still clear it with the same number of turns so far. For this i go from:
Rustboro - drought > Dewford - Typh lead > Lavaridge - Rain setup
- Vermilion Gym - Typh lead; I haven't fought the rain team yeat in this run, but 1 Typhlosion has Sunny Day and the rain team has no Sash, So if Politoed lead > Sunny Day + Eruption can probably still clear even if 1 mon is locked out of eruption.
- Castelia Gym - Typh lead. You can just go from Cerulean > fly > Unova > Castelia Gym directly, never had any problems with this gym; but then you need to delay Icirrus so i'm going: Castelia - Typh lead > TP reset > Striaton brothers > TP Reset > Either Nimbasa or Driftveil - drought setup > Icirrus - Typh lead. You save time by getting 1 battle setup less and the same number of Resets
Maybe if i keep getting faster on moving around and the battle itselft i can try to add Fuschia Gym with Typh lead or Nacrene with Rain setup

PS: finally i have made a tarkoal 4x31 with 0 speed, a jovy cottonee 31 spd & 0 atk but also 2 blastoise 5x31 and 2 typhlo 5x31 :D

Thanks for the updated guide, gonna try out this new route. Tip for everyone you can also run hidden ability murkrow with ring target instead of cottonee if you don't want to buy the fly ocarina

I said this earlier but its a really good idea to evolve cottonee at lvl 1 with sunstone. It gives you tailwind for free but more importantly you get Memento.
Memento is important for sacking the whimsicot so it doesnt level up but more importantly it helps set the team for sweep if a leader brings out wobbafett with destiny bond.
Great point thanks for pointing this out! It's niche but definitely helps reduce the chance of getting slowed for a turn!
But what do you do about the ability?
Edit: nvm, was under the assumption that abilities get randomised upon evolution. But none of my cottonees got tailwind. I suppose I should have gotten bred instead of catched ones, so that was a waste of money lol
@@jean-mauricenestler3761 Yea you only get the moves if its lvl 1. I just breed it until I get prankster then evolve with sunstone.
Great video! I haven't incorporated the Blastoises in my team yet because I can consistently hit around 27 gyms without them, but it looks like they'll pay for themselves after a few boosted runs, so I'll consider it. One point, though, you mention that Opelucid is a straightforward drought/tailwind setup with nothing to look out for. In my experience a Serperior/Samurott lead can use Grass/Water Pledge and make a swamp which kills tailwind buff and is a straight up loss most of the time.
Thanks for the heads up! I've never seen that lead use the double pledge against cottonee and torkoal, only when I tested with typhlosion leads. Good to note it could happen against them though! I've probably done this gym about 100 times with the cottonee/torkoal lead and never seen them use it on them though

Check out my trainer rerun and do that two times or so and you can get the fly one then come do this! It'll be a little slower without teleport but should work with at least 27 or 28 just with fly I think
@@JinxedBoonhi , i am a mobile player , so I liked you video very much , I have been doing rerun daily for around 2 weeks , I used to follow patrouski guide , but this guide is better as it cover more gym , but only issue for me is I can do only 25-26 gyms in my 1 hour coin and i make only 335k in 1 hr , sometimes when I do 27 gyms I make 360k , so I wanna know what I am doing wrong and how to fix it.
@tom36- hey! It cab definitely be tougher on mobile but with some practice, you should be able to get 28 or 29! 30 is really tough on mobile tbh. Try to just press the buttons ad fast as possible and make sure you have the path memorized from gym to gym. It'll come with some practice!

Thanks for the guide! I just did my first run, I fucked up in a couple of things, but with an amulet coin I managed to get 260k profit and got to Sonowpoint City in Sinnoh!
I know that in my next runs I will do much better

Just done my run 26 gym more then what i used to be able to do plus i gotta learn everything and was watching as doing this is amazing hopefully i can push the rest idk if its cuz im on phone maybe a lil slower will gesy more tomorrow did face some minor issues one the very furst gym wuth the twins might be worth noting they have a wabbfet with sash amd deastany bond even worse couldn't switch whimecott out the follwikg turn and tysplion died lucky i had memonto on my cott so ot coukd die and speed things up alwaya handy to have another thing ive noticed if yiur evo tour cot it looks like fake out always targeta tork kanto i think i just gjt unlucky and had ti do a route slightly different as i had to heap after the graas gym think thats all i can remwber vut as always keeo up tge amazing work
Yup mobile is a little slower for sure but with the correct strings, I have been doing 29 gyms with this route consistently on mobile so its not too bad!

One thing I usually do is breed or have the cottonee learn memento so that if it does survive it's guaranteed to die, not level up and at the same time set the most threatening enemy/the one that is most likely to survive be less harmful for the other pokemon

wow, very nice! the item swap team can beat morimoto+ 34 gyns, which means almost 100k more money, but for beginners your team its just perfect.
Thank you! Yeah, xanarchys team is amazing for efficiency but I watched a few people like patrouski and caav try it, and it seemed way too complicated for a daily rerun. I think the more difficult ones would discourage me from just hopping into it every day, so I prefer this style!

It's ctrl+y or ctrl+x depending on your keyboard layout. A is the original console button.
Ctrl+y or ctrl+z is what I mean. For some reason I cannot edit my other comment.
@samueldaniels8415 mine is ctrl + e, it's just whatever you keybind your a key to! You can do this in the settings. I find z and y super uncomfortable so I use q and e

My GEC actually just stopped working recently too! No idea why but I did a clean install of the game and then put strings on, then GEC, then other mods and everything is working now

Yup that's normal! Once team rocket is defeated Giovanni is gone for good! There is no way to rerun that gym unfortunately
If you struggle to make it far, Bill String is required here. i used Ted String and got only 23-24. Once I switched to Bill String, i made it to 29 with errors lol. Bill String is op.

You probably already own this team if you're thinking about gym reruns. if you don't have the torkoal and cottonee, they're like 30k for the both.
I am currently getting ~27-28/30 because my movement, flying, etc are sloppy compared to how clean jinxed is. I still make well over 300k per run on a +75 charm (even with the cost of 70k, this is factored in).
I do this run as soon as I first log on, and I've made (what I realize) is a lot of money in my 250h on the game.
5 regions, OT dex, Red/Cynthia/Morimoto beaten.
Gym rerun team (this) ready. Trainer team ready. 3 ditto catcher vaporeons ready, pickup meowth ready, 3 frisk/thief mons... 1 pickpocketer....... gen 2-5 Red Rerun team. Last personal project is my gen 1 Red re-runners. I have the Adamant 5x31 (lol I wanted good mon) Moxie Honchcrow, just haven't filled out the niche-r parts of the team.
Thanks Jinxed. You're the goat. I bought a Smeargle of yours off the GTL ~3-4 weeks ago and he's been my boi ever since. I now sell my own adamant 2x31 smeargle for what I bought himb for originally (great moneymaker), but I'll never sell your OT.

Make sure it has ring target and you should be fine! Only issues is that's a pretty high level so it might not get ohko which would cause problems

Hey man I was running a drought setup typhlosion team before and now bred some decent squirtles to add to that. I just have to ev and xp train them and there comes my question. What level do they approximately need to be for this strategy to work?
To be consistent, level 100 is best but you could make it through most at like 80 or 90 probably with more resets!

Thanks for the coverage! Do the Blastoise need to be exactly 1 spd apart or is it fine if the speed difference is a little bigger?
Glad to help! I love it because it's so easy to use, just one attack to worry about on each mon other than rain dance! 1 speed difference is optimal because you are reaching blastoises max speed on the rain setter and then the choice specs is only one less than max. Up to you if you want to go more budget but that does introduce risk of getting outsped in some gyms
@@JinxedBoon Thanks for the quick answer! Knowing myself I will go for 2 Blastoises with 2x31 ivs anyway and try to breed them with my OT but I also like to know how little effort I can put in and still make it work. Getting outsped in gyms would suck though.
@@red_dll 31 iv is totally fine! Just make sure your specs user has 248 speed ev. That'll drop his speed by 1
@@JinxedBoon I am actually able to get a 30 spd iv Blastoise and it is also cheaper to breed.
One last question because I can't remember right now: Is a modest nature mandatory for the Typhlosions because of survivability or can it be any +sp.att. nature (that doesn't have - speed)?
Have you ever noticed attacks not doing any damage? It happened twice. Once yesterday and once already this morning.
Foe's lanturn should have died with my second eruption but I got a "not very effective" with what looked like no damage. Allowing it to get a discharge off. I don't remember when it happened yesterday but definitely happened at least once.
Today I am using custom strings and mods for pokemon the HD battle sprites but yesterday I didn't use any strings or mods.
Just curious if you noticed this or if it's just random bad luck. Attacks are not missing
(Also forgot to check battle log not really thinking about doing these runs)
I think I know what happened! Eruption and water spout damage is based off of your current HP so if you are at 100% HP, itll do 100% of its damage but if you are only at 50% HP it'll cut the damage in half. I'm guessing you probably took some hits so you weren't hitting at full power

Great run! Find it less consistent but easier than the xanarchys one. Been doing it the last couple days but today I changed some things:
Kanto: after Cerulean go to Fuchsia w/ no setup
Johto: dropped Violet and going straight to Cianwood>Mahogany no setup>Goldenrod blastoises
almost had time to go to tp reset into Ecruteak but the charm timed up as I got into battle, will be experimenting more tho. Very insightful & brainless run overall, as a daily gym rr should be!
Yup! I definitely like trading the complex stuff and efficiency for more chill and approachable! Xanarchy is a beast for making that run but that's too much for a daily imo

I'd say in the majority of cases, am amulet coin is best! I don't typically use a 100% charm even with 30 gyms
I tried this guide and it works perfectly, the only adjustment i did was replace the raindance blastoise with raindaince Togekiss with Hyper Voice so i can have a flyer 🤣.
@@rhedz018 smart! This should work fine! I didn't think about that. Also murkrow works as a tailwind user with fly!
@@JinxedBoon Murkrow can do, but you need its hidden ability, Togekiss is a bit more budget for replacing a water spout Blastoise to get the fly move 😊
Btw looking at the prices right now it doesnt matter whether you run with a 75% or 100% riches (65000 vs. 135000 atm). Profit will he around the same +-500 pokeyen which is negligible.
Definitely do the calculation before choosing a charm! I stocked up on charms at LNY event so mine were a bit cheaper. Also I definitely used the 100% charm so I could put $560k in the thumbnail 😅
I'm not getting any Heatran at Snowpoint, I'm getting a lot of Dry Skin Jynx and Water Absorb Lapras instead. Is this new? Because you didn't mention those Pokémon in the video at all, and having the Blastoise there makes the battle last longer because none of those 2 can be OHKO'ed.
I'm actually looking over the teams and wondering if I wrote an incorrect note on this one. I swear I saw a heatran in that gym but it must have been somewhere else! Sorry about that. Maybe 2x typhlosions is better. Let me know if it continues to work for you!
can you do this with just the typhlosions? or the blastoise are really needed for this kind of runs.
The typlosions are all you really need however there are some gyms where the blastoises come in as backup so make sure you have something as a backup! Just look through the run and skip the ones that have blastoise
@@JinxedBoon Thanks, but i have already made the modest typhlosions with 31 spa and speed. Also, the blastoises with modest nature and 31 spa and speed. However, i made the other with 30 speed like you said and i made them all for 390k really cheap.

holding ctrl and then holding my key i have bound to A doesnt auto click, is this a setting you have to turn on or a separate thing that has to be set up?
Assuming your A key is space, it doesn't work! Not sure why but space is the only ctrl+A bind that doesn't work

Question, why not use choice specs on blastoises?
You fo on the water spout only user but if you use it on the rain setter, then it won't be able to use water spout after rain is up

Yup! Just take the total amount I earned and divide it by 2. I can't remember exactly but should be easy to figure out!

question! how are you using all those HM moves from pokemon that aren't on your team? that's the only part that has me confused the rest is absolutely golden material!
That's the ocarinas! I go over it briefly just after the team overview. I'd recommend starting with a fly ocarina and then a teleport after that! I find fly ocarina makes the game WAY more enjoyable overall!

Yup! This will be about $420-430k with an amulet coin! I actually usually use an amulet coin for this run! I definitely didn't use the 100% charm just so that I could put $560k in the thumbnail... that wouldn't be right of me... 😂

How do I beat the dragon gym in unova when they use a water and grass pledge that creates a swamp? I get defeated when facing them
I haven't had it make the swamp so it must have something to do with the IV spread of my cottonee and torkoal. If it's an issue, just skip the dragon gym and then when in sinnoh, add in the rock gym!

And I was wondering what other gyms can I beat using the typhlosion and Blastoise strat since I tend to use 2 amulet coins due to mori and cynthia and sometimes go to the trainer rerun, is there a doc I can check?
How did you teleport yourself from dewford to slateport center?
Teleport will send you to the last entered PC or the port town PC if you haven't entered one. Since I never entered any other PC in hoenn, it stays at the slateport PC

Thank you! They are very necessary unfortunately. You might get by most gyms with a charcoal but it'll not be enough for a lot of the gyms to be a smooth clear

why take out oreburgh gym in sinnoh? i feel like it is a better option than sunnyshore bc the gym is a lot closer to the pc but i havent really tested it, just wondering if you had a reason.
I thought I had issues with sand storm coming on after typhlosions. However, after looking back over the teams, I'm not sure how. Maybe it was the custap berry rock slide killing typhlosions and walling with cradily. Sorry, but I tested a while ago and can't remember now but if it works better for you, then definitely adjust as you see fit!

@yournightmaregodess yeah it might have been that! I remember there being several teams that caused problems and the % of problems was too high imo. I might have been trying without setup though, I can't remember exactly but if you get a week or so of smooth runs through it, let me know!

Yup you could do that! I find the eject button or red card or whatever it is there is annoying so I prefer Cerulean since it is still a 98% chance at 4 turn clear there
I do both, Fuchsia doesn't need a reset.
How do you fly to different cities without a flying pokemon in your team?
That's the fly ocarina! Same with teleport! I cover it in the video just after going over the team but you can get them in the rp shop for 200RP ($2 USD) or on the gtl for like 450k
I dont think this is a optimized route for the patrouski team, cause the torkoal team used to beat 24 or 25 gyns. This is basically the torkoal team with bills strings, and now everyone can do some gyns more. The real hero here is bills.
Feel free to go through all of the testing yourself to find a faster route if you would like.

Why does slaking in petalburg gym outspeed my typhlosions? I can see from the video it doesnt even outspeed blastoises. :((

Slaking just happens to outspeed my Blastoises when Chansey uses helping hand on it, which is weird because helping hand doesn't boost speed iirc. Unless the gym leader uses a different Slaking that is faster for certain teams.
Is it worth using amulet coin if I can only do unova region gyms for right now?
I would for sure! If you clear all 10 leaders in unova, you will get about $90k without a coin or $130k with a coin. The coin is just under $20k so you are profiting about $20k from it! Throw in the rich trainers about undella and a few more trainers and you will make a good amount off of the hour

@xMIKE1800x unova is probably best for money because it has 10 gyms, some great trainers, the best breeder locations, and access to berry farming! Next, I'd say probably Sinnoh because you can do the trainer rerun through there! Johto is amazing money late game with Mt Silver but you need pokedex completion for that. Also you can get the 3 doggos there! Hoenn and Kanto aren't great money makers, as far as I know. However, if you want to catch the legendary birds, make sure to get kanto done!

Havin problems in the Opelucid City they outspeed me. They use Serperior and Samurott and create a swamp first turn.....

Absolutely! I like to start with mori or an e4 champ myself. Those are just a little more complex and I wanted this strategy to be more accessible! Alter it however works for you!

Yup I've seen that one! It's xanarchys team I think right? It's waaaay too complicated for a daily run imo. Lots of swapping items and different leads. Imo, keep it simple and chill on your dailies otherwise you might end up skipping it because it's stressful. 30 gyms every day is more money than 36 gyms a few times per week!

If you have the same strings, itll skip the gaining money dialogue but you will still get it!

I'm trying this and for some reason my whimsicott survives 1st turn around 60% of the time. I'm thinking about leveling the torkoal just so it can kill it with explosion
What level is the whimsicott?
could be a high def/s.def IV
@@JinxedBoon its a lvl 1, most of the time it survives because the npc will target the torkoal first and if a support move is used then whimsicott survives. That said I'm still super thankful for the guide, this just makes it a little awkward but it's still a great way to make pokemmoney!!
@ignaciovk56 I don't do it because it hasn't been an issue for me but if yours is surviving, teach whimsicott momento! I think it learns for free when evolving and then it can at least self ko on turn 2. Also when rebreeding, make sure to go with as low in all 3 defenses with your cottonee. I think that's why they always target mine over torkoal!
@@JinxedBoon My whimsicott has lower Def and S.Def than my Torkoal. Also I use a Trainning Link on it to avoid having to re-breed. Thanks for the momento tip, I'll look into it!
How to get water sprout tm?
It's an egg move so will need a male wailmer with water spout to breed a remoraid. Then take that remoraid and breed it with a squirtle. It's a bit complicated to move to squirtle unfortunately

Welcome to the game! Once you beat a region, you can go back and fight the leaders every 18 hours! They pay really well but have high level pokemon. If you are familiar with MMO dailies, this is basically pokemmos daily mission! Because amulet coins and riches charms only last 1 hour though, it's always the goal to get as many as possible in that time. Once you have a couple of regions completed, you can start these! I recommend buying an amulet coin from the gtl and using it, then trying to complete as many gyms as possible! The strat in the video is designed to be as efficient as possible while being pretty mindless. There are other strats that get 32-36 gyms but require a lot more thinking

You just need to practice and get faster! Quicker inputs, team swaps, and pathing to gyms takes practice but you will get faster with some time

@marianasilva-bq7uq I was trying to be nice lol it doesn't require more than one run through to learn it. I know of many other more complex strats that get more gyms but if you could show me a strat where you hold ctrl + a for an hour and get more than 30 gyms done, I'd be impressed
@@JinxedBoon is not easy as you think...even for a begginer torkoal team will take a while to use full potential and really becomes braind dead...but any team after some pratice will become brain dead, so i cant see the point on using torkoal team in 2024, for me is literally outdated.

Always use a coin! Even if you buy one, you will always make more using one! Even if you pay 20k for one, you only need to beat 5 gyms to make your money back!

He has a little side quest to do! He should be wandering around town. If you talk to him, he will send you south of town into the cave south east and you do something there, I can't really remember

Yup! I usually do it on mobile although sometimes I miss the charm on the 30th gym just because it's a little slower. Still a good 29 gyms consistently on mobile though!

Why? I literally show 30 gyms in an hour. I sometimes only hit 29 on bad rng but it's pretty easy

@cathd5675 yes you definitely need strings for this. Even with the worst rng possible in every gym, you will pretty easily hit 28 or 29 gyms in this run. If you are only getting 16-18, you are doing something severely wrong
