Oh it's evidently not dead, it just went back to a normal state after the worldwide buzz that was of course not the standard player base

@@GalopaWXY That's why I still stand by what I said. Of course people are leaving because they've done everything they wanted to for now. The game is still in EARLY ACCESS and these updates are proof that they still want to put a lot of work in. They quiet literally stroke gold and they're looking at what the fans want, asking what bugs we are experiencing and wondering what would make this better. They clearly don't want to leave this game in Early Access hell.

The strongest devices runs the server and we all join the party with the shared code.

If you think about it Pal bases are very similar to MSF/DD. Staff are from captured former foes or volunteers, are self sustaining, have animal callsigns with an adjective, and often learn CQC techniques from Big Boss.

Edit: Most my mods are QOL stuff. Infinite carry weight in camp, more palbox space, more player levels (purely to increase carry weight), base pal unsticker, assign pals, etc. and some model changes
The only mod I have is Build up to 128 Bases only because 3 bases is not enough when you can only put so much in each base

Good to see this game wasn't just one giant shitpost after all and the devs are actually sticking with it. I had a tonne of fun with it before basically running out of stuff to do, so I'm definitely looking forward to seeing this game grow!

They knocked it out of the park with this one. The last raid boss's (Bellanoir) design was awesome, and the new one is even better!
That new raid appears to just be a Blazamut Noct by the looks of it. When I heard there was going to be a new raid I was kind of hoping for something with a totally unique and new design like how Bellanoir was.
@@Vallamaria I do feel that way, too, but with the fact that they added so much *else* in this update I am willing to allow for a Pal like Blazamut to serve as a Raid Boss. If the update had been just the size of the Bellanoir update and Blazamut Noct was the highlight of the update, I would be ticked off. But with a decent chunk of completely new Pals, a whole new island with new biomes, new features in the form of stronghold raids and the arena... it's honestly hard to be mad at them for this one.
I think raids are going to become a mixture of new unique species and unique subspecies for existing Boss Battle Pals.

@@1234numbers would need to change a few UIs around, setup some IK blends, and add a different physics mode for throwable objects(pal spheres), but unreal engine has a native VR mode that can be flipped on with just a few buttons (and if controller mapping is set correctly it's stupid fast to map the controls, if they didn't already auto populate due to default engine settings. Unless it's the vive wands, I have that and an OG rift and let me tell you vive wands SUCK)
You can play Palworld and many other flatscreen games in VR with the UEVR Injector mod.

Story progression: that’s what’s needed in all honesty
Story is usually the last thing that gets made in these types of games. I assume they have a few big updates left before they cool up a full story.

Why? People like to capture cute stuff. This game didn't need heavy anime enforcement. Nor did it sell ugly af pixels with a story that basically goes "gotta be on top because". Nor did it start with anything closely resembling a setting.
It's a rework of an asset flip. It's a mod, like dota. Sure, dota grew some story(that people question to this day) a decade or more after its inception(backed by a megacorp). But it's far, FAR too early for Palworld to do it.
Maybe once they lock in a playerbase, prepare for a sequel\expansion, pool the cash for some marketing, maybe some youtube OVAs or something - THEN we could MAYBE get something akin to a story.
But right now it's a gold rush and an attempt not to lose the playerbase.
just like ark survival evolve. took them like few years just to finish the lore. and the ending cutscene for genesis release after the new release ark survival ascendent and the dlc been out like 3 - 4 years.
It's an Open World game. Linear storytelling would do more harm than good. Zelda BotW's way would be great though. Three cities, questlines ending in the bossfights, hard final area with 50+ lvl pals ... Yeah, could work

The update is really cool and I have a couple more suggestions: Pals can also interact with furniture, like play on piano (Quality of play can also depend on Pal), look at themselves in the mirror (Some will be confused, some examine themselves, some straight up pose). The chance of them doing that can also depend on work priority at base, means on Relaxed they'll be very likely to do it.
When you fight with bosses and aim at them, appears a small screen with elements as a hint.
Another feature could be adjustment of auto pick-up, you can pick in menu which materials will character (And/or Pal) will pick up.
From more basic one's is optimisation, don't know if it's issue on my end but according to task manager - game doesn't takes even half of resources, and neither I use max graphics, but in some areas it drops in FPS to lower constant values. Also game crashes whenever I get in combat by the bandits' outpost.
When you build a structure outside of base zone - near it appears a warning sign for a few seconds. Useful when building defensive walls on the edge.
Also you can add more petting animations with Pals, like player can also hug them.
0:05 if you look at the left side of your screen you'll find a Lifmunk effigy
