Great advice. I wish you could give speech to MBBS students in india, explaining the role of nurses in patient care and the need for teamwork. Generally, doctors in india consider nurses as their assistants, not a team member. Forgive me if my observation is wrong.

I had a friend Alice eappen, exactly looks like you Alice mathew, she work at cath lab, she had PhD. She give me lot of advice like you Alice. My sister went for nursing 1958. I was in. U S. A 25 years living Kerala last 15 years after retired. Enjoying kerala life without any complaints. I watch your vedieo. I hope you both enjoying your mathews retirement home. The nurses nowadays in kerala are not dedicated except some. They advice the bystanders to attend the patient. Not bothered at all. Discarge bill they take huge money as nursing charge. Not afraid of doctors.
So sad. Such nurses will suffer in foreign countries.

Suprr mam, here in kerala it is entirely different.I am a retired nurse from govt. service, a majority of doctors from govt service their goal is how to earn money no matter what happened to others. They think they are only the superior and nurses are nothing only to do job as slaves.They dont even consider the patient, not consider the condition of patients. Most of them looking for the private practice to earn money for themself. Among this a very few doctors are very dedicated and not consider the money. I dont know about private sector , the condition may be same in cases of nurses.

Thousands of retired Nurses in Kerala. Make an Association in Kottayam. Before 1965 most of the parents did not prefer to send their daughters to Nursing. After 1985 parents allowed to send their Daughters in Nursing. Only during 1970 few Nurses from Mumbai, Delhi, Calcutta etc started their Nursing job in USA. US citizenship started after wards. Nursing job is good because of Salary in foreign countries. Every body needs good salary for living. In Kerala, where is salary. A BSN will get Rs.30,000 per month. In Mumbai or Delhi good salary. My view is that all qualified Nurses should migrate to developed countries. All countries are good. Why living and working in Kerala. Once I liked Kerala but not now. Where is peace, love, cooperation. Nasty politics. Fighting inside Christians community. Faith Fighting. Nobody interested to take care parents mostly old parents. What is in Kerala??

Ww must migrate only if we have real poverty in our home or wish to help family.Foreign countries are not like old times.our six co workers can be feom six countries and very difficult to adjust. No leisure. 😰
