    I installed one as well on my 09’ C50 and agree that it certainly made a difference. Coincidentally I have been looking at the older valkyries as well. Not sure I want to head back to carbs vs FI but otherwise they look the part for what I’m looking to upgrade to.

      Dan Howell thanks. I did get a 2015 Valkyrie, which of course is FI. I’ve never ridden the prior gen Valk but I know people love them. My 2015 is a great bike! I loved the C50 but a bit underpowered for me-the K&N helped. And it was too small for my wife to enjoy as a pillion. Thanks again!

    I added the Gman performance air box with Matching K&N filter...The bike significantly quicker then I added the Gman Industries EFI "Bully "
    and yes I immediately notice even more performance as the bike NOW is fast enough and way more fun as there is no lag at all. I am so pleased with this upgrade (stage 2) I have stock pipes...The upgrade pipes are all too loud for my neighborhood.
    I asked Gary about pipes he said pipes would add noticeable performance ..But not near the difference of airbox- EFI Controller makes...I just put on the comfort upgrade a Mustang seat system.part #79621 woo hoo no more numb butt..Worth the money. My 2013 C
    50 is fun, fast enough now and is comfortable The Seat more important than pipes now that I am in the seat and not on it.
    Keep on truck'in!

      Cool upgrades! I sold my C50 a while back to get something bigger for two-up riding but I wish I could have kept it. One of the coolest looking bikes I ever owned, hands down. Enjoy!

      @@jackstraw8519 in that case I think the next bike was either the Honda Valkyrie or the Kawasaki Vaquero. I’ve bought and sold so many bikes in the last ten years I can’t keep track anymore! Right now I have a trio of bikes I am very happy with: 2022 Royal Enfield Interceptor 650, 2017 Suzuki VStrom 650 and a 2021 BMW R18 Classic.

    Hello Q, I just started viewing your vlogs about a week ago, what got me watching was your purchase of the Suzuki C50T. I have a 2012 C50T bought it a little over 2 years ago, it only had 3,800 miles on it when I got it. I really like the cruiser for all the same reasons you have mentioned in your vlog just wished it had more power especially when on the highway. I only ride as a single rider, my wife of 38 years has no desire to get on the bike. I purchased a K&N filter about 3 months ago and haven't gotten around to installing it as the one I have is pretty new. Well based on your sheer enthusiasm during the test ride that filter is going on this weekend, perhaps this afternoon. Its in the mid 90's with high humidity this afternoon in Central FL so I won't be riding. I hope to get a ride in tomorrow am. Are you gonna keep the C50T now after the Valkyrie arrives?? Also, was curious when you were looking did you consider the C90T or C90 Boss? Thanks & Stay Safe !!

    • @QuentinsMotoVlog
      @QuentinsMotoVlog  Před 4 lety

      Thanks for the comments! To answer perhaps in reverse order, I did look at the C90 BOSS. They had a leftover 2018 at my local dealer that they priced all the way down to $7,999, brand new. But it was that orange color and it never looked quite right to me. I think a bike should please the owner's eye, which the C50 certainly does. Also, the C90 felt very heavy, which the C50 does not--another great thing about the C50. There are quite a few C90's for sale on Cycletrader, but if I am going to the trouble and expense of another bike I want something dramatically different. I've been looking at the Valkyries and the F6B's since they came out. Keep the C50? I think the F6C will do everything the C50 does and do it better, frankly. Time will tell. And there's the expense. So probably not. But if it wasn't for my wife I'd happily stay with the C50. It's so comfortable, looks great, and the K&N really opened it up. Hope you get the same result!

      Hey Q, yes I am a happy camper with the K&N Filter, I was very pleased and surprised with the added pick up in power in 3rd, 4th and 5th gears. I got out earlier this am and rode 30 miles on different type roads and speeds. Its not a huge difference but its certainly enough to get your attention and put a smile on your face !!. Also, did you notice a bit more of a throater tone to the pipes, after adding the filter? It must be all the added air the engine is getting. It will be interesting to see wat it does to improve the MPG on longer rides.
      Thanks again for your vlog and motivating me to install that filter this weekend.

    Thank you for the K&N review and feedback. When purchasing the K&N air filter, would I need to just buy just the actual filter, which will then fit my current air filter casing, or do I need to buy a K&N assembly kit, which contains the K&N air filter? Or could I fit the K&N air filter to my stock air filter casing? Thanks.

    • @QuentinsMotoVlog

    The 'L' shaped rubber tube on the old filter plate, does that need to go on the K&N filter plate? I know that grommets gets transferred over, but what about the tube?

    You can remove the air filter, that essentially what K&N air filter does, you can see through k&n filter, it's not the best to the engine.
