My tuition is giving me practice tests and say that it's year 8 level. Practice tests online feel like a year 6 level test, if what my tuition says is true. How can I find a 'good' online practice test?
Hi, was just wondering because some people told me that only 2 per original school could get in? Like if there’s four applicants, 2 would get in and 2 would miss out. Is this true?

Hi Charlie, I have a small question. Out of 50 or 60, how many marks are highly recommended to definitely get into a Selective High School?
Typically ~85% is a superior (depending on the year and difficulty of the exam this can change a lot). Ideally aiming for >75% in each section at a minimum is very strong.

Hi :) Do you think it's likely i could get in when like 9 people from my grade are attempting the exam . I haven't had a tutor or anything for the exam so I am a bit worried. I've been trying to study but its really hard without any support.
Search Select entry high school practice test, I am in the same position except I am the only person from my shool taking the exam and I haven't had any tutoring.

ahaha, i'm in practically the same situation as you, except practically everyone in my class is trying out 😭, good luck to you though!! i think the best way to prepare without any tuition is by familiarizing yourself with the types of questions in the exam, there are a couple youtube channels that focus on this!
Is 1 superior 2 above 1 high 1 average enough if your in a bad school (for schs)
You probably need 2 superiors at least, I’ve rarely seen people get in with only 1 sup
1 superior is fine but you really wanna aim for above or high average, 1 average can put you in a tough spot even with 1 superior
how different is acer from edu?
The main changes ACER have published are that Numerical Reasoning has been replaced by Quantitative Reasoning, and there's a change in the way the Writing section of the exam works (it runs for 40 mins, with 2 tasks for students to complete). Got 3 above average and 3 average this year for Acer year 9 entrance. Didn’t get in tho😂

i think so because 3 superiors can get you in so i think 4 superiors would give leeway for some averages!

Just to tell you, people with 5 superiors and just 1 average havent gotten in, as I’m aware you need 2 superiors (minimum) and the rest must be above high average

I was wondering if I would be able to get into Nossal High School with scores of
Writing-Top 10%
Reading-Top 20%
Verbal- Average or Above Average
Numerical Reasoning- Average
Maths-Below Average
You need minimum 2 superiors, 2 above averages, and 1 high average to get in. But it depends on how many people from your school are trying and the total amoun. For example, if there are 100 people in your school's year level, only 4 people will get in. So if 12 people try, 8 of them will miss out.

depends on which shcool youre going for.
Most likely, this will not be high enough unfortunately! Particularly for Melbourne High or Macrob.
