Hey!! just want to share that the road i.e. JAMMU-SRINAGAR highway is undergoing to construction so that's why the road conditions are not pleasent...it might feel clinky...Although here at kathua there is too much construction for expressway but let's hope that the road be sooner get ready and it will reduce the traffic and time :)

07:25 this section of NH44 is super awesome 👌. I went to Katra Vaishno Devi on my Honda Activa 125 last year from Faridkot (Punjab). Maza aa gaya tha ride karke is route par. Curves bahut pyare hain ❤

All trucks start from 11 AM. I usually start in morning 5AM and covered Jammu Srinagar in 5 hours max. Yes it happens :)

Hello all.
It will be very helpful if u can clarify few queries.
I'm arriving at Jammu tawi on 28th April. Can anyone please answer following queries :
1. Do I need to book these bus tickets in advance ? As it is not showing in JKSRTC.
2. What is the current status of traffic on Jammu Srinagar highway ? Usually how much time is expected ?
3. Is it a good idea to cover gulmarg sonmarg and pahalgam on bike ? Or roads are covered in snow ?
4. I ve to catch my return train from Jammu at 9:45 pm on 7 may. If I start from pahagam at 8 morning bus...will I be able to catch that train ?

Patnitop k road se srinagar 2 din nahi lagtay. Tunnel bannay se pehle yahi NH44 tha, tunnel se distance 1.5 hr kam hua hai. Agar patnitop jaana chaho toh ja saktay ho sirf 1-2 hrs extra lagega na ke 2 din.
In my experience, if there is huge traffic near tunnel entry which is a usual scenario & usually take 15 mins to 1 hrs, I will prefer to follow patnitop route. It's beautiful + less hectic.

Before this tunnel was constructed Patnitop road had many landslide spots,passed through crowded market of batote nd kud ,And also received snowfall which pushed traffic jam to days,This tunnel not only cut the distance but also solved these 3 problems
But yea I think it would be less hectic today

You can directly take a volvo from delhi to shri Mata vaishno devi katra. Many people travel from delhi to katra. That would be great help if u make a vlog on this route.

Mughal road is an alternate route, Infact it occupies 30 percent of road traffic from Jammu to Kashmir.. Its is more scenic, more beautiful and attractive

😀 Better take flight from Delhi to Srinagar. Tickets also available within your limits if taken 3 months in advance. For example in off season I have tried Kolkata to Srinagar via Delhi in Spicejet leaving Kolkata at 7.30am reached Delhi airport at about 10.00am. ( Delayed due to heavy traffic) Connecting Srinagar flight at 11.15am & reached 1pm. At Srinagar Airport. Cost less than 6000/_ totally saving 2days that may cost about 3000/_+meals.

Where did u stay in Srinagar - hotel name & location?
Did this route in 1st week of Jan 22; & it was a painful & frustrating journey. Got down at Banihal and took the DEMU to Srinagar .. The worst thing was snowfall was yet to start and had to do a regular train journey without snow on the railway route..
