In this episode I will be going over the various features of this tank and laying out my vision and plan for building this lego star wars moc, such as how big it will be, what the interior will look like and how it will move around. coming at you via lego time lapse builds!

    Just an idea: If you wanted to still have a very large and detailed tank, you could just place it over the large rock pillar that you were planning to use to hold the two bridges together. That way, you could still have wafer thin bridges, and a very large and heavy tank. Please consider! Keep up the great work!

      I'm not worried about the tanks weight it's just the width I was trying to figure out. The bridge will be well built.

    Looks great! Good choice shrinking it just a tad, will def fit the scene better. The repulsers look awesome as well!

    UT-AT and the Galactic Marines are one of the few things I wish Lego would do. Making custom Galactic Marines is hard and time consuming especially because you have to paint them for some parts.
    I would spend an ungodly ammount of money to build a Galactic Marine Army.

    It would be awesome if you used the current scale UT-AT for this MOC, and then after the MOC, rebuild the UT-AT to that UCS minifigure scale.

  • @grindingbricks

    This is going to be great, as a MFS aficionado and advocate i do understand and approve of the shrinkage of the vehicle, it's a massive artillery unit for sure!
    Here's one suggestion i'd have for you for the build/design process of the model. Now that you've established the overall dimension that you need, I'd focus on the "exterior shell" of the vehicle instead of the frame and interior. Because that's what is going to determine the final size of the model. By going from frame to shell the risk of getting all your proportions out of control is much more likely as you're imposing a "rigid reference" to everything that you lay on top of it. By starting with the outer shell, you then adapt your frame size and interior configuration to the actual size of the vehicle you're building. Hope it makes sense, that's a lesson i've learned the hard way while working on complex models, started with the foundation and then had to redo it completely after trying to get the exterior shell fitted properly on the frame i thought would work. Cheers!

      Next episode I will start designing the outer panels and more of the exterior, I just needed a base to start with first. The interior building was more so there would be something actually interesting happening and people would keep watching 😂. I appreciate the suggestions!

  • @younameit_GG
    @younameit_GG Před 11 měsíci +1

    you should have a technic brick frame under the plates and maybe plates under the bricks aswell (like the brickvault at-te). this looks super flimsy.

    • @coconutbricksstudios
      @coconutbricksstudios  Před 11 měsíci +1

      I'm sure as the series progresses I will strengthen it, this episode was more about figuring out the size and starting the design. Most builds start out pretty flimsy that's just the nature of building.

    • @younameit_GG
      @younameit_GG Před 11 měsíci

      @coconutbricksstudios ah I see! Can't wait to see what you come up with! I built an at-te based on pictures of the brickvault one. But I tried to make it more screen accurate. It was a really fun project!

  • @garonlowke7951

    Was always interested in what this was , big star wars nerd, but entered in after the books fell into the shadow of series and films and never got into comics. I will say, if you're concerned about the bridge bending you could use technic to build struts and supports, which could be used for effects like explosions in this and future works. Also, not too sure about the wall slope, but would it make sense to move the chairs back 3 studs? Also, I'd love more in depth, it helps me become a better builder myself. Looking forward to the next video.

    • @coconutbricksstudios
      @coconutbricksstudios  Před 11 měsíci

      The bridge is coming together as part of the Mygeeto series I mostly just needed to figure out the width so I knew how big the tank would be.

    For the bridge, to make it more stable you could use the 16x16 technic brick plate to make them more stronger and easy to build for you. (the bricklink number of that pieces: 65803)

      That's not the same at all lol, the at-te's six legs are one of its main defining features whereas no one knew how many repolsers were on this tank till I mentioned it.
