I purchased my first set in May 2012 because I developed tennis elbow and needed a way to work around my injury, These bands are the best, I went into a depression when I stopped the weights but these bands helped me gain alot of muscle tone back & I thanked Blake K. the inventor directly, he's a nice guy and Im glad he invented them.

I'm a fitness professional and have had the Bodylastics bands for many years (in fact I believe I had the first run of bands featuring the anti-snap feature). I have never had an issue w/ the bands, if you take care of them and don't overstretch them or abuse them on any unsuitable surfaces (ex. placing them under your feet on a floor that is abrasive) they should last indefinitely!
I love the quality of the door anchors, handles, and ankle straps, plus the versatility of being able to attach multiple bands in various increments of resistance.

I bought Loop Bands a week ago , I want to try them because I think is a good idea for training at home!

As a now road biker and former gym hitter, I was looking for a nomad solution to keep some muscle mass in my upper body while building up legs and cardio through biking. These are perfect for that purpose. Bodyweight work out is probably even more efficient but I found it to be quite taxing on the joints, where as rubber bands will do good for your muscle still and spare your muscle insertions. Plus the bag is a whole gym that you can carry everywhere you go (on vacation, stopping by at your gf's, when on a mission abroad for work...) and it stores like a wonder at home. Excellent bundle.

Thank you for a clear and simple introduction to the bands and how to use them. The door anchor is a brilliant idea for all the reasons that you mentioned. Thank you.

I'm looking at getting these. I have several tendonitis and arthritis issues. Always lifted very heavy and have trouble even picking weights up now. Hopefully these be a great work around and have good resistance and durability.

Hi there Anthony, is there any video in which you talk about training the external rotators of the shoulder using the elastic bands? I'm dealing with a bit of an unbalance between my front and back chains and I would really need an advice. Thank you

I'm comparing their different packages. I think you have the set with 4 handles instead of 2, 4 ankle straps instead of 2, and 2 anchors instead of 1. That set has one extra level of resistance, which I like. Do you find the extra attachments useful?

Does it need to be anchored to a solid hollow metal frame door? I would think that an ordinary wood frame door wouldn't hold up?

Life line has higher poundage bands. So do you recommend bands over straps? A lot of those on youtube like straps. I have bands myself. They are an excellent addition to my bodyweight exercises

Not sure how 'active' this comment section still is, but question: I've had several brands of bands and my experience is that the shiny ones are where the latex feels 'sticky'. Those I do not like. I have a set that seems to be impregnated somehow with what seems like talcum powder and those are very good. They have a consistent stretch over the full length. Are these bodylastic ones like that? They have a consistent stretch, or are they like those cheaper A-express ones that stretch ones and then lose some stretch in the process. Also, these ones seem hard to find now? Thanks for input!

    • @quentonwillis3846

Lx Beltran I've snapped two red 8lbs bands. One while curling, one while doing a chest press. Didn't hit me either time. The tubing snapped in half, but the rope on the inside remained intact. It lightly dropped on the floor. The only pain I felt was emotional. Lol.

I got my Strongman set last week, I got a better bag, is like a small duffel bag, very nice, I didn't get the poster, I got a booklet with exercises, I was disappointed about that. The bands are great.

+missj Stephens Hi Jessica, yes they can help if you produce enough muscle tension with them. Especially if you focus on the mind to muscle connection I've been talking in these videos: czcams.com/video/hmqHNrjrwSk/video.html&list=PL4MP4kSHukcGzJlswSGY16R5KTaqjR1ph&index=3

yes as long as there are no abrasive/sharp edges that can cut the rubber. I recommend wrapping the area in tape or a towel (something soft) to protect the bands.

My yellow 5lb band disintegrated in three years. These are not very long lasting and the so called "Lifetime Warranty" says you have to pay more than half the value of the item for "shipping". So, you can do it again three years later? Not a great deal.
