Dope. Subscribing!
Great video John! You pack in so much information in these videos.
NeoTurboManiac Thank you!!! 🍻
They haven't made a new Gauntlet in 10 years so I made "Shred The Undead" with Gauntlet fans in my heart. Would love to know what you think of it. The demo is on Steam and supports four players. Instead of Warriors and Wizards, it's Musicians. "Red Guitarist Needs Food Badly"
I feel like this game was actually a rather big influence in much of what we see in the original Doom funnily enough.
I can see that totally! 🤙🍻
And Diablo.
I played it on my arcade 1 up today and it’s still fun
What arcade 1up do you have?
You get a lawsuit, you get a lawsuit, everybody gets a lawsuit!
3 Men and 1 Woman is a Gauntlet Heroic 4 Playable Characters.
This was by far the best game, but all gone now.
Another great video John. This game was a total token sucker that I generally avoided as a kid. I hated the fact that your health depletes constantly. However, when I did play it, you know I was I always the warrior :) P.S. as one American to another (presumably), if you do not pronounce the ZX Spectrum as the "zed-x" spectrum Brits get super annoyed and I have gotten a lecture that since they say Jay-Z, instead of Jay-zed, I should say Zed-X spectrum rather than Zee-X. Just a friendly warning lol...
Jake Smith Thanks for checking out the video and thanks for the warning too⚠️ never knew about the Zed-X thing (American) I always thought it was Zee-X. Gonna have to start working the proper way of pronouncing it in the vids 🍻🤙.
@@RetroArcadeGamingRAG I can see it both ways. On one hand, the ZX Spectrum is iconically British and they are very nostalgic and proud of its success so pronouncing it the British way makes sense. On the other hand, one could argue that ZX is akin to a model number and not warranting proper noun treatment. Also, one could argue that it doesn't matter and who cares!
Jake Smith sounds like a good idea for a video... I like the little details
