あと日本人って割と古いもの好きだから永く愛用するよね。今の時代、海外では既に電子書籍に移り、
新聞も売れないけど、日本ではまだまだ売れている。おまけに今は中国ですらキャッシュレスだけど、
日本ではクレジットカードを使えない店が多い。おそらく紙幣も好きなのは、紙好きなんだろうと思う。

子どもの頃、一番好きなギャグ漫画はホモホモセブンだった
ヨーロッパの教会のステンドグラスは窓ごとに分割された絵物語になっているもの多いですよ。当時の貧しい民衆は識字率が低かったので、聖書の物語を理解させるガイドとして、絵物語を作る意味があったんです。

以前から気になってましたが、「この世界の片隅に」の英語版タイトル、
"In This Corner Of The world"
は、間違ってるような気がしてなりません。これだと「世界のこの片隅に」となってしまい、微妙に原題とニュアンスが違って伝わってしまうのではないかなぁ…と。細部にこだわった映画なだけに、個人的には残念です。
英語タイトルは、監督と双葉社が協議して決めた模様

陸軍の兵学校???陸軍の将校養成機関は兵学校とは呼びません。それは海軍の呼称です。陸士・海兵という言葉を御存知ありませんか?陸軍士官学校も、陸軍予備士官学校も広島にはなかった筈ですから、岡田さんの御父上は将校ではなくて一兵卒として徴兵され新兵教育を受けたということなのではありませんか?
