The fact that there were almost no cutaways really enhances the story and allows for more real jokes to have an impact.
So far the rule has held true; the best Family Guy episodes are the ones without cutaways and where the humour is very deadpan.
Most of those episodes are Brian and Stewie ones, but this and another one where they're in a hurricane also make the cut.
I'm guessing it's bc the more confident they are in the plot/humor, the less cutaways they have

@@safebox36 there's one episode per season setup that way, iirc they start with the " road to Rhode Island " and then the sequels to it with Brian and Stewie .
the reason no cutaways is based on the A plot.

That scene makes me believe Brian’s theory that Stewie doesn’t have it in him to kill Lois

I love that they chose to do an episode based on And Then There Were None. It's such a good mystery and this honestly one of the most enjoyable episodes of Family Guy for me. The humor isn't too overdone and the jokes are really fun, and the twists at the end are so good

Fun fact: This episode was supposed to be originally be the Family Guy finale. Peter and Lois were supposed to be killed off in this episode. But because Seth didn’t want to end his show yet, the whole episode had to be changed.

I was confused when you called this the Among Us episode. I saw this as the Clue episode, it was the one I remembered most out of every episode as a child!
And then there were none, it’s based off a book but it is very similar to clue as well

I love how this episode at the time just came out of nowhere with near cinematic quality. It was well written and genuinely funny with actually well done cinematic shots. Yeah this is definitely the closest we ever got to a Family Guy movie.

Apparently Family Guy was doing Among Us before Among Us was even a trend. Probably a good thing. Because there’s even an Among Us in Real Life music video by Rebecca Zamolo these days.

I will say the only criticism i have for this is that despite the premise being "anyone dies dies forever" they don't really kill too many major characters.They kill off like a couple characters i'm pretty sure exist only for this episode, mort's wife who was never that major a character or even that interesting or memorable and a girl I'm not sure appeared before but i THINK she did. THe only major characters they killed off were james woods (a recurring antagonist) and the news reporter lady (who's been a part of the show since the start)
Derek is also another reoccurring character they killed but he was in like 2 episodes before this

Jamed woods would lend his voice to almost any show/film that asks for it.
He said one of his favorite roles was Hades from Hercules. He said he enjoys playing the character in other forms of media, too, like in Kingdom Hearts.

It's a rather clever way to get rid of characters they do not need while making a plot out of it. Diane is one of more shocking permement deaths as she has been here since the beginning so seeing tom without her was weird for awhile.
Even though I’ve seen every episode up to this episode I totally forgot Derek was an actual character, I thought it was just a character they brought in to kill like Quagmire’s girlfriend
i really love this episode, they give you time to breathe and get invested in the story while in family guy you can hardly follow it, nor do you NEED to, because the writing is simplistic to allow for all the damn gags lol

For anyone not aware since I wasn't until a few months ago, this episode is based on a book (and movie adaptation) called "And Then There Were None" which is really good, imo. Obviously don't bother if you don't like murder mysteries.
